Lovely isn't it forum Mine are getting quite strong now so I'm spending a lot of time staring at my stomach and hoping to see it and feel it on the outside because I want dh to be able to experience it too!

I've woke up with the worst sickness ever!!!!

Had a bit each morning and today is just full on!! Just attempted some toast.

I was really ill with my dd in hospital at least once a week with dehydration. Let's hope it passes. Xxx

Have just been for early gender scan. Was really lovely. All looks well with the baby and, although I wasn't sure we'd be able find out today as it's quite early, we were able to see that it is most definitely a boy! We're over the moon .

Hope you feel better soon Ruth it's hard to keep hydrated if you are constantly being sick. Could you try a rehydration powder or tablet something like dioralyte? Boots do their own for 3 quid and it is safe to use during pregnancy, it's just called rehydration treatment and is a powder like dioralyte.

I have woke up today really upset still about this 'high risk' category I'm now in, can I request to be taken off that as I think it's totally uncalled for. The midwife did not even explain what this now meant for me and my pregnancy and I just feel in total limbo! Am I being stupid? I feel like once the baby is here am I constantly going to have to justify 'I'm ok' I've even just mentioned to DP does this mean I will have SS involved when baby is born because I've had anxiety/panic attacks in the past? I know I'm probably being silly but this is my first baby and I just don't know what's going on!

On a better note today is my gender scan!!!! Tomorrow I will be cutting the cake to see if I'm having a boy or girl

Please don't worry. There are many reasons people are considered high risk. I am considered high risk! Half of my NCT group have been high risk in at least one of their pregnancies. It is not uncommon and it is nothing to worry about.

If PND is the worry; PND is also not uncommon and SS does not get involved with every mother who has it, just because they have PND.

I seriously doubt that SS would want to be involved with you, simply because you have had the odd panic attack!

I think you do need to speak to your mw again though, as it doesn't sound as if she has done a very good job of explaining things to you and has just made you worry.

I really, really don't think this is anything to worry about. I know that's easy to say though and hard to believe sometimes!

Gemxo I think you need to ask for clarification if it's still upsetting you.* * Phone and speak to someone on Monday and have a list of everything you want to ask. I'm sure they will just be being ultra cautious if you've suffered from anxiety. For me, having complications and those first weeks with a newborn were without a doubt the most emotional, overwhelming and frightening time of my life so I can completely understand why they want to ensure you are supported in the coming months. Obviously it's a lovely time too!!

I think you should give your MW a call and ask her to explain what being in high risk means for you

I don't think it's anything to worry about
But there are so many different reasons to being in a high risk category you need complete information to see how it is relevant to you and what it means for your care x

@Gemxo ditto what the others have said below. I haven't had issues with mental health myself but pretty much every member of my immediate family does, my mum was especially severe until she passed, so I mentioned it all to the midwife as PND is something I am aware of and want to try and prevent/treat as soon as possible if it does affect me. They definitely wouldn't be getting SS involved even if you did suffer from PND so please don't worry, I would just take it as a signal that they will be ready and will to help you should you need it, but I definitely ask your midwife to clarify as I'm sure her intention wasn't to leave you feeling upset and confused xx

I seem to have really popped out literally overnight! Means I have a very achey pelvis today but a significantly bigger bump all of a sudden! Pregnancy is so bloomin' strange!

Anyone else notice boob changes?
Mine had gone up a few sizes and then stopped for a few weeks
This past week they seem to have gone up a couple of sizes again!!?!?

I'm going to need a frame to keep me from toppling forward with the massive boobs and bump soon!

Scan went great!! Didn't get great pictures as baby was in a awkward position facing out for most of my scan!

The lady doing the scan found the gender pretty quick! I wonder what it is!! She did say 'he' and 'she' both at the scan so now my mind is doing overtime as I think she slipped up saying he then tried to rectify it by then saying she as well!

Would Anyone like to take a final guess at what they think before tomorrow

Oh I'm rubbish at guessing gemxo, but the pics look just like ours! Wonder if it's the same place, or maybe just the same equipment.

The cake sounds like a really fun way to find out though! .

So I bought my first "big" item off my list today... a car seat! We got the Maxi Cosi Pebble. I couldn't help myself.. I've been wanting to buy something for ages and because we don't know the sex yet a black car seat seemed like a good compromise

former nope... I've gone from a usual 30DD to a 30F in first trimester and stayed that way. I think they'll have another growth spurt in late pregnancy again though!

I can't wait until today is over. Why do two year olds have to scream all the time. Can't wait to have a newborn that can't throw tantrums.

Oooo can I join in please? Baby num 2 due 27/01/18. Our first daughter is 5, and will be turning 6 on 18/01 so April must be a very fertile time for hubby and me.

Pregnancy has been very different this time around. Had symptoms and a bump from almost day 1. 3 months of awful nausea and feeling absolutely shattered. Now much more energetic, but my skin is dreadful. Never had spots before and face is covered in them currently. Oh the joys of being pregnant!!!! I'm hoping this doesn't last the whole pregnancy.
