7+1 in that scan

JammyC · 26/08/2017 07:29

Morning ladies, can I sneak on? Just got my BFP and think I'm due 30th April 😊

This will be #2 for us, we have a DD who is 3.5. Really valued the MN group for her in 2014 so hoping you lot will keep me sane for the next few months! We've been trying since Christmas so it's a very welcome BFP.

Poppyandpeaches · 26/08/2017 07:43

Here's mine. 6 weeks on the dot. Absolutely tiny but very clear heartbeat! :)

And congrats @jammyc!

harrietm87 · 26/08/2017 07:47

Lovely scan pics! Mine are really bad quality - not worth posting - though that hasn't stopped me staring at them loads!

Is anyone else having really disturbed sleep? I am SO tired, fall asleep early, but then wake up at 3/4am and then again at 6.30am (don't need to get up until 7.45 during the week and could have had a lie in today!). It's annoying as I think I need the sleep!

Sunshinesaz86 · 26/08/2017 07:54

Congrats on all the lovely scan pics ladies.

And welcome and congrats to you all who've just joined! Can't believe they'll be a thread for May babies starting any day!

I'm 8+1 today and keep swinging between panic as I feel I have no symptoms, then heaving thinking that's better maybe I do! Scan a week today and it cannot come quick enough.

I've got a wedding tonight so will be pretending to drink. I think this is my last doo now before 12 weeks and we can tell people. How I'm going to hide my massive bloat on the other hand is another story! 🙄

Hope everyone has a great weekend x

fitbitbore · 26/08/2017 08:22

Congrats on all the scans guys. Here's mine from the other week I measured 7 plus 1. I think I'm around 9 now. I was give Edd of 1st April. April fools 😂

Morning ladies
Congrats and welcome to all who just got their bfpsFlowers

Wow ,how lovely to see all your scan pictures.it's amazing how someone is growing behind the scenes. I wanted to wait until the 12w scan but now I am so tempted to book for an early scan.

Enjoy the wedding @sunshine.hope noone catches onWink.haha on hiding the bloat. I had a hard time yesterday, wearing my stretch dress. Had to wear 2 corsets🙈 .

Today I couldn't stand the smell of everything. Not even my bubble bath. Grrr

Have a great weekend everyone

Parney · 26/08/2017 08:41

I fell off the thread and just catching up! Wow so many fabulous pictures, mine feels like so long ago now. I've been to the GP who has submitted all my paperwork so just waiting on a date for 12 week scan. I'm 9 weeks today and can't believe we'll potentially be telling people in three weeks!!! I'm back to work this week after maternity leave so telling them will be an experience.

MrsDneedsaB · 26/08/2017 08:46

@harrietm87 last night was the worst night for me so far, getting up every 3 hours to pee and then being awake rolling around in pain from major bloat that suddenly started at 3am. Got so bad I gave up and went downstairs for 2 hours until it passed.

Lovely scan pics ladies, hopefully I have another one to add to the pile later today!

I have a wedding to go to next weekend, thankfully I'm one of the random guests so will not need to do any explaining to anyone I can just say I'm teetotal - phew!

MissYeti · 26/08/2017 09:04

Look at all the little jeans! Oh my gosh I'm so excited to see mine!! 9 days to go!

@harrietm87 I had insomnia for around 11 days after my bfp! I've only had better sleep for the last 2-3 nights! Its horrendous but it does go away, promise!

boatrace30 · 26/08/2017 09:25

Yes to disturbed sleep here 🙁.
I'm sure it's your bodies way of preparing you for a baby. Either way I'm kissing goodbye to a full nights sleep for probably the next 18months at best!

MissYeti · 26/08/2017 09:49

Haha just realized my phone autocorrected beans to jeans! What a fail

olicat · 26/08/2017 09:52

Lovely scan pics, I've booked mine for a week today when I'll be 7 weeks exactly, so excited/nervous!

My sleep is so patchy now, and my crazy dreams are getting worse. The one last night felt like it went on for hours!

Finch82 · 26/08/2017 10:12

@MissYeti we won't be wearing little jeans for long!

Jenacles · 26/08/2017 10:22

Ahhhh loving all the scan photos! So excited for everyone. It's crazy to think something so tiny will become a new born baby!

JammyC · 26/08/2017 14:07

Only just 4 weeks according to my dates so far to early to tell people but we are staying with family this weekend and at a wedding next weekend both occasions people will expect me to drink. Also both groups of people are anxiously awaiting news of another baby, so will be suspicious if I tell them a story. How do I handle it? Tell them or pretend I'm on antibiotics?! Anyone got a good cover story?!

With DD we went for an early scan at 6 wks but this time think I will try to hold out until 12wks. Love all the little bean pics though! Makes it so real!

Those who are on second or third pregnancies, when did you book in at GP/midwife?

FairfaxAikman · 26/08/2017 14:20

No one buys he anti-biotic thing.
Either be a designated driver, or get DH to buy the "drinks". "G&T" comprising of tonic, "rum and Coke" is just Coke.

JammyC · 26/08/2017 14:20

Also is there a Facebook group set up or are we sticking on mn for now? I just find Facebook easier to keep up with!

@sexlubeandafishslice mines in the hands of my gp. Gotta wait for the midwife to call me. Maybe its because its your second? Could always phone up again and ask

boatrace30 · 26/08/2017 15:09

Round here you don't see the midwife till 8weeks, and you never see the GP. There really isn't anything they can do much sooner.

@JammyC , I agree antibiotics never works, fake drinks or driving is the best bet. Maybe also tell a close friend/family member or two so you have allies. Just someone you'd maybe share it with anyway if things went wrong.

FairfaxAikman · 26/08/2017 15:25

I phoned at 4 weeks and my first appointment was booked in for 8 weeks, with a scan at just over 12 weeks.

MrsDneedsaB · 26/08/2017 15:26

Today's scan pic Smile

Measuring 8+1 and by LMP should be 8+5 so not a terrible date change.

In my borough you don't see the GP at all but you do have to go through the surgery to book your midwife appointment. You can book as soon as you get your bfp but you won't be seen til 8-10 weeks.
