Hi everyone, we're expecting a little girl on 29th May Smile

@Gyoza We've got the Tutti Bambini Cozzee - we got it in January when there was £30 off. We didn't get the sheets to go with it, I'd read that they were a bit small for it oddly! We got some off eBay that were a lot cheaper and fit fine. We also got a waterproof mattress protector as the mattress isn't waterproof.

heatherxo · 05/03/2018 22:10

Hey ladies! I'm 30+3 weeks (due may 11th), with 2nd.
Can't really remember much from ds pregnancy..
Is it normal for movements to increase around this time? For the last 2 days or so, baby has been going absolutely mental in there! Proper rolls and jumps. Really increased movements from just last week!
Is this "normal"?

Noredwine · 05/03/2018 22:59

Yes! I found Pip Squeak a lot more active or at least more movement obvious to me between 30 and 32 weeks! Now not quite as frequent or big movements as think he/she is running out of space but more uncomfortable when gets in a funny position! X ouch!

SparklesandBubbles · 06/03/2018 00:06

I have a very wriggly baby. I'm 28+2. Sometimes I don't know what it's up to in there - having a party I think!! Had a growth scan today and all is good. Weighing 3lb3oz already. Apparently tummy is on the large side - is this something I should worry about? I don't really know what it means to be honest. Also at miniGTT today - horrific taking all those energy tablets - I felt so sick!

Pinsleepe2018 · 24/03/2018 09:11

Hello everyone, I'm a total newbie both to Mumsnet and pregnancy! Due 8th May (33w + 4d) and my little girl is also quite wriggly and sometimes it feels like she's trying to push against all of my internal organs. Attention seeking maybe :) totally underprepared in terms of baby stuff, we are moving in July/August so worried about getting too much stuff and then wanting something else once in the new place.... Argh this is all a bit overwhelming!! :)
One thing I've been thinking about is bathing - what would Mums with experience recommend?? Super simple baby bath (to put on the floor I guess) or a seat to put in the bath...?

SparklesandBubbles · 24/03/2018 10:18

@Pinsleepe2018 welcome. I'm feeling completely disorganised about baby coming (it is my second so I do have most things I need). I too have a really wriggly baby - made me physically jump last night at 4am!! For baby baths - I borrowed a tub style one from my sister. I also have a little seat for in the bath. I've heard the angel care ones are good.

cautiousoptimist1 · 24/03/2018 18:54

Hi pinsleep! I’m expecting baby number 2 so still have most things from last time but still feel under prepared! And our bathroom is being refitted in 2 weeks!

For a bath, we have a seat that goes in the normal bath and found it really useful. I personally would find a baby bath too heavy to manoeuvre once filled and the baby was very secure in the seat. I bought it from an NCT sale for £2 I think so a total bargain!

willisurvive3under2 · 24/03/2018 22:13

Hi @Pinsleepe2018 We had this bath tub for DS and thought it was excellent. Can't find it for sale anywhere though! We used it inside the main bath tub so it was easy to fill/empty. Have also tried a couple of different seats but didn't get on with them.

Having twins now and I've bought to Angelcare supports as I won't be able to fit two little bats in the main bath.

Sorry that should read two and baths. I'm not planning to put bats in the baby tub.

Noredwine · 26/03/2018 18:15

Pinsleep - it's my first so no prior experience but we have a big stand alone bath tub with very high and wide sides so I decided to get a baby bath that sits on its own stand as I am only short and know I wouldn't be able to lean down over the bath and hold baby in a baby bath tub or seat in the bath and was worried about kneeling on our wooden floor with a normal baby bath. Amazon sells a really good baby bath with stand and bath has built in thermometer and scales!

Pinsleepe2018 · 02/04/2018 22:04

Thanks all!! Similar to @Noredwine I have a bath with high sides so that seemed like it would be difficult to bend over. ordered a simple baby bath due to arrive tomorrow. @willisurvive3under2 that bath you shared a pic of looks really good shame it's not available! Hopefully the two angelcare seats will work out for you!!

purplebiro · 01/05/2018 18:54

Hello, checking in for the first time in aaaaaaaages, but excited it’s finally May! How’s everyone doing? I will be 37 weeks on Monday and definitely feeling it now - absolutely exhausted and not very mobile any more.

Fulltimeparent · 01/05/2018 19:24

I know how you feel purplebiro I'm 38+4 today, I'm counting down the days was having twinges last night thought yes here we go but sadly they stopped. Was waiting for someone to post maybe someone will have a baby soon.

SparklesandBubbles · 01/05/2018 19:53

@purplebiro and @Fulltimeparent I agree - I'm 37 weeks on Saturday and I'm feeling like I'm nearly ready for the baby to come now. I've been having days when my whole body aches! Not long now ladies!!

BlueRaincoat89 · 01/05/2018 20:15

I'm 36 weeks today and yep, knackered too! I don't remember what it's like to sit up and get out of bed - I just roll out Smile

This is my last week at work now so hoping things get easier then. When does everyone else finish?

purplebiro · 01/05/2018 20:33

I finished last week - had a week at Center Parks with our little girl last week, trying to get some quality time in with her before the new arrival. Had a lovely time but now very ready to rest: sahm friends keep texting and saying “we’re about if you fancy a coffee and cake” and i’m like “...nah!!”. I guess i’ll be bored in a few weeks but right now all I want to do is sleep, do little jobs, potter about...

purplebiro · 16/05/2018 13:14

Had a sweep yesterday, since then i’ve had lots of mucus with a bloody tinge, some cramping and lots of pressure in my lower abdomen. Is this it? I was induced with dd so went from 0-60 very quickly and no idea what early labour feels like!

SparklesandBubbles · 16/05/2018 15:13

@purplebiro good luck. Can't really advise as I was induced with my first too and never had natural contractions. Sounds like the right signs though. xx
