@flossyfloss I haven't vomited for about 10 days now and I'm eating the world. I never want to go back to those dark days of constant vomiting and diet of hula hoops.

@klaw87 😂😂 good motto. I shall embrace the "ignorance is bliss" line for the rest of this pregnancy... maybe I won't step back on the scales till this kid is 18 😁

I have the 20 week scan in an hour...will let you all know how it goes! Baby's gender will be a surprise for us, but I'm just hoping everything is OK in there.

LOL I don't even own scales! My mother was a bit obsessed about her weight and appearance, so I've decided to avoid as many of those image pitfalls as possible. The MW weighed me at 12 weeks for my booking in, and it seemed like my usual weight, so I don't think I put on any in the first trimester. But they won't weigh me again for ages I think--they don't do it as often as they used to unless they're worried about it! I haven't actually gained visibly anywhere except my belly, (and my boobs a bit, maybe my arms?) so the maternity trousers work got me are never going to fit me as they seem to be sized up...I'm still stuck with my usual trousers and going to just get some belly bands to cover the fact that my fly is undone!

@MissyJones80s haha we knew what you meant and I know it's scary that that's half way! Officially counting down now not up haha

Increasingly paranoid about the fact I'm 18.5 weeks and haven't felt any definite movement yet. I know it can take much longer - just wanted the reassurance of some kicks! Are any of you this far along without being able to feel anything you can definitely attribute to the baby moving around?

We've a reassurance scan today, really looking forward to seeing baby
Can't wait for the 20 week one on Sept 6th as there is more detail on that one

I had been nausea free for over a week but it's back yesterday and today ☹️
So annoying! I thought I was out of it
The tiredness has kept eased off although feel queasy all the time ends up making me knackered too

@ElleMcElle please don't stress! Still very early days and baby doesn't weigh much at all so even though they're somersaulting in your uterus, it's not strong enough to feel through the womb just yet as they're so light. I didn't feel my first till about 22 weeks and even then it was a very very weak punch. Didn't help that I had an anterior placenta. I have an anterior placenta this time around again and some days I can feel baby move but other days not a peep and I'm 20+1!

I've found baby most active between 8pm-10pm when I'm lying still and completely flat on my back and/or just had a sugary drink.

Thanks @millsbynight - I know I shouldn't worry, but my irrational side is taking over! The wait between 12 wk and 20 wk scans feels so long - can't wait to (hopefully!) see movement then if I haven't felt it before.

@ElleMcElle I'm 17+2 and haven't felt anything that is definitely baby
Have felt some wind that feels in an odd place but nothing I'd say I'm sure is baby
Everyone says when you feel it you'll know for sure
I'm a little paranoid too that's why I'm really looking forward to Scan later today too

Had a dream last night I could feel baby moving from outside and woke up all disappointed

Definitely try not to worry! Baby is so tiny still and you could have an anterior placenta that's cushioning some of the movement so you don't feel it. I know it's hard not to panic but not feeling anything by now is totally normal.

@EllemcElle I'm not feeling any movement at 19+3 and have an anterior placenta, had a scan at 16+5 and everything was looking ok so got my fingers crossed for my 20 week scan Thursday !

@ElleMcElle I'm 18+6 and I've not felt anything either! Desperate to feel that first kick but keep on reminding myself not to worry and that it won't be long before I do x

I've got my 20w scan a week on Tues so I'm going to ask where the placenta is then

At 18 weeks I couldn't 100% say if felt the baby yet now at 20 weeks some kicks are visible and my partner felt baby move for the first time yesterday! But it's at 19 weeks the baby starts gaining brown fat apparently so it becomes easier to feel so don't stress ladies

I've only just started to feel some movement that i can say is the baby..so since around 19+4 and even then they are so faint, and only randomly when i am very still and concentrating ..1st baby for me..cant see any kicks on the outside yet!
@SJ1989 is this ur 1st? Cant wait to get to that stage..

For those feeling kicks or movement, what do they feel like?

@Rosehyd2 I've felt tiny little taps- that feel like a bubble popping..but only a few so far.
Its almost been like when you're nervous and feel butterflies..
As you can tell..my descriptive skills are abysmal

@hanna87 that's a good description thank you! A friend just said it would feel like butterflies which felt so hard to imagine, but the popping sensation makes sense. I can't wait!
