18+2 today and worried about my lack of bump considering this is my second child and I literally don't know what the inside of a gym looks like. Should I be worried? I'm scared I'll get to 20 week scan and they tell me baby stopped growing

Anyone else on their 2nd, 3rd, nth child with small bump??

I've been putting on weight. I've put on 12lbs but a lot of that seems to be on my thighs and hips rather than bump.

Try being a teachers and trying to find a name that you both like! We appear to have taught a naughty kid with every name under the sun!

millsbynight did you have a bump at this stage with number 1? I'm sure it's nothing to worry about and if you're putting on weight it should be ok. I'd you're really worried you could ring your midwife but I am sure everything is fine.

@Sophsta I was quite small with DS until 3rd trimester when I ballooned. Never had an issue at midwife appointments when measuring bump and DS was born 7.2lbs. Maybe it will be the same this time around too!

Never thought how hard it must be for teachers to name their babies but makes so much sense that it would be difficult!!

I echo what the other ladies have said @millsbynight I'm sure it's probably normal, but if you're worried just speak to your midwife :)

I'm really struggling with names 😩 I had some girls names that I loved but now that we know it's a boy I'm stumped!! I also work in a school and it definitely makes it much harder - so far we like Oscar or Caleb the most but finding it's really difficult. I'm glad we have a while to decide!

I'm convinced I'm having a boy, as calling it 'him' sounds more right than 'her'. Can't think of any boys names I like tho! I've got a few girls names, Alice, Alyssa, Rose or Evelyn. I like Lilly too, but there seems to be a million of them. If it's a girl, it will probably have Rose at least as a middle name. My husbands grandma is Heather and mine was Ivy so I like the thought of having a plant/flower name in there. I'll try to think of some boys names closer to the time!

Will also probably start shopping after 20wk. Going to the mothercare event on the 20th of this month, so might get some ideas there.

Amanda we had a Cooper in my class this year and I think it's a lovely name, first time we had a child in school with that name too no it's not common.

Me and the midwife were having a laugh about it because she said mine wasn't giving anything away at 142, too close to call either way. That silly predictor thing I shared came out as boy but every other test I've done says girl. I'm like you just waiting for 20 week scan to find out!

Gemhope you'r having a lovely time away, be careful you don't get ill with too much sun though! Saying that I'm terrible and always burn too!

Names... so we've got Jude for a boy which I always wanted but dh was against but he's just come around to it. Other than that we had one that was quite out there, it was Xander which I still like but won't use because poor child would spend a lifetime having to spell it to people.

We've decided on Ivy for a girl but can't decide if it should be Ivy Rose as two first names not hyphenated or Ivy and Rose as a middle name?? Dh likes it as two first names because he want the Rose to be used amd he thinks middle names don't get used. Which I would agree and is why I didn't give ds a middle name and I personally don't like my own middle name and don't use it. So was never planning on a middle name for this one, but now I can't decide. Opinions??

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?

Another teacher here struggling with names. I have found the boys names are the problem as u seem to have taught a huge group of 'interesting characters' and all have been boys. The other problem is we both have a lot of male relatives so that knocks out another group of names.

I just surprised DS by saying we're off to McDonalds for lunch. He's overjoyed and I said it's because he's been so well behaved recently but it's really only because I'm desperate and gagging for a large chocolate milkshake 🙈

maybe I love both names and in fact both are on my list of girls names. I say why not link them together if you love both then your DD can decide what she prefers the be called!

I was just in my bed there I had like really watery discharge like actually wee small patch on the sheet - really sorry this is defo TMI. I'm now totally convinced my waters have broke or something 😩😩😩

@AmandaP86x sorry to hear you're having some pains. Have you phoned the midwife or GP for advice?

amanda sorry I missed your first post. If you are uncomfortable book a drs appointment you will be a priority as you are pregnant. You may have a UTI or something or it could just be things moving around in there due to baby growing. I felt so uncomfortable yesterday my tummy felt so stretched from the inside (I'm 14+6).
Best advice if you are worried get it checked if only to put your mind to rest!

I phoned my EPU. She did reassure me slightly. It's weird cause it's honestly just at my belly button weird! I am so stressed I need to try and relax 😳

@AmandaP86x I'm sure it's everything stretching and making room for baby, although if it's around your belly button could it be trapped wind and bloating maybe? I had that feeling across my stomach this morning whilst at the gym and had a minor panic! Try to relax and get some rest if you can

We have a boys name and a girls name that we both fell in love with pretty much straight away after the usual debating of names crossed out because of people we know. We aren't finding out the sex so it feels a long while until we know which will be used!

She said it's common it's just everything moving about I dunno doesn't feel right! I work in obs and gyn so usually I could get a wee scan at work but I am not back until Thursday 🙈

We just booked two weeks away in sept
I'll be flying out at 21 weeks and back at 23
I'll have to take 5 days holidays from next year but really looking forward to it!
