wapphighwood childcare costs are probably not going to be an issue for anyone who earns over 100k a year 😂 I guess just knowing that there is that provision out there may be a help for someone and if its something they really want to take up then they can look for a setting that does offer it.

I was away so couldn't attend an appointment at 16 weeks. I had seen consultant about 14 weeks so the midwife said to just come back at 24 weeks. Seems like ages away but suppose I've got anomaly scan in between.

Is anyone else going to attempt vbac? I'm so undecided about what to do about elective or vbac.

We got this bundle on the bounty offer. It was £595 for the travel system, car seat, auto fix base, high chair and crib. They do different colours but we went for the grey, we can brighten it up with accessories when we know what we're getting

I have my 16 week appointment today and somebody above has mentioned a foof check?! I am not prepared for this?! Say it isn't so!😂

@Disinterested I had mine on Tuesday and there was no foof checkage! Though she did roll my knickers down quite far to press on my pelvis.

They definitely did not check my foof at my 16 week appointment... blood pressure and wee yes but no foof..

When do they start checking your foof?! I'm not sure I'm prepared for that just yet!

They did also listen for heartbeat but I think this depends on the midwife x

Flaw87 well I got to 35 weeks last time and there was no foof checking at midwife appointments by then, but can't help any further on than that.

There was definitely no foof check at my 16 week appointment! 😂 Is that a thing now? It wasn't when I had ds an age ago, the only foof checking was when I was induced! Really not sure I'm prepared for any foof checking prior to being in labour 😂

No foof checking till my sweep at 40 weeks last time.

I've just bought a second hand Stokke Xplory from eBay. It's a bit unecessary really, as dd's old pram still technically works ok. It's just really worn out looking. We've had to put black tape round the foam bit of the bumper which sits in front of her and the foot break is really stiff. That's my story and I'm sticking to it ! I think I'm going to give my old one to charity and start using the new one immediately for DD. It also comes with a free buggy board, which will be great for when the baby arrives, so it must be fate .

Just blood pressure and urine test at my 16 wk appt... so desperate for 20 wk scan, particularly because I haven't felt any movement yet and don't feel very "pregnant" at the moment (apart from visible bump!) - Was tempted to get a private one, but just over 2 weeks to wait now, so that seems a bit OTT...

Hi All! I'm a bit late but I'd love to join the thread - I'm due 9th January with my second baby, my DS is 2 years 4 months.
Private gender scan tomorrow - so excited! I've found this pregnancy a lot harder than last time but I'm putting it down to less sleep and less opportunity to rest!

Nooo foof check! Haha when I had my son I didn't get it out until I was in labour lol they used to check internally in ye olden days I think haha x

Hi laurelloves! Do you have any intuition about what you're having? I'm also due Jan 9th. Definitely agree about it being harder with a toddler. DS is also 2 and I feel exhausted by lunchtime. I can't imagine having a third any time in the next few years.

Anyone else just not feel pregnant AT ALL? I definitely felt pregnant with DS as I was sick everyday throughout but this time I've been fine since coming out of 1st trimester (another reason I'm convinced I'm having a girl this time).

I have energy, I'm eating normally, back to eating sweets and stuff... I actually forget I'm pregnant until I have to dress myself in the mornings and realise things don't fit anymore.

I'm having a girl Mills and am still sick so not sure that one follows! My bump "popped" out the other day which makes me actually feel pregnant but still no movement!

Everyone said I was having a girl when pregnant with DS as I was so unbelievably sick for so long. Then he was born a he!

I guess every pregnancy is different and even though I was seriously suffering in the 1st trimester I should count myself lucky it's stopped now.

I've definitely got some sort of a belly going on but still just look rather plump. I'm waiting for my "popping" moment!

I've got my 16 week appointment tomorrow and had a minor panic that I'd have to run to the beauty salon later!

Decaf fun you should say that I've been thinking about second hand prams as they are so expensive but fallen in love with a particular one so wanted to check out second hand. Not sure what to be aware of when buying second hand though?
