We're pretty early but thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is here already.

I'm 4+1, apparently due around 2 May. Would be great to have some company :). Already obsessing over every little thing. The next 8 weeks are going to drag!

@Hairgician glad you got the same advice from the nurse to reassure you. Take care of yourself this weekend and rest up!

My pregnancy vitamins have just arrived - I'm so excited for this new step! I've had enough of the 'conception' ones for now 😁

MotherofBoy · 02/09/2017 13:25

Hello, tentatively popping on! Got my bfp today, DC2 due 17 May 2018. Hope this one sticks... DS is 2.

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 02/09/2017 13:31

Congrats mother - I think I remember you from the ttcing #2 threads! Glad you got your bfp Smile

MotherofBoy · 02/09/2017 14:33

Yes hi tiramisu! Finallly got there 7 cycles later! How are you doing - how many weeks now?

Whatamuddleduck · 02/09/2017 16:45

Hi all, I've been lurking with the intention of joining if all is well at 7 week scan(IVF) 5w 4d today. Made the mistake of using a second clear blue digi this morning, still said 2-3 weeks instead of 3+.now ultra paranoid that a mc is on its way (even though a super drug cheapie had a line before I'd finished peeing having rushed out to get more tests). In need of reassurance that cb digi's are evil and not to be trusted! I'm hoping to find sanity amongst you or failing that others to join me on paranoid knicker watch!

RedPanda25 · 02/09/2017 17:07

Oh @Whatamuddleduck please don't worry about the digi! I think they quite often get it wrong and I read a post the other day which quite rightly said that it only needs to be a day or two out for it to say a different week to what you expect. It's so hard not to panic though I know - I'm forever on knicker watch worried about another miscarriage. Come and talk to us when you're stressed and worrying!

RedPanda25 · 02/09/2017 17:08

Congrats @MotherofBoy!! Great news!

How are you holding up @Hairgician?

Whatamuddleduck · 02/09/2017 17:35

Aw thanks Panda. I knew I'd find sense here.
Its so worrying isn't it! Yet worrying makes not one bit of difference!

Kublakhan · 02/09/2017 17:44

Whatamuddleduck I had exactly the same experience. I had my HCG measured (also IVF) and did the calculations so thought if it had kept doubling from where it was it should have shown 3+ weeks. Was quite disheartening. Trying to forget about it and counting down to 6+6 scan!

Fillybee · 02/09/2017 17:51

@catndog I think it's a good thing you're having thoughts like that tbh, I had no idea how much my life would change/how difficult it can be with a newborn when you don't know what you're doing- I distinctly remember the first day when hubby went back to work after paternity, standing in the middle of the living room trying to calm a screaming baby and thinking 'oh god, what the hell have I done?!' At least you realise it's going to be hard so it won't be such a shock to you! This time I'll be more prepared and I'll know that there's an end in sight to the difficult first few months so it will hopefully be easier!!

Sorry to hear about all you guys having worrying discharge/bleeds. So hard not to panic but it does seem quite common for them to happen but all still be well xx

Hairgician · 02/09/2017 18:14

@RedPanda25 been taking it easy and no more since. Fingers crossed! I did go and buy yet another cb digi (spent a fucking fortune on tests this last weekBlush) and it came up 3+ after being 2-3 on Monday. Taking that as a good thing??

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 02/09/2017 18:23

Hi mother - I think it took 4 cycles in the end. I'm still really early on (4+4 today, I think?) so still not quite convinced it's real. Used my final test this morning and it looked pretty conclusive though Grin

MotherofBoy · 02/09/2017 18:43

redpanda where do I recognise you from? :)

AlexsMum89 · 02/09/2017 20:29

Am I allowed to be unreasonable yet? It's so early on but today I've taken a nap, lost my rag, and now I feel really really sick. We're having a big thing at our house tomorrow for DS birthday and I'm bailing on all the prep work Sad

RedPanda25 · 02/09/2017 20:57

I'd definitely take that as a good sign @Hairgician! Did you decide to go and see your GP about it? So pleased it's stopped now.

@MotherofBoy I definitely recognise you too! But not sure where from in my ultra tired state!

@AlexsMum89, completely understandable! I just feel exhausted already and have very little patience - hope this trimester flies by!

Catndogmummy · 02/09/2017 21:28

Thanks everyone, feeling reassured that my doubts are normal!

Hoping everyone else is ok xx

Hairgician · 02/09/2017 21:32

@RedPanda25 no I rang out of hours number and a nurse rang me back. I may ring back on Monday again, stop me driving myself bonkers with worry.

midgetjen · 02/09/2017 22:19

Really tentative join here...am pretty much certain I have had the faintest positive line ever! Going to re-test in the morning with hopes of a clearer result!

MammaBear18 · 02/09/2017 23:47

Welcome everyone! Lovely to see new faces and more May babies 😊

I'm going to drive myself crazy with my knicker-watch! Earlier today I noticed a slight smear of blood on the tissue and panicked for about 10mins before realising that I shaved a bit yesterday and must've snagged some skin...! I felt so silly 😁

Lindyj0 · 02/09/2017 23:49

Fingers crossed for you @midgetjen, they say morning poas are more likely to contain more of the hormone. Still, a positive is a positive, however faint 😀

TheFimbleFowl · 03/09/2017 04:58

Hi everyone can I join? About five weeks, so due early may.

Struggling a bit at the moment as it's 6 years since my last pregnancy, and finding it much harder than last time. Aching all over and I can't sleep - been up since 2!

katiegd · 03/09/2017 05:10

Welcome and good luck midgetjen with your retesting. My first one was really faint too, but a line is a line :).

Welcome and congratulations TheFimbleFowl! I am also having trouble sleeping. Was woken by a bad dream about an hour and a half ago and haven't been able to get back to sleep. Lying awake as I can't get comfortable (and I'm hungry).

TheFimbleFowl · 03/09/2017 05:32

Oh dear, sorry to hear that. It's nice to have somewhere I can have a moan, trying not to complain too much to DP as I know it just frustrates him because he can't help.

I'm on the sofa downstairs, and DC will be up in half an hour! This is not good!

Back at work on Monday, I'm hoping it will distract me...

MotherofBoy · 03/09/2017 08:21

catndog i think it's normal to feel like that! It is life changing. But you have 8 months to prepare and get used to the idea so by the time you are full term you want the baby here more than ever! It is tough, but as long as you have a good support network (NCT group we're my lifeline!) then it is all a bit of a rollercoaster that you are in together. And you have this group! Like fillybee I'm hoping it will be easier 2nd time round as you know the tough first few months will end! I think that's the hardest part with your first tbh not being able to see out the other side!

MotherofBoy · 03/09/2017 08:22

Ps my boobs have really started to hurt this morning... oh the nipple pain! Can't say I have missed that. Only 3+3 guessing hormones are strong. Temp dipped slightly last couple days now I wish I didn't take it this morning as am worrying..
