@rememberpurpleronnie they have given me 3 weeks supply of 40s I no it's the same thing but just concerned I have some fragmin left so I may just use that till I see the consultant next week xxx

Is anyone else starting to freak out at the lack of symptoms? I'm 18+2 with an anterior placenta so no hope of feeling movements for a while, and I can't help but panic that everything's gone wrong because I feel fine! I had a MMC last year and it's really haunted this pregnancy unfortunately. Feels like the only time I feel okay is when I'm actively in a scan!

I'm the same peach and also 18 + 2 today. Not even the hint of a movement yet. I know they can be hated on here but my Doppler keeps me sane. I can always find her and it just gives me peace of mind that she's ok. I only allow myself to listen every other day for like 30 seconds but I find it so reassuring. I'll stop as soon as movements start as I know the risks of it masking a problem. Sorry to hear of your mmc

18+4 and likewise finding the wait for the next scan torture! Feeling movements would def help.

Ive just got back from my 20w scan. All is well with baby and we are still team yellow

I asked to sonographer where my placenta was and it is anterior (which explains why I haven't felt anything yet). However, it is also covering my cervix so I have been booked in for a scan at 32 weeks to see if it has moved. Was feeling calm until I got home and read the scary leaflet they put in with my maternity notes now. I think I may call my midwife as wasn't given any advice concerning what I should/shouldn't do (or do I just continue as normal?)

@peachgreen I know how you're feeling. I had a mmc in January so have had a lot of anxiety this pregnancy. I'm now 20+1 & been feeling movement the last few days/a week regularly which helps put my mind at ease. I've had 6 scans so far (some private/some nhs) spaced about 3/4 weeks apart so that helps me feel less anxious. I've just been trying to focus on the next app/scan so I'll hear the heartbeat or see her moving. Today was my 20 week scan & that will probably be my last one unless I pay for a private one. I'm hoping that now I can feel her move my anxiety will calm down a bit.

Peachgreen Hopefully it won't be long until you feel baby. An anterior placenta does not always mean you'll be waiting much later to feel movement. I can't remember with my first but had definitely felt him before 20 week scan. This time I've felt movement from 17 weeks and everyday since 19 weeks, so you might start feeling them soon.

Sorry if this is TMI but has anyone else been suffering with severe bloating and trapped wind? It's got to the point where I am almost in pain I'm feeling so uncomfortable and don't know what to do to ease it?! Stuck on a 4 hour train journey for work isn't helping

@owl1011 I've not had any this pregnancy but I had the worst trapped wind after I had my son. I think peppermint eases it, I couldn't stand the tea but I would eat mint imperials & polo mints. It can be so painful, I had a 30 hour labour & an emergency c section & the trapped wind was actually the worst pain!

@Waitingonasmile Fingers crossed! I have quite a high BMI too which I imagine also makes a difference. Come on baby, get kicking!

@MrsCorr Yes I've had quite a few scans too and have on on Saturday. I'm normally okay for a week afterwards but then it starts to feel so far away!

@peachgreen - I'm 19+4 and feeling exactly the same way, although I don't know if I have an anterior placenta - will ask at 20 week scan. I wish I could feel definite movements - sometimes I feel things that turn out to be gas (!), sometimes I get little twinges that I think are probably just ligaments stretching - nothing I can definitely attribute to baby. Most of the time, I feel nothing at all.

17 weeks and 2 days of work left. not that I'm counting. Christmas will be such a lovely time to go on maternity leave.

Thanks for the mint advice @MrsCorr I'll try anything right now! Picked up some mints so will have a few of those throughout the day tomorrow to try and ease it!

Is work kicking anyone's else ass at the moment?! I do a lot of travelling throughout the UK and it's completely exhausting!

Hi everyone!

Had my scan today and all is well with bubs. Took my other dds with us and they were fascinated seeing the baby on the screen!!!

The sonographer wrote the sex down on a card and put it in an envelope and gave it to the kids. They opened it at home and then came and told us that they are going to have a little sister!!!! Very happy!!!! 💖

Congrats @ndo! What a lovely way to find out the sex!

Is anyone else having trouble sleeping at the moment? Really struggling and it's doing my head in 😴

Yes klaw. Trouble sleeping here. DD and I are full of the cold, so are having a duvet day today. I miss lemsip! Meh, could be worse.

I have a very superficial, annoying symptom. Has anyone else's hair turned to shit? Mine is awful. I can't do anything with it. I had to have it cut last week as it just looks so terrible. It's really dry, even though I haven't used shampoo for days. I just keep wacking it into a horrible little pony tail. Annoying.

@klc75 I'm the same, either I can't fall asleep to begin with or I wake up around 2.30-3 and stay awake for hours! Thought I'd have a bit longer to prepare for no sleep 😩

I've not noticed changed in my hair on my head as such, it's always pretty crap unless I straighten it anyway! But I am more err... hairy in general! Sideburns are pretty intense at the moment 😬

Sleep is a real problem for me at the moment, I'm not getting much at all. It's got worse over the last week because I picked up new car on Sunday (passed test at beginning of month) and instead of feeling a sence of freedom it's making me incredibly anxious. I didn't sleep for a few nights before picking it up worrying about having to drive it home and I've not slept since because I'm worrying about having to drive it anywhere else. I've only managed to go round the block a couple of times in it up to now. Quite disappointed in myself as I thought I'd gotten over the fear ☹

Luckily I'm not in work because it's the summer hols, and I have another week and a bit before I go back. Hopefully will be a bit more confident driving by then and will get some sleep at night!
