Another vote for bad skin here. Although wasn't that great before I was preg tbh, was hoping the change in hormones would bring about the glow but sadly not!!

harrietm87 · 28/08/2017 08:29

Yep another one with bad skin here!! Though tbh it wasn't great to start with so don't think anyone would notice a difference!

And I've got so fat and bloated! It's bad enough when I wake up but then the bloating kicks in over the day and by the evening I'm massive! Really worried about seeing friends today - they're definitely going to notice!

WhyTheHeckMe · 28/08/2017 08:32

Morning ladies. I've been desperate to make it through to today as this now marks the day I miscarried at last time (5 weeks 4 days).
That morning I did a clearblue digi as things didn't feel right and the weeks had dropped to 1-2 so I knew. And within a few hours i was bleeding.

That was last month and I caught again immediately.

I'm now 5w 4d again and had to do the test again today. I've just got a 3+ and finally feel like I can start to relax slightly (although I never will fully).

I have to have an NHS scan next week to check how it's all going.

Loving seeing all of your scan pics! Hope you're all feeling well.

My dd is 26 April :)

fitbitbore · 28/08/2017 08:51

@Crapbags I'm 9.5 weeks with second dc so guess everything's a lot looser in there ha

@WhyTheHeckMe take it easy this week and try not to worry x

starsshinebright · 28/08/2017 09:17

@WhyTheHeckMe I know it's harder said than done but try not to worry, I'm currently going through the same worry after numerous miscarriages and wake up so worried every morning. Day by day it will get easier though.

Good luck with your upcoming scan Flowers

starsshinebright · 28/08/2017 09:18

I'm starting to also get quite bloated, when wearing my high waisted jeans I'm having to undo the button/ zip when I sit down or it's too uncomfortable Blush

Brand new to mumsnet, first time pregnancy, 7+3/4 days (waiting for our first scan to get dates confirmed).

So far not been so bad, exhaustion hit around 6 weeks, and massive decrease in appetite, but have improved a little this week. Have been sick a few times but in general not too bad.

Just thought it would be nice to have contact with people around the same stage as me 😊

northernlass81 · 28/08/2017 16:01

Hi ladies. A bit late to this party but please can I join? Got my BFP 10 days ago and 5+2 today so due around 28th April. I have a 2.5 yr old and had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks back in May so feeling anxious about this one. I definitely have more symptoms that the last failed pregnancy so I'm hoping things are going ok at the moment. Very sore boobs and waves of nausea in the morning, but only slight. I suffered awful MS with my first pregnancy and weirdly 'looking forward' to more sickness if it is a sign of things going as they are meant. Not phoned the midwife's yet - on my to do list but still feel like I'm getting over the very welcome shock of being pregnant again in only our 2nd month TTC. Xx

Becky3010 · 28/08/2017 16:10

Hi. New to mumsnet chat. Got a BFP at the weekend so I'm 5 weeks and one day. Worried as I had a previous missed mc before dd8 and then suspected ectopic a few years ago. Becoming addicted to POA and every twinge that it might happen again. Lines on test are very dark. X

olicat · 28/08/2017 16:49

Welcome to newcomers and sorry to those who've experienced mc. Fx for happy and healthy pregnancies! X

Thelostsock · 29/08/2017 10:34

Welcome to everyone getting their BFPs! And congrats to those who had weekends that needed surviving Smile

I went camping which was lovely aside from the nighttime trudges through a field to go to the loo, think that'll be the last camp now for a while

MaderiaCycle · 29/08/2017 11:46

Hi all,

Late entry from me. Took test agggggges ago and now 7+3 due 13th April. This is our first child and midwife appt is next week. Scan on 2nd October. Some days I have all the symptoms, some days none at all. Very nervous! Due to get married 31st March! (Oops!) and going to look at a potential bigger house on Thursday. So it is all go here. Think I will feel better after the scan.

SinkyMalinks · 29/08/2017 13:20

Hi, another late joiner. I'm about 6+4 with my second. First is 3.5 and I feels like I've forgotten all about babies (although the sleepless nights, poo explosions and bleeding nips all came flooding back once I'd got the bfp)

Am currently swinging between no symptoms and exhaustion with massive bloating/cramps, but none of the vomiting of last time... yet!

harrietm87 · 29/08/2017 13:25

Hi welcome new joiners!

I'm 7+5 today and just phoned to arrange my booking in appointment. I've been putting it off as feel like it might jinx things (I've had to cancel 3 of those after mcs) but then started to get worried I'd miss out on a scan date. My appointment will probably be for 2 weeks time when I'll be 9/10 weeks. Will that be enough time to get a 12 week scan organised?

boatrace30 · 29/08/2017 16:34

@harrietm87 it should be fine to organise a scan I think.

Thelostsock · 29/08/2017 17:20

Hi @harrietm87 I booked my 12 week scan today for 2.5 weeks time and had lots of slots to choose from

harrietm87 · 29/08/2017 19:32

Thanks boatrace and lostsock! I thought the scan would be booked at my booking in appointment with the midwife - is that not how it works? Or is it that you can't book it till after that? We have a big family reunion when I'm 12+4 so would be ideal to have had scan by then (fx make it that far) so can tell people, but not the end of the world if not!

MaderiaCycle · 29/08/2017 19:56

I called to book in and they gave me a scan date on the same call but that's in the Lothians. Might work differently else where x

JammyC · 29/08/2017 20:02

Sinky snap! My DD is 3.5 and the newborn phase seems soooo long ago!

Phoned my doctors today and it seems I have to see a doctor then get referred to a midwife for booking in. First doctor appointment available was 18th sept when I'll be 8 weeks so hoping the midwife appointment will follow quickly ready for scan booking!

Has anyone told their work yet? My job involves going to construction sites quite frequently so should tell my boss really, but don't want to jinx it

Thelostsock · 29/08/2017 20:04

@harrietm87 the midwife tried to book the scan when I was in my booking appointment but she couldn't get through. I said I'd do it so that I could pick a day and time that suited me!

kdshapton · 29/08/2017 20:11

Hi, We have the same due date... end April beginning of May! Congrats on your pregnancy xxx

kdshapton · 29/08/2017 20:13

Is anyone else feeling sick yet? I seem to be feeling it in the evening rather than the morning. Feeling very sorry for myself but so happy to be pregnant!!!

itsgoingtoofast · 29/08/2017 20:24

@kdshapton I am feeling absolutely horrendous! Between the constant nausea and total exhaustion I am a wreck. I have 2 kids and am really struggling to drag myself through, between working pt and looking after them! I don't remember it ever being this bad before. 9 weeks today, really hoping it starts to improve soon. So happy to be pregnant don't get me wrong, it's just so hard to function when all you want to do is sleep!

MissYeti · 29/08/2017 21:05

Well next week is going to be busy for us! Monday we've got our early scan and we received a phone call earlier saying our booking in appointment is on Wednesday! I'm so excited!

Hello newcomers! Hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies!

boatrace30 · 29/08/2017 21:25

@kdshapton - I'm also 9 weeks today and the nausea is relentless. It gets progressively worse through the day. Afternoon and evening is the worst. Hoping it eases off soon.

@harrietm87 in my area the midwife sends your details to the hospital of your choice after your booking appt and they book you in for a scan. They'll get you in before 13weeks to ensure you can get screening (if you want it)
