A tap, a thud, a pop, a ripple... they're the best descriptions of the different feelings I get. Also had a couple of rolling sensations and sometimes it tickles

Our scan went well
It looked like the baby was dancing, long thin legs jumping around
Then it curled up in a c shape, legs stretched out in front.
God I can't wait to meet him/her!

My doctor decided to take a urine sample for tests because my nausea had come back
She said sometimes kidney infections can present like that when pregnant?!
If I do have one is there any risk?

Thanks so much for all the responses - very reassuring! I'll ask about the position of my placenta when I have my scan next week.

@hanna87 yea it's my first so excited

@Rosehyd the best way I can describe it is a nudge, or like being wrapped in a quilt and somebody nudging you through the layers of the quilt but from the inside it's an odd but nice feeling

17+4 with my first. Had a private scan last weekend as was told my placenta is at the back so movement is imminent. Thought I felt it last week but tend to find I'm feeling her more at night when I'm in bed getting ready for sleep

Thanks for the well wishes, the scan went great! Baby was bouncing around and waving, and I couldn't feel a thing, so those of you worried that you can't feel movement please don't worry! 😊 The sonographer said everything looked good and now I just can't wait to meet him or her! Counting down not up is a big milestone, going to shop a tiny bit on Wednesday or Thursday 😊

Great news @WLMcI - glad it all went well. I'm making shopping lists, but not sure when I'll actually feel ready to buy things!

I've been feeling some pops and things but it could just be my digestive system 😂 I'm pretending it's the baby though as its where I imagine they are and it makes me feel reassured!

Still got 3 weeks to wait before my 20 week scan. Feels like forever!!

Congrats to all that have scans so far. Can't believe how quick time is going!

Had our 20 week scan yesterday. All is fine and it's a little boy!

Two big brothers are very excited! We are all very happy.

Im now looking at things to buy as we got rid of loads of stuff as didn't think we would have another! A lot would have been the wrong season anyway.

I have only just started feeling movement in the last couple of weeks and now at 20 weeks it's suddenly become more noticeable. Think 3 rd babies you are supposed to be felt sooner but placenta is at the front too which might be why.

My 20 week scan isn't till next week. Urghhhhhhhhhhh!!

So lovely to hear people are starting to feel kicks/movements. I'm still not sure if I have yet! (18w)

I am feeling rubbish today, absolutely full of cold and a pounding headache.. any ideas on what I can take for it ladies?

I'm feeling under the weather today as well. Sorry to hear you are too.

I had such a headache in the night and have been having horrible neck and shoulder pain for days now. I think it's some sort of virus as I'm all sweaty and sneezy today.

I went to see a nurse today and she said I can only take paracetamol but, if I'm desperate, I can take co-codamol. I had to go and speak to the pharmacist to buy it, as apparently some of them have aspirin in them, which we can't have. I haven't taken any yet, but it's good to know I can, if I badly need it.

Decaf - I've been in agony with shoulder and neck pain today as well. Current sat with a hot water bottle on it, never felt anything like this before!!

Well this is bizarre- I've been working from home all day with a suspected virus too. Awful headache, really sore throat and blocked ears, I just know it will be a runny nose tomorrow. I feel horrendous.

I've been having a lot of pain the last couple of days!

Stitch shooting pains down my left side of stomach and ALOT of stretching pain in my pelvis 17 weeks today, 5 days till we find out the gender

Anyone else nervous about their 20 week scan? Mine is on Thursday and I'm bricking it. The baby is high risk for congenital heart disease because I already have DS who has CHD, so it's being done by two consultants. I know my heart will be thumping in my chest throughout until they tell me it's all ok. And it's at 4pm, so I've got to build up to it all day!

I can't remember if this was the thread that had mentioned freebies or not? I picked up the first Emma's diary pack today, the mum to be one. Not a huge amount in it, but not bad for a freebie! Apparently pack 2 (bump to baby) has a 22pk of pampers in, so that will be well worth picking up.

Has anyone else's hormones gone crazy suddenly? Having an irrational worry today about my 20 week scan which is still 3 weeks away and just got overly emotional watching Indecent Proposal

@Gemxo I've been having some pains recently, nothing too bad but enough to make me notice. Rang the midwife this morning and she said as long as it's not accompanied by spotting/bleeding it's probably growing pains.

How strange, I also had horrible neck and shoulder pain today! It seems to have gone off a bit now thankfully.

Yes! Hormones are going crazy one minute I'm crying because someone been nice to me and the next I'm crying because I feel down. I also find myself washing my hands more frequently and thinking about germs more 🙈

Rememberpurpleronnie no wonder you are worrying. It's stressful enough without having that extra worry. Hopefully it'll all be ok on the day.

I always panic before scans and expect bad news. Mine is next week! I was alone for 12 week and will be alone for this one, so don't even have someone to distract me.

I'm starting to get nervous about my scan on Friday! Been fine but it's pretty close now and the nerves are kicking in but also majorly excited!
