We're pretty early but thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is here already.

I'm 4+1, apparently due around 2 May. Would be great to have some company :). Already obsessing over every little thing. The next 8 weeks are going to drag!

Congrats juni must be so exciting to see the scan!

It's different from last time - I rang up and booked an appointment over the phone. That's why I didn't call straightaway.

Doublechocolatetiffin · 08/09/2017 13:28

Fab news Juni Grin

seizethecuttlefish · 08/09/2017 13:35

Hi all. I'm due 9th May, according to the calculator online. Baby no2. I have a 4 year old son. I'm still slightly in shock. I haven't even spoken to the dr (BFP Weds) as we fly out on holiday on Tues! Nothing like timing eh? At 42, I felt I was pushing my luck trying to have another but here I am Smile

AlexsMum89 · 08/09/2017 14:56

How exciting @Juni !
I had a series of really intense vivid dreams last night where people were trying to kill me etc. I woke up drenched in sweat and I feel rubbish today :(

MammaBear18 · 08/09/2017 15:05

How exciting Juni!

Just got my booking appointment sorted for next Wednesday and I should receive my scan date in the letter in the next 14 days! So glad the ball is rolling Smile

Doublechocolatetiffin · 08/09/2017 15:16

Welcome sieze Smile I'm also going on holiday on Tuesday!! I can't wait!!

I saw a lovely GP this morning who has referred me for an early scan. Hopefully it won't be long until I can see if this might be a healthy pregnancy. I just hope they get in contact before I go away.

LikeTheShoes · 08/09/2017 16:14

I'm due on the 9th too!
I'm equal parts excited and terrified. Current panic: help, we only have a tiny 1 bed flat!!

Welcome and don't worry - babies are happiest sharing bedroom with mum and dad.

@JuniUmiZoomi amazing news!

CaptainsCat · 08/09/2017 16:34

I'm due on 11th May, so signing up here! I'm 5+1 today and my morning sickness seems to be starting Confused with my DD I was sick every day from 6 weeks to 41+1 when she was born!

piglet81 · 08/09/2017 16:46

Hello all, can I join you? Tentatively due around mid-May. Already have a 2yo boy whose birthday is 10 May! Feeling a little twitchy as lots of people I know have sadly had miscarriages recently, but am trying to be positive Smile

Californiadreaming15 · 08/09/2017 16:51

So happy to see the group growing. I've had a bit of pain in my lower left pelvic area and a little bit of a sign of a UTI so went to my GP this morning. I was referred up to the EPU for bloods and a scan (pretty impressed with the way I was dealt with). Scan went well and although it was tiny there was also the flicker of a heart beat. It was so good to get the extra reassurance.

piglet81 · 08/09/2017 16:57

That's lovely - glad you were seen quickly and had good news!

Hiraeth17 · 08/09/2017 17:54

Whatmuddleduck don't worry about CB digi - the threshold for it to say "3+ weeks" is really high (2700+ hcg). So loads of ladies won't reach that level bang on the 3rd Week!

I found some info from CB on the test which shows the thresholds - attached. Hope that makes you feel better.

I have one ready to take next weds - fingers crossed it says 2-3!

That's excellent California you must be pleased

Whatamuddleduck · 08/09/2017 18:56

Thanks- that is somewhat reassuring. I have 7 wk scan on tues and have tested a couple of times (not on cb digi though- evil things!) since and had good strong lines. I should have learnt not to use cb digis by now!

smu06set · 08/09/2017 19:15

hiraeth thank you for posting that - I took a digital this morning (4+1 weeks since lmp) and I was worried when it only said 1-2!

Hiraeth17 · 08/09/2017 19:27

No worries.

I also found this page discussing hcg levels (mine were low last time and it ended in miscarriage, but I found it useful to understand this and accept what was happening)

www.babymed.com/normal-hcg-blood-level-by-week-during-pregnancy

Obvs we don't know hcg levels from POAS... but it helps explain that some levels only double every 72 hours - and that's fine. And even a rise of just 60% can also be a "viable pregnancy".

I found the science comforting!

Hiraeth17 · 08/09/2017 19:33

...so if hcg only doubles every 72 hours (which is still fine and healthy) at 3 weeks you could be around 800 and would only show 2-3weeks on CB digi. It could take closer to 4 or 4.5 weeks (actually 6-6.5 weeks in pregnancy dating) to get that reading.

Hope that makes sense! It could take to 6 weeks preggers to get a "3+ weeks" CB digi reading

Lotsalotsagiggles · 08/09/2017 19:54

Hey hey

I am a dirt timer and due 8th May

Still getting my head around it all! Main symptoms sore boobs and feel sick off and on. Away at the mo in Singapore and struggling with the heat too!

Not seen doctor etc yet, what's the process?

Exciting times! Anyone else in London/Kent areas?

Ooh definitely, Sexlube that was the only thing stopping me joining. I'll PM you now Smile

dillydollydarling · 08/09/2017 22:24

Hi ladies, can I tentatively join you? Just found out I'm pregnant with baby #2. Haven't had a period since having my daughter (who is now 2) so midwife has made a guess that I'm about 5 weeks pregnant putting my due date at the beginning of May. I did ask if they could do a dating scan but she said they wouldn't so I have to wait until my "12 week" scan. Would like to get a private scan to confirm dates but can't afford it at the moment!!

Brianpercival · 08/09/2017 23:50

Congratulations to all the new bfp.

I believe I'm about 5 or 6 weeks now, still getting horrible cramp like pain really low down (assuming uterus). It's everyday, on and off and sometimes feels like I can't remember it not being there as if it's constant. It's mostly a dull period type pain but sometimes quite sharp.
I'm starting to panic that it might mean it's ectopic, is anyone else experiencing anything similar?
First time worrier!!

Joanna0x · 09/09/2017 00:44

Hey! Due may 4th with my 2nd baby, @brianpercival I am having exactly the same pain but I got back and leg ache too!
Can I join the Facebook group too please, email address is [email protected]
