Can I join? I am 7+1 today, had an early scan last week and saw a little heartbeat Smile my due date is 1st April!

Testar0ssa · 14/08/2017 11:03

Morning all,
I reckon I'm 7 weeks today, and the super sensitive nose has arrived. I walked past a world food cafe this morning and the smell of fish sauce stayed with me the entire length of the road...

moregingerbreadplease · 14/08/2017 11:11

Testar I have this badly - anything pickled I can't stand! Have also gone off tea Sad

Sam91TRS15 · 14/08/2017 11:23

I have gone off tea too, which is disappointing! I love tea.. And the nose thing, it's so annoying, I've had it since before BFP and I hate opening up the fridge. Partner says it smells fine but eugh, I can't cope.
I'm also 7 weeks today, a week and a half to go until my early scan!
Congrats stonesour, sounds like a really exciting wait to find out if it's one or two!

Stonesourfangirl · 14/08/2017 12:24

Thanks Sam! Am feeling pretty rough today, the only thing that keeps the nausea at bay is a steady stream of food... I'll be as big as a house at this rate Blush

MrsMalone90 · 14/08/2017 12:26

Hi everybody,

I've been reading this thread since yesterday trying to catch up. Grin Congratulations to everyone on their bfps and scans.

Joining cautiously as I got my BFP last Wednesday but it was faint, took 2 tests on Friday with faint but pink lines, one on Saturday had another faint line Grin took a clear blue digital yesterday and got the positive apparently 2-3 weeks post conception with is bang on as I'm between 4+1 and 5+1 today ,I have irregular cycles between 28 and 35 days so my EDD will be between the 15th and 22nd of April.
I also took a line test (sorry I'm not sure of the lingoGrin) this morning and the line is darker so fingers crossed this one sticks, I had an early miscarriage in November last year so I'm trying not to get too excited.
Feeling a tad nauseous and light headed today. This is baby number 5 by the way Blush other dcs are 10, 9, 7 (all from a previous relationship) and 13 months! This will definitely be the last Grin

I have the same issue with my nausea stonesour, carby unhealthy stuff is def the best keeping it at bay. Trying not to eat as much as my first pregnancy cos I gained at least 4 stone...
Mrsmalone, welcome! I had an mmc in may so I've been struggling with the worry, I'm just hoping the nausea is a good sign as I didn't have it with the mmc. Can't wait to get a scan! 5 kids is impressive! I have 1 DSS and 1 DD, and I think one more will be enough for me! (Although I didn't want to be pregnant again ever after DD, so will wait and see!)

olicat · 14/08/2017 13:20

Poppy - I'm feeling anxious too as it's my first pregnancy. Feel positive but hoping to get to the 12 week scan and then I'll relax a bit (maybe). I definitely didn't spend yesterday googling buggies... 🙃

olicat · 14/08/2017 13:21

Also general congrats to everyone who has recently found out they're expecting!

Poppyandpeaches · 14/08/2017 13:29

I'm the same olicat! One minute freaking out, one minute planning my mat leave! Can't wait for the scan to hopefully get some reassurance - I really want to enjoy this in case we don't have another but I'm a mess just now! Xx

MrsDneedsaB · 14/08/2017 14:07

Sam and Stonesfour I am the same with the nausea! If I eat it goes away a bit but it's gotta be carby which is terrible - and Sam I also didn't have it with my MMC so fingers crossed for both of us!!

Have bought ginger biscuits today, I wonder if the ginger will actually work.

Am either 7w or 6+3 today, I'm going to go with 7 and think that maybe in the scan it was just a little on the small side - it's only 4 days difference and I'm pretty sure the due date is going to change at every scan I have!

So bloated today already looking about 7 months preggo 😂 can't hold my gut in!

Congrats to all the new bfps!

batfish · 14/08/2017 14:34

MissYeti please don't worry about flying, I live overseas so flew a few times during my first pregnancy including both very early (

Jenster17 · 14/08/2017 16:49

Hello ladies! Nice to meet you all Grin I got my BFP 10 days ago after first month TTC. Due date is 15th April which is also our first wedding anniversary! It's still sinking in.....! Anyone else feeling sick, shattered and STARVING?! Also went to see my GP today, he didn't test again to confirm I'm definitely pregnant and just sent a form off to my local hospital - was a total anti climax! Anyone else had that? Xx

MissYeti · 14/08/2017 17:41

@batfish thank you, that puts my mind at rest!

Speechiebaby · 14/08/2017 18:16

lulupopsted · 14/08/2017 20:03

5+3 today Smile

lulupopsted · 14/08/2017 20:04

Merowdiff · 14/08/2017 21:04

Bleurgh! Made the most of feeling like eating today and had a lovely sea bass tonight. Pesto and garlic now repeating on me and making me never each time I burp! 😮

starsshinebright · 14/08/2017 22:05

Is anyone else suffering from Hyperemesis? I've just got home from the second time of being admitted due to dehydration. I'm constantly vomiting. It is so draining.

Anban · 14/08/2017 23:24

I fell very lucky to not have been hit with much nausea yet. Had the odd wave, mostly when I have been rushed off my feet at work amd a bit dehydrated. My main symptoms are tiredness and sore boobs. God i want to rip them off- especially at night. Does anyone else find that? Its like after I have been horizontal for an hour they get super painful and swollen. Turning over or getting up to pee is horrendous, but it subsides really quickly in the am. Am actually wearing a croptop bra thing tonight to see if that helps.

Convinced DH to get an early scan so will be booking one for next week st which point I will be 7 and a half weeks. Eeek so exciting!
How were all your early scans? My edd is currently 5th April, I am interested to see how this might change (hoping that bean will actually end up arriving in March. We have too many April birthdays as it is!)

Mimilicious013 · 15/08/2017 06:12

Congratulations to all who just got their bfps.

Oh @stones, that must be exciting. Fx for a twin Wink.food has become my speciality too and I wonder how big l will be by the end of this pregnancy.

Congrats @mrsmalone, this will be my 5th too but my kids are a lot older.

Excited for your scans next week @anban and @sam.l still can't make up my mind when I want to have one. I am trying sooo hard to wait as long as I can. That way the 1st trimester will have gone.

@stars, sorry you are not feeling well. Hope it gets better soon. I am so surprised that I am not as sick as long was the last time. My only symptoms are tiredness, bloating and dizziness which are not so bad because I get to nap any time of the day.

Wow @lulu, l am green with envy at your nap.

@mrsd, you could try to sniff on orange peels. It works for nausea.

Hope everyone has a great day Flowers

LivLemler · 15/08/2017 08:18

Oh stars, you poor thing. That sounds awful. I hope it eases for you soon, are they able to give you anything to help with the sickness?

NickMyLipple · 15/08/2017 08:21

I had a row with the doctors surgery yesterday and ended up writing a complaint to the practice manager - I wanted to make an appointment with the midwife - the woman gave me a date of next week and then suddenly remembered that I had to go into the surgery to fill in a form before I'm allowed the appointment. I explained that I leave the house at 6.30 every morning and return at 6.30 every evening and that I couldn't come and get it- I asked if someone else could go on my behalf and she said no, I had to present and complete in person! I asked her if I really had to take a half day of annual leave (which I can't take during school holidays and need to give 4 weeks notice for) to collect the form and she said yes - and anyway I would have to have time off for the appointment, wouldn't I?!

My booking appointment with the midwife is very different to having to have half a day off to get a bit of paper and put a squiggle on the bottom of it!

I sent an email to the practice manager and asked why they were penilising working mothers - to - be, and amazingly she replied and said she shares my concern and she's put the form on the website and attached a copy for me and will retrain all the staff giving patients the option of printing off the internet and returning at their leisure!

I was chuffed with that! And I now have a copy of the stupid form I need to complete before my booking appointment :)

Sunshinesaz86 · 15/08/2017 09:06

Omg nick I worked as a GP receptionist before DS was ill and I swear some give others a bad name. Some of them are on such a power trip it really grinds my gears.
Why don't they just use their common sense or appreciate some people circumstances aren't straight forward! Glad u got it sorted in the end!

Welcome to everyone who's just joined and congrats on your bfp's!!

Sorry your suffering stars.

I've got my booking appointment today going to ask about an early scan following MMC in Feb but I doubt they'll agree then I'll look at private in another couple of weeks, i got to 8+4 last time so maybe around 9 weeks would be good. X

Soci · 15/08/2017 10:16

Hi all, looking forward to being part o this group. I had the first BFP a week ago and another one yesterday. I reckon I'm probably about 4-5 weeks now so apparently due end of April 2018.No symptoms yet so I've been lucky as no nausea or tiredness etc. Otherwise mixed feelings, one minute I'm ecstatic and other minute I'm thinking about all the potential things that could go wrong. Anyways, I hope we all get to enjoy a smooth pregnancy, trauma-less birth and happy little babies next year!
