Sorry above for @BlueeSpottyTiger

xxHappyHippyxx · 21/08/2017 11:48

Congrats and welcome @Belager @RainbowsandUnicorns2 and @Wingingitwithmonkeys 🤗 we're getting to be a very busy little thread!!

Hope you're feeling better now you're home @OrangeCloud18

I've signed up to do an aqua natal course thingy which starts next week! Need to do something to counter my constant eating lol I can understand tummy growing but there's no excuse for my butt!! 🤣

Onceuponamama · 21/08/2017 13:23

OK, so my booking appointment is finally here (tomorrow morning) will the midwife most likely do a urine sample or not? I'm trying to work out if I need a full ish bladder!

Hello to all the new joiners!

Feel so sorry hearing the toddler bedtime issues. Your all amazing to have to look after children and battle morning sickness simultaneously!

DancingUnicorn · 21/08/2017 13:38

Once yes. At every appointment I understand!

Countdowntofour · 21/08/2017 13:44

Wee samples all the time, you can take one in a pot yourself though.. I never do it at the actual drs cuz the pots tiny lol. I'm starving and stressed today, not a good combo.

lokelani · 21/08/2017 14:09

I didn't do one at my booking in test. But MW gave me a pot for next time and she did say first wee of the day is the best one. So maybe take a little bottle with you from the morning. And then youll be comfy too!

We had our scan this morning. I was so terrified this morning. It was all ok. Measuring a few days behind what we thought with a new due date of 8 march. It was totally incredible and a huge relief! I'm meant to be working this afternoon at home but my mind is wondering.

Someone else was having a scan today too, hope it all went well. X

Excited1203 · 21/08/2017 14:20

Congratulations @lokelani!

lokelani · 21/08/2017 14:32

Thank you x

ChaoticKate · 21/08/2017 14:55

Another scan done over here! It was lovely, it was a proper little wriggler and it took the midwife ages to take the measurements. All looks good and my due date is 8 Mar. Nuchal translucency was 1.4mm, which Dr Google says would usually be low risk but obviously depends on blood tests results also. I had bloods taken privately for harmony testing on Friday anyway so I'll be relying on those results when they come in.

lokelani · 21/08/2017 15:01

@ChaoticKate we're scan and due date buddies! We had to go in three times as baby refused to face the right way!

Flatwhite31 · 21/08/2017 18:13

Congratulations on the scans @lokelani and @ChaoticKate! Lovely news Smile. Less than 48 hours til mine. The nerves are increasing by the hour!

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 21/08/2017 19:15

Glad you both had good scans!

That reminds me... I MUST sort out my booking appointment Blush

Bluebell93 · 21/08/2017 19:20

Welcome newbies and congrats on the scans! Very jealous and am wishing the next 3 weeks away.

Feeling pretty big at the moment, it's definitely not baby, but bloating/fat from constantly eating! Makes me so self conscious as work don't know. Debating on ordering maternity clothes but worried I'll jinx things or something. Will probably do so after 12 week scan if all is ok!

Fingers crossed for you @Flatwhite31

DancingUnicorn · 21/08/2017 19:56

Lovely to hear about good scans. Flat I'm with you on getting nervous. Hope we both get good outcomes too!

OrangeCloud18 · 21/08/2017 20:04

Lovely news on the scans :)

I feel better, the medication I am on is what they give to cancer patient before chemotherapy, it works and is ok for baby. I am now drinking properly and my appetite is starting to come back.

I have finally made it to my booking in blood test appointment! They had to put the needle in my already bruised arm from IV/blood test when admitted and it was not pleasant x)

Scoobygang7 · 21/08/2017 20:27

@OrangeCloud18 glad you're feeling better. I'd have been asking if they could take bloods for booking while you were admitted. Hope it continues to improve for you.

Yay he went to sleep at half seven and am praying he sleeps like normal lol

BlueeSpottyTiger · 21/08/2017 20:36

Great news on the scans! Congrats both!
orange aww good, glad to hear it!

I loved my h&m maternity jeans last time... they still in good condition up in my loft waiting for the right time, right now I'll stick to dresses!
scooby hooray! Fx he stays in bed until 7am hehe
sally oh my goodness... you still haven't sorted it lol what you like!? 😂

Xx

Moose23IsHungry · 21/08/2017 21:36

Has anyone got a persistent tugging / ache around their uterus? I have a spot maybe 10cm inside my hip bone which feels like a little muscle cramp. It's been there about two weeks (i am approx 9.5 weeks now). Every now and then I get a little twinge there. Wish it would bugger off!

Flatwhite31 · 21/08/2017 21:56

@OrangeCloud18 glad to hear you are home. Hope you continue to feel better.

@Moose23IsHungry I've had tugging feelings on both sides today! I've had it before, although can't remember when. I think it's possibly called round ligament pain (well from what Google is telling me!).

Wingingitwithmonkeys · 22/08/2017 08:46

So lovely to hear about your scans @lokelani and @chaotickate, congrats!

@Sallywiththegoodhurr glad to hear of a fellow fourth timer Smile how old are your children? I have a 5 year old, nearly 4 year old and 14 month old, all boys

Anyone else in full on bitch mode most of the time? I'm so snappy with DH, and my tolerance levels of other people in general (which are usually pretty good) are properly non existent right now Blush luckily I'm fairly good at keeping these thoughts to myself.

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 22/08/2017 08:51

@Wingingitwithmonkeys mine will be 5, 4 and just turned 2 when I'm due so similar to you, I have all girls Smile

Flatwhite31 · 22/08/2017 10:42

I've got full on 12 week scanxiety today! Wish I could feel calmer, but I just don't. Arrrrrgh!

lokelani · 22/08/2017 10:52

@Flatwhite31 it's so worrying isn't it. But before you know it you'll be lying on that chair. Keep yourself busy. Don't trawl the internet looking at bad stories or any stories. I was absolutely terrified yesterday so I understand. Is someone going with you? I gripped DH hand so tight. Get all your paperwork packed etc. We will all be thinking of you tomorrow xx

Flatwhite31 · 22/08/2017 11:08

Thank you so much @lokelani. My DH is coming with me thankfully. Luckily it's in the morning, so I won't have to wait around worrying all day.

Moose23IsHungry · 22/08/2017 11:26

@Flatwhite31 I think you're right. It's damn annoying! Oh and good luck with the scan, I'm sure it will be fine!

@Wingingitwithmonkeys Yes I'm certainly snapping at people more easily! Or at least wanting to!
