Now you've all buggered off. Pah!

eca · 17/04/2007 16:17

Katy - I've just woken up from a sleep too and feel crap!

Maveta - sorry no idea about car seats. They confuse me (read: STRESS ME OUT!!) alot In fact the mere thought of your dilema is making me nervous! Hope you sort it!

Ellie - sounds the right decision re:Justin. Glad to hear it's sorted.

EM - very irresponsible tut tut

Right I'm going to go and mooch round waitrose looking at food I can't really afford, but need because I'm pregnant!! Not got this excuse for much longer ! It does include a drive there, so I will try not to go into labour en-route! But after mw's verdict this am I don't think there's much chance of that! See you all later! xx

eca · 17/04/2007 16:18

We're all out driving EM!!

Katy44 · 17/04/2007 16:19

No emmymummy, we're just waiting for the police to arrive, pursing our lips, shaking our heads and tutting!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 17/04/2007 16:20

Welcome back EM!!

Eca, enjoy Waitrose! Dh goes mad if I shop in there as it is so expensive! Go careful now Mrs.

Ellie, glad you are sorted with Justin/BC etc.

Katy44 · 17/04/2007 16:21

I have to say I assumed if contractions came on I would be able to drive through them (or at least get myself out of harm's way in time) but didn't like to say on the other thread as it seems SO irresponsible!
Glad you haven't given birth in the car - would you have had the car seat set up ready to bring the LO home??

Katy44 · 17/04/2007 16:22

We went to waitrose for the first time in years on sunday (new one openened fairly recently, it's the only one for about 100 miles!) and it was lovely! It's too expensive for a regular shop but nice to wander round and get stuff to spoil yourself.

maveta · 17/04/2007 16:31

Never been to Waitrose...

Ooh yes Ellie - am so glad you have Justin´s parents behind you to support you in your decisions xx

Eca - TELL ME ABOUT IT!

Emmymummy - You are a BADASS!

geordiemacminx · 17/04/2007 16:38

Hey ladies... had quite a chilled out day here, asda, cstard slices and pottering about in the nursery

Maveta you have completly stressed me out about car seats now - as we bought a "proper" car for me and the baby - tried the pram in the boot but havent actually tried the car seat.. cue me humping it downstairs to go and try it as soon as I have the energy... perhaps another custard slice will help..

Katy - where is the waitrose? Think my mum mentioned it a while ago but I obviously tuned out that conversation...

Ladies that are stil with child... and have a tape measure to hand (doesnt everyone???) measure around your tummy..over you belly button... no playing with yours maveta!! - I just did mine - 46 inches!!!!

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 16:39

We love Waitrose here, but have a very good excuse as dh works for them so we get a discount! Off to measure my tummy before the police get here.

maveta · 17/04/2007 16:41

Sorry GMM - think you´d better stick to the custard slices and let dp sort it out when he gets home - it is annoying though, we also checked out how to fit the pram in the boot and all that and never thought before now to check the seat fit - just presumed it would! Doh.

Mine is 41"

geordiemacminx · 17/04/2007 16:44

41???? {very jealous emoticon}

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 16:44

43". Scary.

Dh has checked that the car seat goes in the back of his car, but haven't tried it in mine yet. No point really as am getting a new one at the end of the month as mine only has 3 doors so is a bit tricky with kids & car seats. Shame as I love my bashed up old Peugeot.

geordiemacminx · 17/04/2007 16:46

right so the reason my bump is so huge is cos I'm only 5 foot... tell me you two are both way taller than me and therefore the baby has more room to stretch length ways as opposed to out ways... please..... please!!!!

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 16:47

I'm about 5ft 7" GMM. Does that make you feel better?

maveta · 17/04/2007 16:47

ah but GMM If I could measure my arse it would probably make you feel better but I can see this degenerating rapidly into frantic measuring of body parts and all of us crying into our hot chocolates before bed.

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 16:49

And if I measured around my ankles that is sure to make you feel better.

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 16:49

Actually my arse is probably the same measurement as my stomach....

geordiemacminx · 17/04/2007 16:51

thats ok then.... perhaps I dont feel quite so bad now.... just a bit panicky that he's gonna be a 10lb'er and I'm gonna have to be stitched from arse to elbow!!!!

maveta · 17/04/2007 16:52

I´m 5´7.5" (yes the half inch still counts if you are taller!!) so yes, that´s what it will be. My best friend is a teeny 5´2" and she looked like a little round beach ball when she was 9 months gone (love you baby!!)..

maveta · 17/04/2007 16:54

LOL GMM - I´m worried they´re going to pull out this teeny tiny little 6lber and be all "No he´s really tiny, the rest of it is all YOU"!

Katy44 · 17/04/2007 16:54

Will measure my stomach as soon as I can find a tape measure.
Has everyone else noticed their hands and feet have swollen? Does that go down immediately after the birth? Or is it a gradual thing?
GMM - it's in the Millburngate shopping centre, another reason why I don't go very often as it's right in the middle of town. If you do ever want to go though, park underneath, as far as I know you can then claim your parking charge back if you shop there (assume there's a minimum spend). We had a nice wander round durham on Sunday morning, trip into Waitrose to get a nice lunch, the day ended with me trying to convinve DH I'd made a baguette holder from a normal carrier bag and should patent it, then I asked him to hold it for 2 minutes wheile I bought something, when I got it back he'd snapped it in half and stuffed it in the bag

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 16:57

Katy - my feet look disgusting. I cannot wear any of my shoes, can only get into flip-flops. I have no idea what I'm going to do if the weather turns cold again - will be wearing wellies around the place I guess, or dh's size 10s! Apparently it'll all go down within a week of giving birth. My hands aren't quite so bad, but I have taken all my rings off as they were becoming uncomfortable.

Katy44 · 17/04/2007 16:59

When was the last time pesha posted? Might go and text her!

geordiemacminx · 17/04/2007 16:59

One of the most annoying things in supermarket world is buying a baguette and getting it home only to find its snapped - IT JUST DOESNT TASTE THE SAME!!

Maveta - round beach ball.... THATS ME!!!
