Best of luck Ru - hopefully nothing to worry about, but of course you're nervous.

I wouldn't worry too much thelostock, I'm sure we'll all do similar at some point. But check with your doctor or midwife if you're worried.

Anban · 31/07/2017 15:06

I am feeling warm and nauseated today. Have gone outside for my break (water and quavers) and not looking forward to going back inside to the stuff shop and shelving.

Just picked up a CB digital though so I can see it on the screen.

Babydreaming · 31/07/2017 15:32

Thelostsock try not to worry. Most of the foods they tell you to avoid are because they're more likely to give you food poisoning, which can be worse in pregnancy. If you feel okay it's unlikely to have done damage.

@mimi - wedding was great thanks. Everyone bought into my excuse about getting home to look after my baby! I think when you have a 7 month old ppl are less suspicious you'll be pregnant again..haha!

I've only done one cheap test so far. Last time I did loads and vowed this time not to waste my money. Really tempted to buy a clear blue one now though to see how many weeks!

Babydreaming · 31/07/2017 15:34

Do you think it's okay to just do telephone appt with GP? Last time they didn't do anything. Just referred me to my local hospital for booking appt and scans. They didn't even check a pregnancy test! Has anyone tried just doing telephone appt initially?

Parney · 31/07/2017 15:48

@RU hoping everything is ok with you and baby, great that you have your appointment this week.

@Mimi yes still BF, not sure how I feel about tandem feeding but I know I don't want to wean yet. That may change down the line but for the minute all is working well! Ah I'm so happy to hear you got telling DH, sorry about the nausea though. I felt queasy yesterday but nothing major!

@Thelo runny eggs are ok and the cheese would be fine if cooked? Don't be too hard on yourself, if you feel fine you probably are.

Congrats @anban it really is nice to see it on a digi! I was like @baby last time too, testing all the time! Addictive! I only stopped after GP appointment when he didn't even do a test.

Looking forward to dinner tonight with DH for our anniversary! I find it so hard not eating everything all the time, it's mad that the extra food we should be having only equates to a banana 🙈

Suziesome1 · 31/07/2017 16:17

Hi everyone, I'm Suzie, just got our positive test yesterday, so according to the NHS date estimater, baby's due 8/4. I've an 11 month old baby girl. Although we were trying, it was only our first month of trying, we only got married 3 weeks ago! Eliza took 15 months, and previous to her I had a fairly early mc at 6w+ so although excited, trying to not get too emotionally attached. Hope you all have incredibly dull pregnancy's and lovely healthy babies :)

InsomniacDormouse · 31/07/2017 17:00

@Ru Hope everything's OK, glad you're seeing the midwife.

@Suziesome Keeping fingers crossed for you Smile

I think I'm going to have to tell my mum the news. We're living with her at the moment before we move house and she's bound to notice I'm avoiding wine with dinner. I'd rather keep it quite for a bit longer. Have bought some elderflower cordial in the hope I can pass it off as white wine!

RU486 · 31/07/2017 17:09

Thanks everyone, keeping fingers crossed. Spotting seems to have stopped... crosses toes too!

itsascottishbaby · 31/07/2017 17:57

Hello Suziesome1 and congrats, nice to see an old "face"! I've namechanged but you will know who I am Grin

Parney I'm still breastfeeding nearly 1 year old too and don't want to stop for now Smile

Parney · 31/07/2017 18:10

@scottishbaby that's brilliant, I really want to get to a year at least. DS nearly 8 months so I'm doing all I can to keep my supply during pregnancy; oats, lots of water, feeding on demand. I know it can be hormonal so possibly out of my control!

Congrats @suzie! @insomniac I told my mum before she guessed! I'm a terrible liar!

Hopefulforbaby2 · 31/07/2017 18:48

Still waiting for my bfp. Today I'm 8dpo and should be able to get a bfp on tuesday. I'm 99.9% sure I'm pregnant. I had my implantation bleeding last week on cd22 and I'm doing exactly what I did with my dd pregnancy last year. Geez, these tests are killing me.

Thelostsock · 31/07/2017 21:31

Good luck @Hopefulforbaby2 for tomorrow's test

Thanks everyone for the reassurance and thank you (can't remember who) for the Expecting Better recommendation. It had arrived today so I flicked to the food chapter straight away and am feeling calmer!

As I said earlier in the week ... nightmare pregnant lady Confused

itsascottishbaby · 01/08/2017 00:05

Crossing fingers and toes for you @RU486

RU486 · 01/08/2017 06:03

Thank you @itsaacottishbaby
Only a half day at work then midwife tomorrow so trying to keep calm
@thelostsock don't worry too much about the food things, so many people don't find out they are pregnant this early and eat (and drink) as they usually would. Am sure you'll be fine x

Ruthisnice · 01/08/2017 10:34

Congratulations to all the new people Smile I hadn't checked the thread for a few days so I've just caught myself up.

RU I hope everything thing goes ok with the midwife and your spotting has died down - keeping my fingers crossed for you. I had spotting again over the weekend Sad slightly more than on Thursday (but still only spotting) so the midwife has referred me for an early scan. Trying to stay calm and not worry about it which is so difficult! Hopefully the scan will have good news...
Well done for surviving the weekend everyone!

Sam91TRS15 · 01/08/2017 12:31

Fingers crossed for you both ruth and RU, I hope your appointments go well. Xx

Sam91TRS15 · 01/08/2017 12:31

Fingers crossed for you both ruth and RU, I hope your appointments go well. Xx

Ruthisnice · 01/08/2017 12:44

Thanks Sam Star

RU486 · 01/08/2017 12:52

Thanks Sam and Ruth

Ruth, am sorry your going through this too. My spotting has become bright red and now I'm just waiting for the inevitable.
This is so rubbish Sad

Missuz · 01/08/2017 13:31

Definitely recommend an early scan if only to stop worrying plus I found it helped OH develop an early bond :)

Mimilicious013 · 01/08/2017 13:38

Sending you hugs @ruth and @Ru and have everything crossed for you ladies.

Babydreaming · 01/08/2017 14:15

Ruth and Ru I'm really sorry to hear that...hoping that all turns out to be okay!

I caved and did a clear blue digital test. I thought I would be 3+ as I'm 5w1d but the test came back as 2-3 weeks. Anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried it's a failing pregnancy?

itsascottishbaby · 01/08/2017 14:37

Baby, in my experience the week indicator isn't completely reliable. I'm holding off doing another one as I know I would worry if it only said '1-2' when I think I'm 5 weeks and therefore should say '2-3'. Perhaps wait a few days and do another one... it's such an anxious time isn't it!

Babydreaming · 01/08/2017 14:42

Scottish at 5 weeks shouldn't it say 3+? Or have I got confused!

FuzzyOwl · 01/08/2017 14:43

@Babydreaming I had this and it really worried me. The following day it was 3+. They are notoriously unreliable.
