Don't know although I suspect girl (genderexperts... not 100% guaranteed but they predict girl). OH doesn't want to find out for until birth so genderexperts was just a fun for us

I don't know till 2 weeks from today! Dying to find out. We have a boy and 2 girls so are really hoping for a boy. My eldest is 4 and he had a melt down when I told him his new cousin was a girl last week but we had a chat about us not getting to decide and how wonderful any brother or sister will be. In the car yesterday he was telling his little sister (3) that 'we don't get to decide and will be happy whatever comes but it would be lucky if it's a boy because then we have one each' (meaning a sister and a brother for everyone). Lol. It was very cute but I'm shocked how the girl boy thing is on their minds at such a young age! It's mad and I try really hard to never make things about girls and boys here.

Don't know and not finding out.

First one, so really want the surprise after all the hard work of labour. Plus I think babies suit neutral colours better so I don't want to be tempted myself, or have any one else buy a load of pink or blue stuff. At least then if we go on to have a second we will have hand me downs if it is a different sex too :).

All these gender scans are so exciting. Ours is on Saturday and I can't wait. We've been calling this baby "she" from day one - accidentally! - as has everyone else. Very strange as we were convinced the baby we lost was a boy, so it's not a preference thing. But I know I'll be surprised on Saturday if it's a boy - but I'll soon get my head around it and be just as excited!

(Would also really recommend this site for gorgeous baby clothes!! I know boys clothes are really hard compared to girls and this site is brilliant for boys bits, was recommended to me by my sister)

Oh gemxo, I'm going to have to resist! So tempting to go and buy loads isn't it?

We have lots of unisex stuff from DD thankfully, so won't need anything till the new baby is three months or so.

The only thing I've bought is a new pushchair which I found on eBay. Was very good value and we can use it for dd till DS arrives, so I feel like I was allowed that one.

Next thing on my list is a crib - we borrowed a Moses basket for DD which we hen returned to the couple who lent it to us as they were expecting again. Has anyone looked into the side by side crib things? Like baby bay, chicco next to me etc? I'm quite tempted.

That hat and mittens set is so lovely though.

I can't stop buying baby stuff 🙈 I know I should be waiting but I just can't resist!!
I'm trying to pick up things like little white vests and muslins as I go so that we have a good stick of them, but I have bought quite a few clothes too 😬 mostly quite neutral I would say, although we do know we are having a boy - I like neutral colours or bright colours rather than the traditional blue or pink. Trying to get a range of sizes as well, up to 1 month, 0-3 and 3-6... I really need reign it in though!!

I bought my sister the Chico next to me crib and she loves it! I got it on sale from mothercare for £160, it's really easy to move as well from house to house if we are babysitting for her!

I am totally weird with buying stuff and won't until just before baby is here. Stupidly I feel like I'm tempting fate which I know is totally irrational but can't shake it. I won't even look out DS's old clothes .

I really want one of the bedside cribs this time! It would definitely make night feeds easier especially if it's another CS.

Decaff we've got the Chicco next to me crib. Got it in a bundle deal. I wanted a crib instead of a moses basket because it will get more use. Also I love the idea of having baby right next to me within in arms reach, it's co sleeping but in a safe way. The design we chose is lovely it's grey with a dandelion print on the side. It can rock or be stationary and can attatch to side of bed or stand alone. It looks great although I've not tried to set it up as yet, it's currently sitting in a box with a lot of other boxes in spare room!

I have started buying neutral bits, sleep suits, blankets etc
Still want to wait till Oct/Nov before getting the bigger things
Although we've picked it all out and I've been price checking and keeping an eye out on sales.
Have decided to go with a snuzpod bedside crib, it's our first and think having easy access at night sounds great!

Someone alerted me to the knowledge that you can rent a bednest crib for £40 for 6 months (plus new mattress for £40). As they're an up to 6 month size deal, I think we'll go with that

I saw the bednest advert on Facebook I think it was, but I thought £80 was a bit much to just rent and not own something. I would prefer to buy for a bit more, and either keep it for a possible baby #2 or sell it to recoup some cash.

I've been looking at the snuzpod. Those of you with the alternatives, chicco etc, can you confirm wether you can or can't zip and unzip the side whilst it is attached to the bed? I haven't managed to find a sold answer to this yet. That is one of my requirements, as I really want it to be able to be zipped up during the night while baby sleeps to reduce the risk of my duvet flopping into the crib, but of course want to be able to zip it down for ease of baby removal for feeding in night.

Icantthinkof yes the chicco next to me can by adjusted up or down during the night with one hand, it's a fold down mechanism rather than a zip, I'll attatch a photo of what it says on box...

@MummyM33 my midwife gave me the form to fill in and said reception just needed to stamp it with the address of the practice and then I needed to send it off. I did that and then a week or so later my maternity exemption card arrived in the post. I wasn't aware I needed to show work anything, whoops.

Another unknown sex here. We are waiting although I'm secretly hoping I can add evidence to my theory from the skull at the scan. I have called baby He since we found out so I'm convinced its a boy. Having said that I had a very realistic dream we had a little girl last night and it was amazing!
