[[[hugs]] Lesley - Totally agree with Katy's wise words. It sounds like you have already aid your goodbyes and your friend knows how you feel. You're v.heavily PG and it is a long journey - and you can't guarantee you will get there in time. Hoep you can have a good chat with DH. [hugs]

Going to finish sorting out photos....

Eddas · 01/04/2007 19:17

Lesley, poor you. Horrible dilema. I'd say the same as Katy, horrible position to be in.

thePA · 01/04/2007 19:19

have you had it yet Eddas?

Eddas · 01/04/2007 19:19

Katy44 · 01/04/2007 19:22

Eddas - so have you?

Katy44 · 01/04/2007 19:22

Did wonder who hattie was!

thePA · 01/04/2007 19:26

i haven't confused you for ages Katy, it had to be done

Katy44 · 01/04/2007 19:32

Well either you haven't or I just haven't admitted it!
BTW I keep meaning to thank you for the updates - every time I check my email there's a new one, and it was really useful last week at work when I can't get onto MN but can check hotmail. You're really good to us lot!

thePA · 01/04/2007 19:55

bubblez · 01/04/2007 20:00

Hello all,

WOW what a week it has been!!!

Congratulations to Bramshott, WCL, Ooogs, 1B3, Mammyjo on your special deliveries!! Sorry if I have missed anyone... pls let me know if I have.

My goodness just have to say at bramshott delivering in a car.... a breech, c/section and car delivery all in one day!

Pesha thankyou so much for posting my news...xxx and thank you to all for your congratulations.

OK so before you read about my experience please remember that what happend to me is not common so dont worry unecisarily...

labour story - was checked at 36wks and was told 'head' was 3/5ths presenting so was given the go'ahead for a HB. Went into labour at 38wks during labour was given an internal check due to unexplainable long labour (1st baby came in 3and a half hours) MW thought she was feeling a head and broke my waters. Only when I started pushing and a bum came out did they realise baby was breech and back to back . 1st MW panicked, jumped on my bed and broke it!! She was in such a state of shock 2nd MW had to take over. Ambulance was called but baby was delivered before they arrived. Labour lasted 12hours from first twinge.
All together a very scary and horrifying experience, there was one point that i was convinced i was going to loose her. But thankfully we are fine, just a little shaken.

I haven't been on sooner because 'baby girl' (still cant think of a name) has been in and out of hospital for jaundice tests. She was given the all clear yesterday and is just under obs from us and midwives (who have been round every day since her birth).

Well that is all from me i think, Oh apart from breast feeding is going well(every 2-3hours) and will update my profile with some photos of her.

Best of luck to all for safe and easy labours..xxx
Oh and any ideas for names are apreciated

bubblez · 01/04/2007 20:02

sorry for sp mistakes

Bugmum · 01/04/2007 20:09

bubblez - what a story! So glad all is ok with you both. For what it's worth, I think 'Stella' is a beautiful name, meaning 'star'. Not common but not weird, and such a lovely message in it.

thePA · 01/04/2007 20:15

i like Elizabeth shortened to Libby, but then i'm biased (my middle name!)

bubblez · 01/04/2007 20:29

Thank you..... all names will be noted and put forward to dp

Thank you Elliek for emailing my post and for keeping us all updated..xxx

thePA · 01/04/2007 20:40

you do realise it is EllieK here bubblez?

eca · 01/04/2007 20:46

bubblez - wow! What a story! So pleased all is well for you. at first mw panicing and breaking the bed! Oh dear, not very reassuring for you. You sound like you've coped with it all really well. Fraid no suggestions for girls names here. We have a boys one (and we think we're having a boy) but if a little girl comes along we're stumped!!!

LesleyR · 01/04/2007 20:51

Elizabeth shortened to Libby is top of our girls list too. Hope that hasn't put you off Ellie!

Just quickly come on to say thanks for the lovely supportive messages. I have calmed down a lot now. Still no more news on my friend so I assume that she is still hanging on. Going to give my BF in Newcastle a call now to see if she's heard any more.

Goodnight all. Hope there are some nice baby developments overnight.

thePA · 01/04/2007 20:55

not at all Lesley, Elizabeth is a family name, the eldest daughter passes it on to her eldest daughter, but as i have a boy and they tell me this one is another boy, looks like that tradition stops here!

I like Elizabeth but it can be a bit prim so always liked the idea of shortening it to Libby!

octo · 01/04/2007 21:01

Evening - have survived the onslaught of nephews - some tribal fighting but quite calm considering ....

Lesley - sorry to hear about your friend xoxox

Bubblez - I like Stella, Erin, Tilly, Amber and Lily. Your birth sounds a bit manic with the mw panicking - glad all is well now.

Off to bed now

Pesha · 01/04/2007 21:01

Hi all

Hi bubblez, was thinking about you today wondering if i should text you to see how things were or leave you in peace and wait for you to come on here and let us know so thank you for saving me from having to actually make a decision! Really glad everythings going so well, sounds very scary but you sound ever so calm about it all which is great. If id been having a girl I think she would have been Lily but Im having a boy and am completely stuck for names!

And lovely to hear from you Bramshott, mammyjo and oogs and glad everything seems to be going so well for you

It really is starting to make me broody now hearing about you all with real life babies and not just wriggling bumps!

So do we really not have anymore babies since er...the day ooogs had hers (was that thurs or fri? )?!

octo · 01/04/2007 21:02

or Beth, I like Beth

octo · 01/04/2007 21:04

Oh and think ds2 has chickenpox - am really hoping not as have just paid £50 for him to go to preschool this week on extra hours - and that he may be poorly of course!!!!!
