cazzybabs · 06/04/2007 16:03

Actually I cried today whilst reading on Mn about people's births...I want a baby so much and with my tummy aches and back aches I am sure this is all going to end with bad news.

BigCremeEggs · 06/04/2007 16:04

lucy5 · 06/04/2007 16:25

Congratulations all! I am from the December 2006 thread, I can't believe that there is a December 2007 one already!!!!!!!

mad4girls · 06/04/2007 18:41

thankyou lucy did your preganacy go well what did you have?

Caz10 · 06/04/2007 18:44

I am creeping in to join VERY quietly, as feeling so worried about it being so early! But - here goes - 4 weeks + 5, due 11th Dec!

Getting crampy pains esp in the evening which have been worrying me, but from reading other threads it seems to be ok. No bleeding, didn't even spot at time af was due so I guess that is good.

Just wanted to ask (sorry, tmi alert) - has anyone else had a dodgy tummy? From the time we must have conceived I was very constipated and bloated, now for the past couple of days it's been the complete opposite! No sickness, wondering if this is my version of it?! Thanks, and sorry!

mad4girls · 06/04/2007 18:50

i have been v. constipated last couple of weeks(unlike me ) and did have a couple of days where i was the opposite but not sure if it was a dodgy curry if that helps.

also got lots of trapped wind that very painful thought i was dying at first till it burst out dp wasnt too impressed we were in bed at the time

Caz10 · 06/04/2007 19:57

Thanks! I think I am tending to put every single twinge down to being pg, whereas of course life (and wind!) goes on as normal at same time!

thelady · 06/04/2007 20:25

Tuc biscuits and ginger ale to the rescue.... Been feeling fairly awful for the past 48 hours - tadpole is obviously busily installing "squatter's rights" placards all over the place Long may it continue!

DH is off to a performance of Stainer's Crucifixion (our GP is a splendid soprano) and I'm here as backup to the bar staff. Supposed to be doing the end-of-tax-year PAYE, NIC and other nasties....

Tell me, does this inability to add 2 and 2 and get the same answer continue all the way through?

Ambi · 07/04/2007 08:43

Morning girls, I know that this is a bit of "Does anyone else get..." but this is my first and I don't have many close female friends, let alone any who've had kids. My sleep pattern is a mess. Exhausted during day, going to bed about 9.30, not too early, then waking up about 2-3 wide awake. struggling to sleep then until bout 5am.

Queasiness has subsided a bit, maybe I'm getting used to it. Do get sharp pains now and again, which worry me, but i think constipation and wind are causing that and feeling bloated.

Feels too early to have such strong symptoms though, only 4 weeks, 2 days. So I'm further along or omg it's twins......

cazzybabs · 07/04/2007 08:47

Ambi - that sounds about right. I am so tired through the day and fall asleep early but wake up early. the thing is because I a a teacher I am holiday the moment so who knows what I'll be like when I am back at work.

OHH felt sick today for oh abotu half an hour. A good sign I think! And all side pains and back ache gone.

Am off to Kew gardens today so I will he shattered tonight

Ambi · 07/04/2007 08:55

Thanks Caz, messed up sleep cycle not in any books, but i know everyone's different

Ambi · 07/04/2007 08:59

Told our parents yesterday, they are pleased but we said we are not really gonna get excited until 12 weeks, but my mum couldn't stop grinning, both parents will be first time grandparents.

cazzybabs · 07/04/2007 09:01

OHH that is so nice! Will they be good grandparents? My parents are fab - even my dad has been known to change a few nappies! Infact when we go and stay I can't do anythng because granny and grandpa have to do everything from teeth brushing to wiping bottoms to putting ont he bed whilst I relax on the sofa glass of wine in hand!

Ambi · 07/04/2007 09:06

I reckon they will, didn't realise how much they were broody til going to my cousins at Xmas time and holding and cooing over the baby, weird seeing them with a baby since my little brother (now 23) was one!!! My mum is an ex-nurse and now potters around the house, so can't wait for something to occupy her mind, my dad thinks that grandads are old, i also have both grandparents who are very active and they only have one ggc each, so they will be so pleased.

cazzybabs · 07/04/2007 09:19

Oh god none of my summer clothes fit - its all the cheese I ate whilst TTC! Oh no......I wish I was joking. Must eat less and hopefully they will fit by the timeI go back to work. Even my trousers are a little tight.

thelady · 07/04/2007 09:41

Bleurgh. Cooking 6 fryups for hungry guests with ms. - right colour, wrong emotion.

I'm getting morning-noon-and-midnight nausea. About an hour's relief if I nibble cream crackers & sip ginger ale, but then it's all back. Water tastes awful - and there's nothing wrong with it, just me.

Yuckyuckyuck.

JARM · 07/04/2007 12:12

im still feeling yuk too - bought some seabands today to see if that will ease it.

Roll on being able to eat more than 1 slice of toast!

Ambi I'm so glad it was so nice telling your parents! I'm still holding off but finding it hard, I know I certainly won't manage the whole 12 weeks, so I'm sort of thinking maybe around the 8 week mark I will tell parents and 1 or 2 v close friends, but swear them all to secrey. All going well, I will be 9 weeks at the time when I have what would be a v big night out planned, so I think I might have to tell my friends then!

Thelady I am actually jealous of your nausea in a strange sort of way! Still in shock I think and feeling sick might make me feel more relaxed! (watch me regret saying that if sickness starts...)

Cazzybabs are you primary or secondary? I am KS1 and have NO idea where I'm going to find the energy when we go back to school!

lissielouwithbunnyears · 07/04/2007 16:12

think im bowing out now ladies, bleeding has started. good luck to you all, will pop in every now and then to see how you are all doing!

JARM · 07/04/2007 16:16

awwwwwwwww lissie hunni, im so sorry xxxxxxxxx

thelady · 07/04/2007 18:03

lissielouwithbunnyears: have a big zen hug! I'm so sorry....

Caz10: I know what you mean about nausea being reassuring. Still, right now I could do with it having waited until after Easter weekend and the busy-ness at the hotel!

Steady, slow munching of cream crackers & sipping of ginger ale seems to be keeping it under control at the moment, thank goodness.

Still paranoid, mind you - we've been trying for so long that I can't quite let myself believe that everything's going to work out.

mad4girls · 07/04/2007 21:01

Thinking of and praying for you lissielou
take care hun xxx
