We're pretty early but thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is here already.

I'm 4+1, apparently due around 2 May. Would be great to have some company :). Already obsessing over every little thing. The next 8 weeks are going to drag!

JuniUniZumi probably not at night! This was my first instance of night-time wee. I'll try to drink more tonight and see what happens, just really hope this was bladder and not uterus.

MooChops89 · 07/09/2017 20:12

I'm feeling particularly crampy today, they're quite sharp Confused but interesting what Juni said about not drinking enough, I probably haven't today. I can't take the worry about every little thing, it's driving me insane haha

HoldTightPretendItsAPlan · 07/09/2017 20:19

I think I will be due the same day as you @sophherts.

I've still got some cramping & I've had a couple of waves of nausea today. I kind of hope this isn't what I've got to look forward to.

smu06set · 07/09/2017 20:36

Due the same day sophherts and holdtight !!
Weird cramps today is my only symptom, no nausea or anything...yet!

MammaBear18 · 07/09/2017 20:56

Oh @MooChops hope your cramps go away! Every other day I'm imagining all sort of things going wrong to the point where I nearly convince myself it's bound to happen. I'm quite pathetic really and should relax but I hope the further along I get, the more chilled I'll become Grin

HerSymphonyAndSong · 07/09/2017 21:14

I know what you mean Mammabear. These last couple of days have gone so slowly and I'm so anxious, I just can't imagine making it to 8/12/40 weeks etc, it all seems a lifetime away and so much could go wrong

Flumplet · 07/09/2017 22:17

I was thinking of slimming world but I have binge eating disorder so I'd rather not get to involved in a "diet" of any kind as I have a tendency toward obsession over food and so I've just been careful but not scrutinising and agonising over a packet of hula hoops. if I start obsessing then the binge/starve cycle starts and I don't want to be dealing with that.

SquashyMummy · 08/09/2017 05:27

Mornings ladies,

An early morning tester here, can I join you? Moving over from the lucky ttc#2 thread. Got an initial BFP yesterday with an IC, and reassured myself with a FRER this morning. It's early days but hoping it's a sticky bean.
Here are my stats

Age 33
DC #2 (DS is 2)
Due May 20th

sophherts · 08/09/2017 06:15

@holdtight @smu06set yay for May 18th bubbas!

I've woken up at 05:30 this morning despite it being my only lie in this week, typical. Feeling pretty nauseous for the first time so I'm trying to get some plain porridge and water down me.

At what point do we call the doctor to start that whole process?

sophherts · 08/09/2017 06:15

Congrats @squashymummy!

HerSymphonyAndSong · 08/09/2017 06:21

Welcome squashymummy!

HerSymphonyAndSong · 08/09/2017 06:22

Sophherts my gp's website says to self-refer to the MW at 5-6 weeks so I am waiting until next week (only 4+3 today)

sophherts · 08/09/2017 06:47

@hersymphonyandsong Ah good call to check the GP website! Mine says at 6 weeks you can self-refer so I'll wait a couple more weeks and then go for it.

MotherofBoy · 08/09/2017 06:48

Oh flumplet that sounds challenging :( hope you can find the right balance. Slimming world is better than other 'diets' as there are certain foods you can eat as much of you like without weighing or measuring. You have to weigh and measure milk, cheese, bread then anything else you want, like hula hoops, you can have but just within the 'syn' allowance. Sounds complicated but I have found it much more flexible than other programme and it doesn't really feel like a diet as you can eat a bit of what you want like chocolate, crisps, cake etc. Can see how May be difficult though if you struggle with binge/starve eating. Am sorry to hear that, I have a few family members who also struggle with that, they have mainly focused on the psychological aspect of not feeling guilty if you do/don't eat something but definitely a difficult thing to overcome. Sending love!

M5618181 · 08/09/2017 07:22

Hi everyone,
I'm so glad I found this group! I am due 1 May with my first :-) I was a bit worried that I don't have any symptoms (other than 5 +ve tests) but it seems that's kind of normal!
X

Freshlysteamedfanjo · 08/09/2017 09:13

I woke up at 4am, couldn't get back to sleep and feel vaguely nauseous.
Didn't have much in the way of morning sickness last time, so fingers crossed for the same again.

Doublechocolatetiffin · 08/09/2017 09:14

Hi and welcome everyone who has joined us Smile

I've just booked an appointment to see my GP today. Hopefully she will refer me for an early scan at the EPU following my missed miscarriage earlier this year. I've put myself down on the midwives book, but not heard from them yet. I guess they'll wait until I'm a bit further along before contacting me. They are a bit slow and useless in my area unfortunately.

HerSymphonyAndSong · 08/09/2017 09:38

The maternity services website for my area says that they organise a booking in appt to take place within 10 working days of receipt of the self-referral, which I suppose is why they don't want you referring before 5/6 weeks

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 08/09/2017 09:46

Hello squashymummy - congrats! Remember you from the ttc'ing #2 threads.

Am a bit stressed about my booking in appointment - I handed my form into the GP on Tuesday and I still haven't heard back about my appointment. Do you think I should call to chase?

Freshlysteamedfanjo · 08/09/2017 09:47

Having a productive morning at work and caught up on this thread, just requested to join the FB group.
Phoned the GP and miraculously got an appointment for Tuesday morning, that's unheard of as there's usually a 2 week wait.
Told my mum this morning, as we are moving in with my parents this weekend (sold our house but new house not ready til December) and they would wonder why I wasn't drinking etc. She told my dad, as he gets embarrassed about these things.
Telling the ILs later, as it would never do to tell one and not the other lol.
Not telling many others yet, as first time around we couldn't keep the secret for various reasons and it was easier just to say the real reason. But it made the pregnancy seem really long with being constantly badgered with questions.

Bizarrely my toddler said to me last week that "baby in mummy's tummy" and kissed it!

MammaBear18 · 08/09/2017 10:46

Hello squashymummy!

I'm finally 6 weeks today so self referring - good to hear I should hear back withing 10 days.

Had the same thing with the bladder last night, woke up with that awful burning pain, went for a wee, eventually the pain went away some time after that. I'm completely fine during the day though!

MotherofBoy · 08/09/2017 11:01

So pleased to see you here squashy! Another ttc#2 grad!

JuniUmiZoomi · 08/09/2017 13:04

Afternoon, welcome and congrats to new BFPs.
Had my scan this morning and there is a 6w6d little emby in there with a lovely fluttery heartbeat. Hurrah! I didn't get a picture but all is ok so far. Phew!
I also handed in my form re midwives, they say they give 10 working days to get back to you so maybe call next week tiramisu?

HerSymphonyAndSong · 08/09/2017 13:11

Oh how lovely Juni!

MotherofBoy · 08/09/2017 13:25

Ah good news juni! :D
