Wow we've got loads now

Riss - I have the same problem re drinking. My plan (suggested on this thread i think) is to pour myself a big glass of wine and just wet my lips with it every so often. I even have dp in on the act to say he just filled me up if anyone questions my not drinking - clever eh?

mad4girls and ambi - congrats - remember you both from the ttc forum

lissie - thought you meant you'd thrown up the shepherds pie and the weed (as in dope) rather than and had had a wee - was a little shocked I can tell you!!

V. jealous re bigger boobs - mine are still a tiny 32A

barrelrider · 05/04/2007 08:51

I could have sworn I posted on here yesterday?!! Must be the pg madness setting in already!

Anyway hi girls, I have found out this week I'm due our second on 3rd December! I'm over the moon We have a 14 month old little boy who is a total honey.

How exciting being pregnant again! I feel so much more chilled this time.. not that I had it easy last time but at least I know what's coming

Looking forward to lots of chats with you all

Oh God I am officially pregnant now, just found the post I did yesterday !! I am dizzy at the best of times but I can?t believe I?m this bad already!

Skidaddle, pml at the weed thing!!! Hilarious 

Ambi, don?t worry it will all be fine  My husband was totally unimpressed when I found out I was pg with ds1 but he got more and more into it as time went on. He?s also being quite wary this time but a lot more positive than last time.

M4girls I was pg 2 christmases ago (due date was 18th Jan) and that was horrendous ? it?s a lot better to have a December baby than a Jan one I reckon ? at least you can have a drink and you?re not sitting like a beached whale watching everyone else having a nice time!!

Jarm and tombliboo, same here with the naps!! I feel much more tired this time round than I did with the first.

Anyone else keep expecting a period? Every time I wee I look for blood. Is that paranoid or what?

Anyone else with babes already feeling a bit like this new person is going to come along and change our little team, its almost like a jealous, possessive feeling. This is alongside feeling really excited and bursting to tell all. Guess its those weird hormones again.

thelady · 05/04/2007 11:03

skidaddle: don't be jealous about the boobs! Mine are keeping me awake at night, and I'm running out of clothes that will still fit....

JARM: About maternity clothes - I've just noticed that the Next Directory has some nice things.

DH was up and down all last night - getting stressed I think as this is our first and he's 43 (12 years between us age-wise and 10 years together....). Of course, every time he got up or came back to bed I was woken up. Grumpy grumpy this morning....

kandi · 05/04/2007 11:43

Hi everyone, just seen the new thread. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm knackered as well, by the time DD is in bed, I practically go myself! Nice to see more names being added.

mad4girls · 05/04/2007 11:51

thanx for congrats guys just so excited desperate to tell ppl but restraining myself well till a mate i not seen in ages comes round in a bit

it is scary most of us have got girls but just for the record id like another well dp really he got ds and no girls in his family for over 50 years not like theres any pressure or anything!!

dp was also up all last night didnt sleep till 6 am but toothache apparently, hope i dont get it i always do when im pregnant god it still feels good to say that dont think the novelty will wear off as it will most likely be my last baby boo hoo but going to try and any enjoy every sick minute of it just having brekkie now !

KTNoodle · 05/04/2007 11:52

Hi everyone,

Just joined Mumsnet and want to add myself to your list!

My dd is around 9th December - the reality hasn't quite hit home yet but the waves of nausea are certainly helping!

Look forward to lots of chats over the next few months.

cazzybabs · 05/04/2007 11:55

oh god am very at your mornign sickness....I want ms so I can stop worrying that I am about to have my 3rd mc....

There has been research that has shown having morning sickness decreases your chance of having a mc.

KTNoodle · 05/04/2007 11:58

I didn't know that so thank you! I've had some pains and a little bit of spotting so it has been at the back of my mind.

Funnily enough the colour of your envious face is about the colour of my real one right now! It's a bit hard keeping it secret from people when I have to keep running to the loo in the middle of conversations. Also in my department of around 25 people we've had a total of 11 babies in the past couple of years so they're quite tuned into the signs!!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Cazzy...

skidaddle · 05/04/2007 12:13

Hi Cazzy, I have no ms either and have never had a mc - try not to worry and we will all keep our fingers crossed for you

Hi KT, gembean and barrelrider

GemBean · 05/04/2007 12:29

cazzy, ditto what skidaddle said, no ms for me either and no mc's. Heres to lovely healthy pregnancies for all of us!

Ambi · 05/04/2007 13:16

Gotta get used to the new acrons over here, me thinking ms = multiple sclerosis, only just clicked morning sickness.. Jeez I'm tired!! Don't think I've got ms but feel queasy/indigestion. The symptoms are coming on thick and fast now, but maybe I'm imagining them as this is my first. It's too early at 4 weeks to be feeling all this isn't it?

KTNoodle · 05/04/2007 13:17

Could anyone tell me what to do about underwired bras? I've read in the massive pile of books that dh brought home yesterday that I should stop wearing under wired bras as it can be bad for breastfeeding. Is it too early (about 6 weeks) to change or should I go shopping?

I'm a bit worried that I might have to go to a tent company to get a bra that fits, I'm normally a 30GG....(how am I going to stand up in a few months?!)

Katie

JARM · 05/04/2007 13:48

Great to see so many of us now.

I am feeling seriously bad again today - had a coupel of good days, but sick sick sick again today - havent actually been sick, just feel so ill!

Just managed to talk dad and DH to take the girls to the park for half an hour - with orders for a milkshake on the way home for me!

OP posts:
barrelrider · 05/04/2007 15:20

Hey Cazzybabs now I'm worrying too I have had period type pains all day and I'm getting a bit stressed. Have been looking at sites that say that one of the signs of ectopic pregnancies is pain in one side, which is what I have Don't really want to go to the doctor as they think I'm neurotic as it is (ds1 is constantly there with something!). .. but am getting scared.

Why can't I just feel sick??

Perhaps if it goes on all night I'll go tomorrow.

KTNoodle from what I remember it's best to stop wearing underwired bras when you're pregnant as they can damage something or other. There, that was helpful wasn't it!!

thelady · 05/04/2007 15:27

KTNoodle: I think you only need to worry about underwire if your bra doesn't fit properly. If the wires are cutting into your boobs, then they can potentially cause problems with breasfeeding.

For me, non-underwired bras are so uncomfortable and cut into me in so many places that I'm far better off with a well-fitting wired one. In fact, I'll be ordering a new one over the next few days as my favourite bravissimo ones are getting a little tight already.

iris66 · 05/04/2007 15:27

barrelrider - cooeee!! congratulations!! (just a quick pop over from the Due Nov thread) I'm so pleased for you/us! (and everyone else obviously!) Hope everything goes well for you iris xx

KTNoodle · 05/04/2007 15:48

Thanks for the advice Lady - my only experience of non-wired has been really uncomfortable so that's been helpful.

Off for the weekend now - Happy Easter Everyone!

K

cazzybabs · 05/04/2007 16:32

barrelrider - no no no it is me that is a parinod wreck...not you!

I hate going to my GP so I always like to leave it 24 hours to see if it goes away, partly because I do not want to see the same GP who I saw staright after my mc. Although I can hardly phone up and I say "I want to see a doctor but not the young asian lady". They wil have me down a racist.

But (a) reading stuff on the internet is never good because you will be convinced you are about to die of every disease you read and (b) pain in pregnancy is normal its all the bits streching. Have some chocloate and chill out - I bet your pain will either have gone or moved! But if it is eptopic is is better to see sooner rather than later as it can affect your ferility later.

I want to sau I am sure you will fine...I am sure you will, but I always try and avoid saying thism because I am not a doctor.

I am not a great help, excpet you and join me in everytime you go the Loo you check that bit of paper for blood!

cazzybabs · 05/04/2007 16:34

Incidently I don't mwan phyically join me in the loo - that would be a bit weird and I don't even Like dh being in the bathroom when I am on the loo

JARM · 05/04/2007 17:13

Just had my first proper sickness! After feeling sick all day, something finally give (probably strawberry milkshake!)

Feeling loads better now, and have managed 2 slices of toast and butter..... not sure im up to spag bol DH has cooked for tea tonight though!
