I have just got my BFP and going to be due at the very end of March or start of April.

Anyone else?

Glad it's not just me @Poppyandpeaches, It's annoying too that it doesn't mean the bloating goes down. I told my parents at the weekend and my mum said her sickness kicked in with force at about 8 weeks. The same as I am now and definitely think it's getting worse. Was told to go home today because I looked rough, will need to wear more makeup tomorrow!

olicat · 21/08/2017 20:19

So I'm pretty annoyed - was offered a choice of hospital and doctor referred me to my preferred one. Then today (only 3 days later) I've been sent an appointment for the hospital I categorically don't want to have my care at. Anyone else had anything like this? Going to ring up tomorrow, feel really stressed about it!

MrsDneedsaB · 21/08/2017 20:33

Oh no olicat I'd be pretty pee'd off too! Hopefully it's just a mix up and they can get it all sorted out soon

olicat · 21/08/2017 22:06

Yes hopefully! I got way too upset about it but going to blame that on hormones haha.

harriet welcome and glad things are looking good!

LivLemler · 21/08/2017 23:22

olicat my care is based out of one hospital, but I'll have most appointments in outpatients at a local community hospital. Could it be something like that? Definitely ring up and ask, hopefully it can be sorted.

Mimilicious013 · 22/08/2017 08:00

Congratulations and welcome @harriet

Sorry for that @olicat , hope it can be rectified hun.

Sorry you are feeling worse @thelost. I was like that with my last pregnancy. it never got better. Hope you will have more energy in the second trimester.

How is everyone doing? I feel so exhausted and need a nap every 2-3hours. Tempted to poas again lol

MissYeti · 22/08/2017 08:25

@mimilicious013 I'm the exact opposite of you :) I'm lucky if I get 2-3 hours a night and I'm not tired at all during the day!
21dpo today and still poas! Its hard not to when there are no other symptoms...

Bumpkin21 · 22/08/2017 08:37

London ladies - I'm so paranoid about bumping into a colleague that I'm not getting a badge until 12 weeks. I've been quite lucky getting a seat, but currently staying on a 30 minute tube ride :( Anyone getting a badge earlier?

harrietm87 · 22/08/2017 08:38

Thanks mimi! I'm exhausted too. Also having extreme cravings for oranges and orange juice, and I've completely gone off chocolate which is extremely unlike me!

Anyone else had any food cravings/aversions yet?

Jenster17 · 22/08/2017 09:37

@Bumpkin21 I've decided to wait til 12 weeks for my badge. Boiled sweets are really helping the nausea feeling on my hot smelly tube commute for now.

I have booked an early scan. So hard to believe it's real and I think it would give me peace of mind to see this little bean before going to Greece at the weekend! I'm booked in on Thursday afternoon - I will be 6+4. Has anyone else had one this early?!

harrietm87 · 22/08/2017 09:44

jenster I've had scans at 5+5 and 6+4. The first one I could see the yolk sac and a tiny embryo with a flickering heartbeat. At 6+4 (yesterday) the embryo looked like a wriggly blob (was 0.74cm) and the heartbeat was strong - 120bpm. Good luck!

Sunshinesaz86 · 22/08/2017 09:44

Hi ladies, sorry I've been a bit awol lately! Congrats to everyone who's just joined!

My heaviness has turned up a notch this week I'm 7+4 I got to 8+4 last time, I'm taking symptoms as a good sign! Tried to book an early scan but they've got nothing till mid Sep (close to when my 12 week one will be) so unless I look to travel further and pay more I may have to wait! 😩

Has anyone noticed that you feel more sick/heavy after taking pregnancy vits? I have to eat within 5 mins of taking them in the morning otherwise I feel dreadful and start heaving/retching immediately! 🤢

Sam91TRS15 · 22/08/2017 09:53

sunshine, what vitamins are you taking? I've heard the pregnacare ones can be bad for that. Maybe try a different brand? I got ones from the midwife, but I'm not sure if that's just a Scottish thing

Jenster17 · 22/08/2017 09:56

@Sunshinesaz86 I found that and then starting taking them with my evening meal instead and found that really helped. My sickness is worse in the morning and I don't think those pills helped!

@harrietm87 Amazing! Hoping for a nice strong heartbeat on a Thursday 🤞🏻

MissYeti · 22/08/2017 10:19

sunshine I take pregnacare as soon as I've had breakfast, they're recommended to be taken on a full stomach.

olicat · 22/08/2017 10:31

sunshine I echo what other people have said, I find taking vits after dinner much better - felt rotten when I had them first thing!

So hospital issue is tentatively sorted - Bizarrely I was booked into two hospitals and had appointments for both! When I rang up my preferred one they had an appointment booked for me but said they'd had trouble with letters not being sent out. So just cancelled the other one. Very odd!

Thelostsock · 22/08/2017 10:42

@Sunshinesaz86 I've found I'm really struggling with evening meals at the moment, and can't take them in the morning due to nausea like others have mentioned. I take them with lunch and lots of water and that seems to be the best for me. I've also found taking them at lunchtime reduces the number of times I wake in the night, but that might just be the pregnancy progressing.

Thelostsock · 22/08/2017 10:43

Oh and I'm waiting till 12 weeks for the badge too, a colleague forgot to take hers off one morning so that was her announcement to the office

Jenster17 · 22/08/2017 10:47

That's my fear @Thelostsock Not ready to tell the world just yet and can totally imaging myself doing that!

Aspenn17 · 22/08/2017 11:16

@thelostsock that's exactly what I'm scared about doing!

So bloody confused- Just booked my scan for a couple of weeks time (yay!) told the lady my LMP (8th July) and cycle 33days and she said I was 5+6? How has she figured that out? I thought I was 6+3!?

boatrace30 · 22/08/2017 11:38

@Aspenn17 - as your cycle is longer than average you'll have ovulated later so hence pregnancy is less far along. Using LMP for dates isn't hugely accurate, especially if you do t have a 28day cycle. I'd not worry too much as you'll only get an accurate date when you have 12week scan.

As for pregnancy vits I take boots own brand. A bit cheaper than pregnacare and they have ginger extract which is meant to help.

To be fair I'm feeling sick 24/7 so not saying they work!

I'm looking after a six week old to help out a friend today and also have my two year old. It's scaring me a bit!! Have resorted to Peppa pig to keep my toddler quiet!!

Polliver · 22/08/2017 11:49

Hi everyone! I know I'm a bit of a latecomer, and I think DC1 will only be due in April 2018. By my calculations it will be 28th...but Im not a massively 'on time' sort of person, and I have an inkling that my body will be the same way Grin I'm currently 4 and a half weeks, is anyone about the same? X

Polliver · 22/08/2017 11:57

@LPMD I'd like to join the April Facebook group Smile nobody can see that I'm in it though, right?

MissYeti · 22/08/2017 12:04

@polliver ive just hit 5 weeks today, due 24th :) congratulations on your bfp

Polliver · 22/08/2017 12:16

@MissYeti thanks! It's nice to be able to talk to other people who are due around the same time. I'm so overexcited, I've poas most days since bfp, just so I can see it again Blush have you had any symptoms yet? DH is finding it amusing to have a wife that burps so much
