Yes insywinsyspider this is my first. We broke the news to all of our friends last night ( know it's a bit early at 7 wks but just warned them of that fact ) because a lot of them were twigging on it was yet another alcohol free night for me. Thought I'd feel happy telling people but just felt a bit emotional and overwhelmed.

Lucy1977 · 15/04/2007 11:17

Welcome Beachbunni!

Fifi - I'm definately bloated and finding it hard to make my clothes fit comfortably round my waist, although from reading this thread it's down to bowels which makes sense.

Generally feeling lethargic and lazy and wondering if this will pass, definately didn't feel like this with DD but also wondering if it's because I still feed her 3 times a day (and sometimes during the night)?

I should get the date of my dating scan by Thursday, can't wait! Just hope all is well.

Lucy

Hello all! Well this is a suprise. I've not been on MN for 2 weeks, holiday then internet was down but my oh my what a 2 weeks its been....!!!! To fill you in a bit on myself, I was an 'original' mner from back in 2000, was a young single mum with baby dd (now7) and stopped mning when my life fell apart in 2002 (its all on another thread, v boring really) Weirdly I've been posting again as I'm happy and settled with dp and life's looking good.

We were trying for a baby all of last yr with no luck, but dp's dad died suddenly this Jan so we changed plans, decided to get married and move house before trying again.......AND......well that worked (NOT!!)

I found out after getting back from Italy last week, cursing all the cocktails and spritz's I'd drunk in the 5 days away. We're soooooooo happy but still a bit dazed. Got docs appt next week to confirm but I'm sure I'm 6 weeks (I know its early days so bit scared but excited as I'm sure you all are)

Can't wait to get to know you all as the months go by... Good luck to everyone here and so sorry to those who's pg's haven't worked out (I had an early mc last yr too)

I'm so happy I've now gone off alcohol, but craving meat!!Anyone else?? I bought spa-tone iron as I guessed I must be lacking. So far no sickness but we'll see......

and so I anxiously add myself to the list....

List now in order by due dates.

God yeserday spent the day asleep in bed. Felt so sick all day. I was hungry but everything I thought of to eat made me feel even sicker.

Today I am back at work, It is going to kill me, I feel all shakey - I think not having eaten anything yesertday. I ate some Marmite on toast so hopefully I will start to feel better!

Ambi · 16/04/2007 10:24

Got me booking in appt next week, bit early at 6 weeks but kinda looking forward to it. Felt great this weekend, as if I'm not pg (slightly worried) But I'm determined to not to dwell on it - if something goes/has gone all wrong, I cannot stop it. Besides, I'd rather feel good than shite!!!

So look forward to impending pregnancy, plan where baby furniture is going and already picked names, decided don't want to know the sex though.

fifisworld · 16/04/2007 10:27

Glad to know someone else feels like that Ambi
I dont feel any different either, but i feel good so surely thats a good sign isnt it??
We are going to find out the sex of this one.
We still have lots of things from ds,so if we are having a girl we are going to get rid of this to make way for new things for a girl.

Lizzer · 16/04/2007 10:49

Back to work today for me too 2 weeks off amidst all this excitement just ain't enough...15 mins and counting til I leave the house and MS kicked in last night I thought I would get away without it this time, grrrrr.......

IKNWYM about early appt Ambi, mine's on thurs at 7 weeks,. but hey ho what's the point in waiting...

FurryFox · 16/04/2007 10:54

Morning girls. Welcome to the new girls on the thread and congratulations

I also don't appear to have any symptoms. Have felt sick a couple of times but not for long. Cramps seem to have gone as well. Still tired though but then that's nothing new.

I think we will find out if it's a boy or girl. We did with DD just purly because we're too impatient to wait 9 months

Just a quick question. If anyone has been to the docs yet, or maybe you remember if this isn't you're first, when the gp worked out your due date did they ask you how long your cycle was? Hope that makes sense

insywinsyspider · 16/04/2007 11:07

hi furry - gp wasn't interested in cycle length (or lack of) last time, dated me from 'spotting' i had about 6 weeks before and from dating scan it turned out that it was completely consistant with spotting being LMP - this time round even though i know exactly when ov'd i know edd will be estimated from LMP as thats how he prefers to do it, i expect him to date me a week early (14th rather than 22nd)

if you're on fertilty friend you can work out edd from ov'd date or LMP to give you some idea

FurryFox · 16/04/2007 11:13

insy - So glad you came over Have you done any more tests? I did another one on Saturday Just to make sure How are you feeling anyway?

I was trying to think when I went to the gp's with dd and I don't remember them asking me about my cycle length but I used to have a 28 day cycle so figured it was pretty accurate. Since having dd 20 months ago my cycles heve been 37 days, some websites tell me edd will be 17th Decemeber and others the 8th - so really not sure

insywinsyspider · 16/04/2007 11:24

i'm working on ov date (which is scarily close to xmas!) i think scan with confirm it but ds was week early so who knows!

how are you doing? i'm absolutely shattered (having naps at same time as ds at mo so glad he's a sleepy boy who still loves two naps a day - going back to work in two weeks will be fun!)

didn't you have bad ms last time? do you think you'll get it again? when does it usually start to kick in?

tested again this morning darker line again going to gp tomorrow

FurryFox · 16/04/2007 11:38

I'm feeling ok thanks. I was having naps last week too as my Mum had the week off work and spent most of her time at ours so looked after dd. Didn't nap at the weekend though and so far today have felt ok. Had really bad ms last time so am hoping it's not as bad this time, it kicked in at 6 weeks for me with dd, I'm now 5 weeks. Am nervous about being so ill in case have to go to hospital again but at least its some kind of reassurance and when I was admitted at 7 weeks with dd they gave me a scan to see if it was multiples, it was nice to see things were ok

Are you going back to work full time? Will you still be able to get on MN?!

Other than the tiredness do you feel anything else? I just don't feel pg at the moment which makes me worry, but last week when I was having mild cramps that made me worry too so don't think I can win

Did DS enjoy his sand pit?

insywinsyspider · 16/04/2007 11:48

ds loved sandpit

am back 4 days a week but have web access so will be here still!

still feel tired and my boobs are starting to ache and have got bit bigger now but keep thinking last time i didn't know i was pg this early so prob just more aware of little things this time!

FurryFox · 16/04/2007 11:52

Ah yes, the boobs, mine were killing me yesterday. Had to buy a bigger bra on Saturday not that DH was complaining

When did you find out with DS then?

skidaddle · 16/04/2007 11:56

Morning everyone and welcome to all newbies

Furry I did the same - did another pg test at the w/e I'm so glad someone else is as neurotic as me

I have also been worrying about lack of ms but then a friend reminded me that it usually only kicks in week 7 or so, it was about week 8 last time round I think so I'm trying not to worry and enjoy it while it lasts. Am absolutely knackered and very emotional so I do feel pg.

We are also wondering whether to find out the sex - think we will so we can tell dd if she will be having a little brother or sister. i have already started training her by asking her what's in mummy's tummy and she say baba, bless

Furry - GP didn't ask me length of cycle, just calculated edd from last AF

insywinsyspider · 16/04/2007 12:01

i'm def neutrotic - got a load of cheap tests from ebay when ttc and know i'll be testing till they've all gone

taliac · 16/04/2007 12:04

Hello everyone. I'm joining this thread a little randomly as although December seems a likely due date I actually don't have the foggiest.. My dd is 9 months and I only recently stopped bfing so I don't have an LMP to work from. Guess I'll go see the doc at some point and get it all clarified. Meanwhile - hi!

FurryFox · 16/04/2007 12:04

skidaddle - How old is dd? Bless her for saying bubba. I've been getting dd to kiss my belly and have been telling her theres a baby in there

So I think I'm being ever so slightly stupid now because I'm confused. My lmp date is 3rd March so would it not make any difference as to how long my cycle length is? ie, if it was 28 days would it work out my edd as the same if it was 37 days?

Not even sure that that makes sense

FurryFox · 16/04/2007 12:07

Hi taliac and welcome and congratulations

insy - I've still got a load of ebay tests too, no doubt I'll be testing at 8 months just to make sure

skidaddle · 16/04/2007 12:16

Welcome and congrats taliac

Furry - i think it would definitely make a difference how long your cycle was but they don't really care at that stage and give you a realistic edd at your 12 week scan. My lmp was 2nd March and I have a 33ish day cycle so that means my dd will be a few days after when they say (if calculated from lmp) - so yours will be another few days after that. Have you checked on fertility friend? They take both lmp and cycle length into account I think.

dd is 18 months and her favourite word is baba so I don't think she's quite got the concept of there being one inside me! Have also been getting her to kiss my tummy!! How old is yours?

Insy - I think that's exactly it - most of us probably didn't even know we were pg at this point last time so lack of symptoms should be nothing to worry about

FurryFox · 16/04/2007 12:27

Guess I will just have to wait and see what the scan says. It was only about two days out with dd but then I ended up being 15 days late with her anyway so you never do really know

DD is 20 months, has just started talking, repeats everything we say, it's so lovely

I just don't remember my pg last time and all the different symptoms etc. I think when you know you are pg though you pick up on every tiny little thing. My Mum and DH remember more than I do, coomplaints, niggles, worries etc.

Ambi · 16/04/2007 12:47

Furry, I thought that it made a difference, because the dating bases on 28 day cycles, type in Pregnancy calculator in google, should work it out for you with varying cycle lengths, I'm the same, I have 40-35 day cycles.

fleacircus · 16/04/2007 12:50

Hello - I'm a bit scared coming in here, can't quite believe I'm really pregnant. Only four weeks, and still expecting AF to appear every time I use the loo. But so far so good... Due Dec 25th according to my own haphazard calculations.
