Megram I had it in my first pregnancy. How awful yours has started this early it's so painful. I think mine started after 24 weeks and got gradually worse but I delivered DS at 35 weeks so probably missed the worst of it. I found a pillow between my knees while sleeping helped slightly.

On the bright side within a few days of having DS the pain was gone.

peachgreen · 31/07/2017 09:35

@MegRam I had it in my first pregnancy and it was AGONISING. With this one I have slept with a pillow between my knees since the very beginning and have only had mild pain, apart from when the pillow slips out in the night - I really notice a massive difference. It's worth a try until you see the physio?

GruffaloSoldier · 31/07/2017 09:58

Morning everyone!!

Haven't been on here for a while. Start of summer hols and went camping last week with DH, DS1 and DS2.

I'm 18 weeks today, still suffering with nausea and food aversions morning until night Hmm

I have started feeling the baby move now which is great! 20 week scan is 2 weeks today and I'm so excited! I do hope they can see baby's sex.

I also can't wait to start buying some bits and pieces. I've been very good so far!

MissyJones80s · 31/07/2017 11:19

megram I've have had posterior pelvic pain just to right of my tailbone since week 8. It's on and off and is made worse by being active but thankfully not a day to day thing. Talked to midwife about it at wk8 apppointment and also Dr last week but because it's not too bad then I have not been given any more advice on what to do about it. Am going to bring it up again at next appointment because I'd rather be doing something to prevent it getting worse now than getting to the stage when it's really bad and it being too late!!! Let me know how you get on with physio

ForumUsername · 31/07/2017 12:13

@GruffaloSoldier I'm 15 weeks since Saturday and the food aversions are still going really strong!
Mostly the only things I'm even tempted to eat is rubbish! Crisps, chocolate, biscuits, pizza etc

Currently sitting in my car starving but can't think of anything I'd like except maybe a milkshake 😒

AmandaP86x · 31/07/2017 12:46

Hey @Owl1011 aww that's exciting! I really can't wait to see my baby again!! The anxiety levels r high!!!

@ForumUsername I am the exact same I feel so nauseated today 😭😭 managed 2 ginger biscuits and honestly considering an McDonalds!!! I feel hungover 😭

Iv been getting wee slight twinges it's weird! Making me a bit scared actually 😭

I was really into exercise before I fell pregnant and Iv not really done much at all since! Done some walking but nothing major! Was maybe gonna try the gym today but I really don't feel up to it!!

ForumUsername · 31/07/2017 13:32

@AmandaP86x yeah I used to walk and run a good bit and did Pilates once or twice a week but for the past 3 months I've barely moved 😒🤢😴
Going to sign up to a pregnancy Pilates course from Aug 13th so will have to go to that
And am going to try to go for a 30 min walk 3 times a week and build it up too

I'm also getting some twinges on and off, I'm fairly sure it's stretching pains

Our consultant booked us in for a reassurance scan on Aug 14th.
I'll be 17 weeks and can't wait to see baby again. Also can't wait till I can feel it move just for reassurance too.

20 week anatomy scan is Sept 4th

AmandaP86x · 31/07/2017 13:34

@ForumUsername I think we r the same people!!! 😂😂😂😂 I have also signed up to a wee 6 week block.

Maybe go a wee walk later tonight. Need to go food shopping first. DP on way back from Ibiza so no doubt will be in some nick.

Owl1011 · 31/07/2017 14:47

For those who have felt movement, when did it start? I'm 15 weeks (yesterday) and sure I can feel little flutters but not sure if my mind is playing tricks on me?!

Maybebaby2 · 31/07/2017 15:09

Went for midwife app this morning and got to hear babys heartbeat which was lovely! Took a voice recording and sent it to dh who responded lovely, much clearer than last time.... erm but we've not heard it before dh! He got confused and though we had heard it at dating scan 😂 20 week scan in 3 weeks 4 days, can't wait!

owl I was 15 weeks too when first felt flutters, so it could be that. Only if it's low down, anything high up is probably wind!

Rosehyd2 · 31/07/2017 16:43

@maybebaby2 your appointment sounded lovely. I hope mine goes well on Weds and I can hear the heartbeat.

I'm still eating mainly beige foods although an occasional tuna sandwich hits the spot. Mainly still cereal though.

When will you all start buying things? My DH is insistent we wait until the 20 week scan. It's our first baby so we have nothing but I've seen the bedside cot I want and it keeps selling out and being pushed back to pre order with delivery 6 weeks later.

ForumUsername · 31/07/2017 16:50

@Rosehyd2 this is our first too
I was going to buy a few bits of clothes after the 12 week scan but didn't, I was very tired on the day and then felt like I missed the opportunity 🤔
Think I'll wait till 20 week scan now.

We have been in shops looking at and narrowing down prams, car seats and bed side cribs
I'm BIG into planning so have loads of lists and am starting to price check too
But won't buy anything big till early Nov I'd say
Most items we are looking at seem to have a 6-8 lead time

Maybebaby2 · 31/07/2017 16:52

It was rose and it put my mind at rest because I'd started worrying again. Hope you get to hear yours on Wed. Smile

I wasn't going to buy anything till 20 weeks but saw an offer that was too good to miss so we have got multi travel system with car seat, a crib and high chair, all came together as a bundle. Spare room is now full of boxes!!

Rosehyd2 · 31/07/2017 16:55

@forumusername We were exactly the same - we had planned to buy a little something after the 12week scan but never did as DH had to get back to work.

I like the way you've done it - find what you want, list it, then price check it. I'm a super organised person with a million lists too so it sounds like a very good approach!

I wonder if the bigger baby stuff ever goes In the pre-Christmas/early December sales? If we knew what we wanted and just wanted a deal that could work!

MissyJones80s · 31/07/2017 17:00

Haha this recent thread re advance purchasing is really timely. I had a dream last night that we bought baby home and had absolutely nothing prepared and DH had to put baby in a bucket because no nappies lol wtf

MissyJones80s · 31/07/2017 17:01

Think I'm getting planning anxious as in I want to plan and buy but I am stopping myself hehe poor baby in a bucket

Maybebaby2 · 31/07/2017 17:02

Babys heart beat was 142 today, there's an old wives tale that says if it's above 140 it's a girl and below is a boy, found this predictor site just for fun, mine comes out a boy... www.babybpm.com/

Gemxo · 31/07/2017 18:35

Hi ladies, hope you are all well!!

I'm currently on my babymoon with DP & loving the break!! Morning sickness is slowly easing now at 14+6

X

Owl1011 · 31/07/2017 18:41

@Maybebaby2 that's good to know! It's a lot lower than my belly button so hoping it's the start of feeling little movements! Glad to hear your appointment all went well Smile

Ruthcarr1990 · 31/07/2017 21:02

So me and dh are sat talking names for a boy. He said i no put 5 names in each and we will get dd to pull one out.
He wants to name it after him if it's a boy.
So I'm there looking at all different names.
Dd goes to pick one out. He had only gone and written his name on all 5 bits of paper so not amused at all!! Xxx

thingymaboob · 31/07/2017 22:18

@Ruthcarr1990 I'm not a fan of naming sons after fathers. My father named my brother after him and they are both arseholes. Maybe I'd have a different view if their personalities were different.

Ruthcarr1990 · 31/07/2017 22:21

I don't want to there have been many arguments over this!! I will get my own way and name him after my grandad! Xxx

ForumUsername · 31/07/2017 22:24

We keep ruling names out
Either there already is one in the family or one of us know someone with the name and we don't like them

Haven't managed to rule any in really
Hoping to have 3 of each on a short list and then seeing which fits when we meet baby
But I won't be surprised if baby ends up being known as baby for a few days 😂

AmandaP86x · 01/08/2017 00:00

What names u thinking girls?

I love Cooper for a boy but some of my family r like aw that a dogs name I'm like naw when ur grandchild is called it it will be ur grandchilds name 😂😂

millsbynight · 01/08/2017 06:40

@Maybebaby2 at my 16 week appointment my midwife measured the heartbeat at it was 149bmp. Does that mean I'm having a girl?

So I analysed my 12 week scan pic against the Skull Theory, and I did the wee in bicarbonate thing and I really think I am having a girl! It's all adding up!

Roll on 20 week scan so i can finally find out!!!

@Gemxo jealous of your babymoon. Where are you?

I'm exactly like you @ForumUsername I've ruled out so many names because of people I know with that name and I don't like them Grin Not leaving us with much choice! DH and I both have boring "English" names, DS too for that matter, there are 3 other boys with his name in his year at school. I guess we'll end up picking a pretty generic/popular name this time around too because we're not that adventurous!

We currently really like Olivia for a girl or Jack for a boy. I know I know, we're so boring! 🙈
