@polliver haha I'm still poas too, it's so nice to see line progression! No symptoms! Its driving me a bit nuts waiting for something to happen. Theres a discussion a few pages back where the ladies were saying when they started getting symptoms if that'll help put your mind at rest :)

crispydumpling · 22/08/2017 12:49

Had an early scan last week and saw the heartbeat. I'm still finding it hard to believe that I'm pregnant, the only symptoms I have are nausea which comes and goes and a really strong hankering for pickled jalapeños!

So different to my last pregnancy where the hyperemesis started just before 4 weeks and lasted until I was induced. Just as well though, don't think I could cope with hyperemesis again with a 5 month old baby to look after.

@crispydumpling congrats! And that is a super weird craving...I didn't even know you could pickle jalapenos!
Thank goodness you're feeling better this pregnancy, fx it stays good for you!!

Sunshinesaz86 · 22/08/2017 13:12

Thanks for all your input on the vits ladies! I may see if it's better me taking them in the evenings instead.

thelo can't believe your friend forgot to take her badge off! What a nightmare bet she was mortified 😱.

Well all you scan talk made me decide to book one.... so I'm booked a week sat 2/9 and I'll be 9+1 my last pregnancy got to 8+4 so fingers crossed all will be well with this little bean! I just cannot stand the thought of getting to 12 week scan again only to be told there's no HB and the reality hitting of not being pregnant the whole time as you thought u were? Let's hope I have a healthy bean on board this time. 🤞

Great scan pic crispy glad all is well and that your not experiencing sickness like last time!

olicat · 22/08/2017 13:23

lostsock what a nightmare, can't believe your colleague did that 🙈

All these early scans are making me so tempted to get one...

Finch82 · 22/08/2017 13:29

@crispydumpling hurrah! I was wondering how you were! Cute pic! Congratulations xxx

LPMD · 22/08/2017 13:32

Hi @polliver! No it's secret :-) DM me your email and I'll add you :-)

Jenster17 · 22/08/2017 14:32

@Polliver me too! My husband cannot believe how much I'm burping. Proper loud old man burps. It's not me it's the baby....

@LPMD would love to join the Facebook group - how do I DM you?!!!

@crispydumpling congrats on the scan! 😊 Time is going to go so slowly for me until I have mine on Thurdsay!!

YorkieDorkie · 22/08/2017 15:20

Gahhh repeat blood tests for ferritin levels needed 🙄 I'm often a bit on the anaemic side so I assume it's that.

LPMD · 22/08/2017 15:38

@Jenster17 - There is an option to DM me somewhere, not sure where... ?

Finch82 · 22/08/2017 15:45

@Jenster17 and @LPMD

If your are using the mumsnet talk App I'm not sure there is a facility for pming other members. I went to the website and, if you click on a post, it should come up with a number of options-to reply, to report, etc. One should be to PM member. Hope this helps.

Aspenn17 · 22/08/2017 18:34

Congrats @crispydumpling! Great picture and glad you're feeling ok! Sorry if you've already said this but how far along are you in that scan?

Mine is on the 4th, all being well we are going to tell our parents a few days after. So hard speaking to my mum and best friend on the phone and not telling them! So nice to have this group to talk about it and hear how everyone else is getting on!

Best friends hen do this weekend then wedding 2 weeks after that, really hope no one guesses. Wonder how long the 'im on antibiotics' excuse is going to work for.... Anyone else got any tricky events coming up?

Sunshinesaz86 · 22/08/2017 19:11

aspen I had a hen do a couple of weeks back for the whole weekend. I took two bottles of non alcoholic wine and poured it into normal wine bottles and didn't share it 🙈😂. I also accepted drinks pretended to sip out of them poured them down the loo. And then ordered mocktails by myself at the bar! Worked a treat!

Bumpkin21 · 22/08/2017 19:20

Welcome polliver!

@sunshine - pregnacare made me feel ill, but I now take Seven Seas which are much better. They have added ginger which is supposed to reduce nausea too.

boatrace30 · 22/08/2017 20:58

Another wedding trick is to swap wine glasses with someone in the know as they empty them.
Tonic on its own can also easily pass as a G&T.
Not sure the "antibiotics" excuse cuts if with many people!

harrietm87 · 22/08/2017 21:38

I've tried the tonic one but got totally rumbled the other day when my friend swooped in to pay for my drink after I'd ordered. She actually queried the barman when he said it'd be £1.20 as obv that's way too cheap for a g&t and he told her it was just a tonic! She didn't say anything to me but blatantly knows...

Otherwise I've just been accepting drinks and then not drinking them. I think that's less obvious than announcing you're not drinking with some kind of excuse- they always sound made up/forced to me!

boatrace30 · 22/08/2017 21:40

Argh that's unlucky @harrietm87 . Damn those generous friends! 😂

Crapbags · 22/08/2017 22:03

Hi all
Just found the thread again after it dropped out of my 'threads I'm on' box. By my calculations I'm about 8wks with DC #3 I'm just wondering if any one else has a noticeable bump yet? I'm really worried about how big mine is alreadyShock I'm sure I look over three months gone....I go back to work in 2weeks and just don't see how I can hide it-I was going to wait till scan before saying anything. My scan is 25th Sept so not too far away.

How's everyone else's bumps coming along?

MissYeti · 23/08/2017 01:08

God I wish I could sleep :'( had a 'nap' this afternoon where I probably slept for 30 minutes or so and now I am not sleepy at all and I can't get comfortable :( been like this for 10 days now, really could do with a good night's sleep...

Aspenn17 · 23/08/2017 06:49

Thanks for the tips sunshine and boatrace-warned DH he's going to be drinking all my drinks at the wedding as well as his! 😬 I agree harrietm87, antibiotics might seem a bit of an obvious excuse but just worried about shots! How do I get out of that one!!

No bump at all for me yet @crapbags but I'm a couple of weeks behind you, definite bloat though the only time my stomach looks flat is first thing.

What's everyone doing in terms of exercise, are you carrying on as before? I know it's safe to carry on, I used to run a 5k about 3x per week with a friend at work so if I don't start running with her again I think she might guess, my DH says just do it whilst I can, but I'm so tired all the time, not in the mood to run at all! I walk a mile to the train and then back again everyday and swim at the gym so it's not like I'm doing nothing.

Mimilicious013 · 23/08/2017 06:55

So sorry @miss, I am the total opposite. I tend to go to the loo often at night but I have no trouble falling asleep again. I'm up at 5.30 though.

@crap, I am a plus size and have always had a tummy so it's going to be really hard for people to know. I don't feel any bigger yet except a little bloated and fuller when I eat.

Welcome @polliver

Congrats @crispy, can't wait to see my little bean too.@jen, one more day to goSmile.

Fingers crossed all will be well for you @sunshine.

@parney, hope you are okay, you have been mia!

Hope everyone else slept well. Have a good day.

boatrace30 · 23/08/2017 08:18

@Crapbags - I also look quite far gone at different parts of the day but pretty sure it's just bloating.
@MissYeti I know what you mean about sleep. I can get to sleep quite easily but if I'm disturbed by anything in the night I struggle to get back to sleep. But last night I took a deflatine before bedtime and I think it really helped.

@Aspenn17 , I've stopped all exercise as I had bleeding in my first pregnancy and was told to stop, even though this pregnancy has been fine I haven't dared!! I kind of wish I did dare though as I think it would make me feel better.

MrsDneedsaB · 23/08/2017 08:25

@Crapbags I'm sure it's just bloat at this early stage, they do say you have a bump earlier in your 2nd pregnancy than your first but I still wouldn't say it's as early as 8 weeks. I am mega bloated so my tummy is sticking out but I know it can't be anything more than that as bubba is about the size of a raspberry lol

Is anyone around the 8 week mark and having cramps? Mine started last night, they were more intense cos I also had gas Blushlovely but they're still around today. Wondering if I should be concerned or if some kind of cramping around now is to be expected....I know the baby is growing a lot the next few weeks so I'm hoping it's that!

MrsDneedsaB · 23/08/2017 08:50

Also @Crapbags I'm not sure if you were ever a fan of Friends but I find your name hilarious and feel like I wanna change mine to Princess Consuela BananaHammock 😂😂

Crapbags · 23/08/2017 08:56

Thanks ladies I think it probably is mostly bloating as it's gets worse from around 5-6pm until bedtime when I swear I look 5-6 monthsShock and yep I keep thinking 'but it's the size of a raspberry how can this be?!'

MrsD I've had some mild cramping which I put down to the wind/bloating, when do you see the midwife perhaps you could mention it to her? Sure it's pretty normal though.
