We're pretty early but thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is here already.

I'm 4+1, apparently due around 2 May. Would be great to have some company :). Already obsessing over every little thing. The next 8 weeks are going to drag!

Got it; thanks.
It's a bit rubbish that you have to go through a browser rather than the app.

HerSymphonyAndSong · 09/09/2017 13:51

It's much easier to send a PM in the mobile site by clicking the three dots and then the "PM" button on the left

Glad you're feeling more relaxed @katiegd!

6+1 here today, no nausea... I get heartburn if I'm really hungry but that's about it. How funny about the gherkins! Grin

HerSymphonyAndSong · 09/09/2017 13:52

That is sad news SexLube, your poor sister :(

HerSymphonyAndSong · 09/09/2017 13:53

I have to admit I have never used the app but I have been on MN for nearly 10 years so have always just used the site

MegsMog · 09/09/2017 15:26

Hi all, tentatively joining! Am 5+6, this would be our second child (we have a 28mo DD).

I've had four early MC since April so I'm not holding out a huge amount of hope, but this is the furthest I've gotten, and so far my lines haven't faded and I hit a 3+ on a digi at the beginning of the week, so there's a chance...

Currently on holiday so can't get a six week scan, but I'll try to get one ASAP when we get back (I'll be seven weeks) if I haven't noticeably lost the pregnancy.

Hummingbird15 · 09/09/2017 15:36

Fingers crossed for you megsmog

JuniUmiZoomi · 09/09/2017 16:01

Fingers crossed seize and sorry for your sister sexlube.
@Fillybee were you having a scan today? Hope all is ok.

MotherofBoy · 09/09/2017 17:17

Welcome mogs and so sorry for your previous mc. Sounds positive tho if lines getting stronger! I believe mc risk decreases a lot from 6 weeks and then on. Have fingers and toes crossed for you

smu06set · 09/09/2017 17:24

Argh today I just want to tell people I'm pregnant! So far haven't told anyone other than DH and he's at work! Planning on telling MIL on Thursday, at least then I will have someone else to talk to about it.

Fillybee · 09/09/2017 18:36

@JuniUmiZoomi hi yes had our scan this afternoon and so far so good, thanks! Saw a teeny tiny blob and a little flicker for the heartbeat. Did take them a while to find it, sac looked empty from the tummy scan so I was convinced it was another anembryonic pregnancy but then they had a go with the dildo cam and they found it!! They said measuring 5-6 weeks, where going by my ovulation sticks I think it should be 6 weeks and 2 or 3 days, but they did say it's not that accurate at this stage... Roll on next scan which is booked for when I should be 8 weeks + 5 days so hopefully after that one I'll be able to relax a little more xx

Fillybee · 09/09/2017 18:52

Sorry to hear you've had 4 mcs MegsMog. Fingers crossed this one is a sticky little bean for you xxx

Fillybee · 09/09/2017 18:54

Sorry to hear about your sister Sexlube, such a shame.... hopefully she'll get pregnant again quickly then you guys will still have little ones close together xx

willisurvive2under2 · 09/09/2017 19:13

Today I feel quite pregnant! I've had lots of twinges, I feel nauseous and I have pregnancy rage. DH can't do anything right!

JuniUmiZoomi · 09/09/2017 20:09

Ah, wonderful fillybee. I had dildocam too, such fun! Hmm but at least we know all is ok so far.

I feel like I've told loads of people, which is not like me at all, but it feels weird to see friends and not tell them.

seizethecuttlefish · 09/09/2017 21:30

Dildocam - love it!

MooChops89 · 09/09/2017 22:52

willisurvive thats how I've felt the last couple of days - raging about everything 😂 poor DH was asleep on the sofa earlier and I was fuming as I was bored!
Had a bit of a niggly kidney pain type feeling today - no other uti symptoms but it's impossible to get comfy. And I'm so bloated after eating anything! If this is 5+2 I can't wait for the next 35 weeks 😂

Jaronior · 10/09/2017 08:23

@MegsMog I've had 3 mc since April- all early so know how you feel. Have resisted the urge to poas lots this time as I drive myself mad over analysing. I'm so nervous of every little twinge- but this time feels different so fingers crossed xx

Lauraandbump2 · 10/09/2017 08:39

Anyone else having trouble booking in with midwives? I have moved area since having my first baby and everything is done differently here. Been to the doctors to register the pregnancy but was only in there a minute, quickly took my dates and took my blood pressure. He gave me a pack with information and a number to call the midwives and said they book the scan.

I am 7+4 days and they are meant to be seeing me at 8 weeks? Phoned numerous times Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, left two voicemails and tried again over the weekend but to no avail. Making me a little anxious that this is setting the tone for pregnancy care here Hmm

Not sure what to do if I can't get hold of them the start of this new week? Didn't know whether to ring the nearest hospitals maternity ward? I rang the doctors and they confirmed it was the correct contact number for them but offered no help.

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 10/09/2017 09:05

Me too laura and I'm in the same area! Last time, I booked directly with the midwife over the phone. They changed the process and I had to go to my GP surgery, fill out a form and then wait for the midwife to call me to arrange the first appointment. Went in on Tuesday and not heard back yet. I am going to wait until it's been a week and then ask the GP surgery how long I normally takes. I will be 6 weeks by then, so hoping it will be sorted quickly

katiegd · 10/09/2017 09:14

@Poppy012 yeah, this is #1! You?

I'm 6+6 today so currently due 30th April. Pushed it forward a couple of days after scan as both CB digi and scan put me a bit ahead of where I'd estimated. It does make sense as the due date calculators are based on 28 day cycles whereas mine are shorter - usually 26 days. This was the one month I didn't track ovulation as we were away.

@Lauraandbump2 I'm also a bit worried I'll be behind with midwife appointment which might then also impact on timing of 12 week scan and tests. Booking appointment is supposed to be when you're 8-10 weeks. I called GP practice and they said midwife has no appointments until 3rd October (I'll be just over 10 weeks by then!). She couldn't even book me in as midwife is on leave and hadn't put in her October appointments yet to their booking system. I have to call back on Tues. I guess they have to try to squeeze us in at the right times don't they as the scan and tests have to be done before 13+6 don't they?

@SexLubeAndAFishSlice Sorry to hear about your sister :(.

@MammaBear18 Got my cornichons mmm. DP and his sister were laughing at how disgusting they look floating around in their jar. I'm loving them.

@Fillybee @JuniUmiZoomi Congrats on the scans :). Lol to the dildocam. I had a pelvic ultrasound as part of fertility investigations just before finding out I was pregnant (coincidence!), and really hated the dildocam then as the sonographer didn't tell me anything and I couldn't see the screen, so was just lying there studying the ceiling trying not to think about how weird it was. Funnily enough I didn't mind it as much when I had my early scan and saw my little flickering heartbeat.

Ladies, I really wouldn't worry about midwife's booking in appointment. Mine was at 12 weeks and it's just loads of forms. I don't see any hard on doing that later than 10 weeks?

In my case I got the appointment letter for bloods and scan at the same as the booking-in registration so I assume you don't need to have had the booking in to be booked in for the scan.

Personally I haven't done anything yet Blush

Dorotha · 10/09/2017 09:42

Hard on?! Confused Harm in!!!! 😆
