Yes to tiredness! If I have even a remotely busy morning I feel like I need to nap in the afternoon. And even a 30 minute kip works wonders whereas pre-pregnancy any day sleeping made me feel terrible!

Yes the tiredness is kicking my arse some days!!

Millsbynight you are so tiny! Very jealous as every part of me appears to be rapidly expanding.

We don't need to buy much because DS is only two and we kept everything. Definite benefits to having another boy.

I'm exhausted today, DS was up from 4.30. Work has been never ending!

But it's more mental tiredness now whereas before I was physically exhausted.

We are coming into our busy period in work (now till Christmas) so I'm feeling quite drained
Also have very little patience with stupid people in work! I'm being very blunt about things rather than even trying to be diplomatic.
I guess my mind is already in overdrive with baby related stuff.

We were doing some home improvement stuff at the weekend and I noticed my stamina is much lower. Had to have more breaks and gave up an hour before DH so I could lay down for a nap

I'm being naughty and taking maternity from 2nd November! I've got bad back pains already and I've got a feeling I'm going to be in no fit state to work up until middle December 🙈

20 weeks scan: done! All looking good and everything in the right place! Phew!

And she's a GIRL! 💖 I was sure she was a boy so I am quite surprised!! Very happy though! xx

Will be super jealous of you in November victoriaaa. When are you planning on returning to work after mat leave?

We only get 13 weeks full pay, statutory up to 9 months with last 3 months unpaid. Will definitely be a struggle this time round as we want to keep DS at childminder a few days.

Here in Ireland the state pays a small amount for 6 months (as long as you've been working almost a year in advance)
It's the same payment no matter how much you earn or pay in tax
I can then take a further 3 months unpaid if I want
But I'll judge that closer to the time

It's going to be weird not having my full wage, I'll be coming out with only about a 1/4 of what I'm used to 😒

I've got drs appt for my back pain tomorrow, hoping to get physio referral.

6 weeks at 90% pay, the rest of the 9 months at SMP and then 3 months unpaid here. Thankfully I think we've managed to save up enough that losing thousands of pounds won't hit so hard starting mat leave 1st Jan but finish up on 20th Dec with annual leave.

Also still shattered but feeling movement and have my 20 week scan on Friday so that's nice.

DP finally felt a kick tonight!!! 19 weeks today, was a special moment. We both looked at eachother in shock with teary eyes loving the moment! I thought it might of all been in my head but nope he defiantly felt our boy kicking to!!

It's amazing when they first feel a kick isn't it! Feels like they finally know your not loosing the plot haha or that's how I felt lol

@SJ1989 we both looked at each other in shock because he had finally felt it! I thought I was going crazy as I have had his hand constantly on my stomach to feel and he always didn't feel a thing! It was driving me mad!

I was like that would feel a kick an put his hand on bump then she wouldn't kick, playing ticks already so was made up when he felt as i knew he knew I wasn't lying about feeling it! Although he had no reason to think I was haha does make it seem so much more real doesn't it!

@SJ1989 haha! I said the same to DP 'now you know I'm not lying! He's really kicking!'

I think us women assume people don't believe us until they feel for themselves! 🙈

Just rechecked my scan info and I note i have anterior placenta. So that's why I'm not feeling any kicks at 21 weeks.

Just realised that I do have an actual due date @millsbynight is 4 Jan. Also you're very good for doing that enormous list!

@reetgood - I'm in the same boat. 20 + 4 with anterior placenta. I'd been quite anxious about it, so was relieved to have an explanation at my 20 week scan. I feel 'bubbles' and 'pulls' but very few kicks. My placenta is quite high up at the front, so when I do feel movement it tends to be lower down or more towards my hip area.

So glad to hear others are experiencing tiredness, although glad not the right word as I would rather we all were full of beans instead. Called midwife and she didn't seem worried, just said if still tired and worried at next appointment 24 weeks they'd check levels again.
Started pregnancy yoga tonight, it was fab. Really enjoyed it and it actually gave me a boost of energy. Signed up for the sessions and hope I can still be there like some of the other ladies until full term!!!

I'm looking to finish about 17th November which is quite early (EDD 6/1/17) but I have a lot of holidays still to take. So would only start mat leave about 27th Dec. They want to induce me a week early so could have a NYE baby.

I also have an anterior placenta so although I can feel baby kicking, the movements are lighter and reduced. Can't wait until I can feel hiccups... anyone felt them yet?

Seems alot of us Jan mums to be have an anterior placenta!
