Wow @MrsDneedsaB great scan pic - baby looks huge! What's the CRL? Mine was 0.74cm at 6+4 and looked about half that size - it's amazing how quickly they grow!

I haven't booked in for the midwife yet. We can either self refer or go via our GP - need to do it this week! It was just so miserable having to cancel my booking in appt with my mcs that I've tried to leave it later this time. Maybe if I get a good scan on Wednesday (at 7+6) I will do it then.

Whoops! My mistake!

starsshinebright · 26/08/2017 17:07

Harriet sorry to jump in...
Mine measured 18.5mm CRL at 8+2. They do grow at an astonishing rate!

MrsDneedsaB · 26/08/2017 17:22

No worries starshine your little bean is measuring larger than mine. It's currently 1.65cm at 8+1 not quite sure of the growth rate at this stage....could it grow 2mm in a day?

starsshinebright · 26/08/2017 17:56

I think it's between 1-2mm a day, which would make sense!

starsshinebright · 26/08/2017 18:05

I've wanted sausage and mash all day, and now it's in front of me I can't stand the look or smell of it. I'm so disappointed.

Anyone else having food aversions already?

Finch82 · 26/08/2017 18:52

Well done on new people's BFPs! There is a FB group. Message LPMD directly with your email. She last posted a few days ago or so-you'll find her further down the thread. You can't direct message in the App, only on the website.

Finch82 · 26/08/2017 19:01

@MrsDneedsaB wow! What a scan pic! It actually looks like a little baby and you're only a week further along than me! I'm imagining my little blueberry becoming a baby over the next 7 days!

@starsshinebright food aversions-yes yes yes! My DH doesn't know what to do with me and my hormones are making me very emotional. He told me what we were having for dinner and I had to come upstairs, sit on our bed and sulk. I am never normally like this!!!

I find I eat something once and then the thought of eating it again makes me want to vomit! Trigger words for a dry retch: coffee, prawns, garlic, cannelloni, burger, wet (don't know why the last one is a thing). I retched when DH kissed me after brushing his teeth this morning because I don't like the toothpaste we have at the moment.

OuiMerci · 26/08/2017 19:10

No food aversions here yet but all day nausea is beginning to get boring. It goes when I eat so I feel like I'm constantly grazing.

6+5 today and bone tired!

itsgoingtoofast · 26/08/2017 20:49

I am feeling absolutely horrendous today, never known anything like it. Utterly exhausted, feel sick but acidic stomach making me want to eat. When I try and eat I feel worse! Major food and smell aversions. Went over a bump in the car today yelped because it hurt my boobs so much! 8+4 today and feel it's really ramped up

Crapbags · 26/08/2017 21:46

ouimerci I know how you feel about the all day nausea becoming boring I too felt the same from 6wks everydaySad now, I really don't want to jinx this, but I am starting to feel a bit better these past few days. I'm 9wks tomorrow, the nausea is still there but it comes and goes in waves usually worse for me from 5pm onwards though.

Crapbags · 26/08/2017 21:48

Finch82 I'm exactkyvthe same with foods at the moment sometimes I really fancy something I start to eat it and at first I think umm yes this is good then half way through I become repulsed by it?!? BizzareHmm

MissYeti · 27/08/2017 05:42

Had my first bout of nausea just after getting into bed last night...wasn't so pleased about it then but now I'm really excited cuz I have a symptom!!! Grin

FourForYouGlenCoco · 27/08/2017 08:13

Hi and congratulations to all the newbies! Good to see you on here Smile
And LOVING all these early scans! They all look fab, so amazing to think what's going on in there.
Have been keeping up with the thread but mostly lurking tbh.

Jammy with my last pg I went via the GP to refer me for an early scan about 7-8w (as it was pg #5 after a mmc, DD, mmc, mc) and then had my booking appt at about 9w once I was sure there was a baby in there and there might actually be a point to it.
Hoping to do the same this time - we're in a new area now so need to figure out how it all works here. Going to try and get an early scan in the next couple of weeks. Can't let myself get remotely excited yet - me and DH are barely even talking about it. Will feel sooooo much better if I know things are looking ok. Nausea is kicking in bigtime in the evenings and dinner is becoming a bad idea - got Chinese takeaway the other night and had to go to bed in DD's travel bands to try and stop me feeling like I was about to puke. Am permanently tired anyway (my little one still wakes up every night!) so no change there Grin

YorkieDorkie · 27/08/2017 08:37

@Thelostsock it's DC2 and it doesn't stop me being nervous!!! They are all delighted, I haven't seen my dad to tell him yet but will tell him this week!

RosesForBadgers · 27/08/2017 15:41

Here's my scan pic at 8w; I'm 9+2 now and feel so, so rough. Sick and really lightheaded, with a nasty taste in my mouth and a belly that is ravenous but nonetheless repulsed by all food. I can't wait to get past this bit! Roll on week 13...

The hardest bit is feeling ropey but not being able to discuss the reason why with most people! Sympathy to everyone feeling their symptoms. 6+1 and no sickness (hopefully not cause for concern?!) but im so bloody exhausted! Having a lie down every few hours which is totally not like me.

Aspenn17 · 27/08/2017 16:57

So I just about survived the hen do! Not going to lie it was really tough to hide the no drinking! Mocktails, chucking drinks down the loo, leaving them on random tables in the club seemed to work. The hardest bit was staying out dancing in heels until 4am- I was so tired and bloated and started feeling so sick at about 1am. Had to power through though as I am maid of honour!

@JennyM Designated driver is a good idea or just say you're off wine and on the G+Ts for the calories? (Then obv skip the gin!) @sunshinesaz how did the wedding go?

@harrietm- I'm falling asleep really early and then up at 5am everyday with multiple pee trips in between!

Anyone else struggling with their skin? I'm so spotty literally since pretty much day of conception!

Parney · 27/08/2017 17:26

@Aspenn I've actually had a few people commenting on my skin Hmm telling me it was the first time they've seen me with spots. I wish I could explain 😂 lots of little bumps on my forehead. Not good!

Sunshinesaz86 · 27/08/2017 19:05

Lovely scan pic fit and mrs

Thanks mimi the wedding was great. 2 corsets!! 😱 How did you breathe?

Good luck telling work parney I can't believe some of us are 9 weeks plus already! 😁

Sorry to all this with food aversions and nausea! Both are not nice!

Well I survived the wedding I snuck non alcoholic wine into my bag and was topping up my wine glass. Also virgin mojitos are amazing! Myself and DP both had one and no one could tell the difference (his had barcardi)! Did not enjoy the 4 hr drive home today tho.

Jenacles · 27/08/2017 21:10

Hi aspenn, yes! I'm getting massive spots on my chin. Really sore and nasty Sad

MissYeti · 27/08/2017 21:22

@RosesForBadgers lovely scan pic!

fitbitbore · 27/08/2017 21:34

I'm a spotty mess too. I also have a definite lower stomach ridge there's really no hiding this now!!! I've told loads of people cos I don't see the point in hiding it.

Crapbags · 28/08/2017 07:59

Yep got the bad skin here too loads of spots on forehead Sad and glad I'm not the only one with a definite 'bump' fitbitbore! Same as you've I've told most people as don't feel I can hide it anymore! How far along are you?
