alipiggie · 12/04/2007 05:28

Fabulous news. So many gorgeous babies being born - actually making me very very broody. At least this is keeping it bumped for the morning crew.

GOOD LUCK EDDAS!!!!

Congratulations to Lesley and hope all is going well for CB and anyone else in labour! What a busy night.

Insomnia city here too, lots of tightenings, heartburn etc. However, DH came home from work last night & announced that he's taking today & tomorrow off in lieu of public holidays worked (probably because I freaked him out by bawling on his shoulder the other night & now he's all concerned, bless him). Hooray, so nice to have him around and get some help with dd !

Emmymummy · 12/04/2007 07:10

Congratulations Lesley!

Good luck Eddas (although I know you've already left for the hospital).

Ellie - do you ever sleep?

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 07:44

CONGRATULATIONS LesleyR

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 07:51

Fingers crossed for lots more healthy babies and mums by the end of today! Don't think I'll leave the computer this afternoon xxx

muminamassivetummy · 12/04/2007 07:53

Congratulations LesleyR!!!

Claricebean - really hope things are progressing for you too.
Thinking of you Eddas x

Gosh we didn't have a good night sleep wise did we....lol!

I ended up back in bed for about 1.15 and thank god dropped off till 6am. I am wide awake so have just made a brew and am going to go and lie in bed for an hour or so before I get up and get ready for my final midwife appointment.

Don't feel so bad this morning, although tummy still feels "wishy washy".

Laith - great news re DH...I am about to e-mail Phil, I feel really bad, just like I am not being a very good wife at the moment. I feel so wrapped up in this pregnancy that I have lost "Touch" with him a bit....he's started a new job and things and I feel like we are a bit distant sometimes. Not in a communication way as we do talk but in a Physical closeness way if that makes sense...oh god too early for emotional ramblings!!!

Wonder how many little babies there will be today!
x

doghouse · 12/04/2007 07:54

At last ... something may be happening in the Doghouse! Waters broke 5.30pm last night in restaurant car park (DH and I just parking car for our last meal out before we became 3!) Cramping started almost straight away but made some supper before heading into hospital at 9pm. Waters confirmed as broken and had a show ... 'tightenings' (not sure they call them contractions at this stage ) pretty regular but came home and managed through the night with TENS and now they seem to be less frequent although no less painful... think it could be a long day. If nothing happens today am booked for induction tomorrow (Fri 13th) which I really don't want so labour vibes please!

Good to hear from Smole and congrats LesleyR!

Love to all x

liath · 12/04/2007 07:59

Labour vibes sent to the Doghouse! Big Onion is bringing them along with some chocolate to give you stamina.

Glad you're feeling a bit better, MIAMT!

muminamassivetummy · 12/04/2007 08:02

YEY!!!

GO DOGHOUSE!!!!

Oooh dramatic waters breaking stuff....I always wondered what that would be like!!lol (apart from damp and umcomfortable obviously!!)

Sending all the labour vibes I can muster to you my lovely - GOOD LUCK!

Thanks Laithx

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 08:07

Good luck doghouse xx

Emmymummy · 12/04/2007 08:28

Woohooo Doghouse - good luck & speedy labour vibes to you honey, hope it all progresses quickly & smoothly. Keep us posted if you are able .

MIABT - know exactly what you mean about the physical closeness thing with DH. Feel a little distant from mine too at the moment (like you, we do obviously talk still), but I guess it's all to do with me feeling like all the focus & strain about the impending events are on me. He compared being pregnant to continously carrying a Bergen (very large, heavy army-type rucksack) around with you all the time. I said yes, except a Bergen doesn't wriggle around when you're trying to sleep, nor does it KNUF you when you're least expecting it, or make your boobs big and sore. Apart from that, exactly like a Bergen!

CaptainDippy · 12/04/2007 08:29

Ooooh, an exciting night!! Am at work ALL DAY today with no laptop so popping in to say I haven't had the baby - false alarm, it seems. Bum...

Anyway - need to race to get to work ....

All the Best Doghouse and Congratulations LesleyR on George Edward, gorgeous name, can't wait to hear more and see pics etc!!

Thinking ofy ou Eddas, will be fine - he/she will soon be here!

Nutty - Ring sling are FAB - couldn't recommend them more - which one are you tihnking of getting??

Hope Clarice has had / is having baby too!!

Big hugs andl abour vibes to all who want them xxxx

nellyhel · 12/04/2007 08:33

A busy night! Congratulations LesleyR, well done .

Tried to catch up quickly before DH came down this morning (don't want to let on exactly how much of my day is spent on PC!) but didn't take in much...

Nuttygirl - PMSL at you locking out dh. I would have done the same, no sympathy for me here from dh at all. Hope it is'nt the sore throat I had, it lasted 10 days and was the worst in years. I took strepsils though, think they were OK for pg, and definitely helped the most.

I had the best night sleep in ages despite weird aggrivation (sp?) of SPD last night - I just turned round in kitchen and was in real agony. Only just made it up the stairs to bed, so decided sex I'd planned wasn't a good idea (getting desperate here)... Still some aches and an upset stomach this morning, so maybe I'm getting due date arrival tomo as predicted (by me). Did suggest to dh as he left this a.m. I could find someone else to have sex with to get things going but he didn't look at all impressed. I was only joking obviously . Actually he was probably thinking "you'd be lucky". No sense of humour, honestly.

Have midwife at 9:15 so best get organised. Good luck doghouse, Eddas, CB and everyone else hoping for arrivals today xx.
