Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday x

pinkie87 · 12/08/2017 17:27

Thanks ladies. Sorry to those of you that are having difficult times. 😔

I did send a message with my email in but don't think I've been added to the fb group?

cottagerose · 12/08/2017 18:33

So shocked. Have just got bfp, after two years of trying to conceive and having just turned 40. This will be my first and I didn't think it was going to happen. My partner is away until Tuesday so I have no one to tell. Only had appointment at fertility clinic last week and partner has had his tests done too, feeling so incredibly lucky that this has happened naturally. Conceived on holiday in Italy where we were taking a bit of time out from all the opks and trying. I am worried about the amount of spritzs and glasses of wine I had and am annoyed with myself as I have been so good and not really drank all the rest of the time we have been trying. Still early days but feels really lovely to tell someone and I cant wait for partner to come home. Congratulations to everyone else who's expecting.

Finch82 · 12/08/2017 19:02

Big congratulations to those with recent BFPs! And for those of you concerned about drinking right before getting your result, my BFP came right after getting back from my Honeymoon, which was not a dry affair! Confused

My pregnancy hormones just got the better of me when I read this week's "A Letter to.." in the Guardian. It's not for everybody but might be a comfort to those who sadly leave this group or those who have lost before:

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/aug/12/a-letter-to-the-kind-stranger-who-shared-her-grief-with-me?CMP=ShareiOSAppp_Other

I thought it was really poignant and beautiful.

Hope everybody is okay and having a lovely weekend growing beans xxx

At a wedding and so far had two people ask me when we are having babies/am I pregnant cos I am not drinking. Angry why do peope think it is any of their buisness.

In ither news, man weddings are boring when you are sober.

Congrats to all our newbies! We are looking at a lot of April babies if we all stick!

pinkie87 · 12/08/2017 20:03

Anban, I have a wedding on 2nd september. Was planning on getting quite drunk. My work colleague that is also going is totally going to guess!!!

Congratulations cottagerose! I got very drunk a week before i found out i was pregnant with my son 3 years ago. All was well. I think it happens to so many people.

God I sound like a right lush Blush I'm not i swear!

LinzLinz · 12/08/2017 20:22

Congrats @cottagerose it's so good to be able to chat on here! I don't know how you'll wait until Tuesday!

cottagerose · 12/08/2017 20:41

Thank you for the congrats. I am dying to tell someone, didn't get much response from the dog. Just spoke to my oh but didn't tell him, thinking about a nice way to surprise him on Tuesday.

LivLemler · 12/08/2017 21:02

Congratulations to all the new joiners! Especially those of you who've had a long journey to get here, delighted for you guys in particular.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 12/08/2017 23:10

Hi all, just peeping in here. After a couple of days of frustratingly faint lines on rubbish tests, I finally got a BFP on a FRER this evening! Will be 4 weeks tomorrow. Have had 2 mmc and a mc though so feeling pretty anxious and will probably lurk for a while. If all goes well this will be baby 3 - my other 2 have just turned 5 and 1. Currently keeping everything crossed! Haven't told DH yet - me and the kids are away til Wednesday without him - will just see what happens til then. Due date coming up as April 22nd, not long after my birthday - my second baby was exactly a week early so i could well end up spending my birthday having a baby Grin lots of milestones to cross first though!

boatrace30 · 13/08/2017 08:30

Hi all, I did come on right at the start then went on holiday and sort of lost touch with the thread! I'm 6+5 and think I'm due on the 3rd April.

Having a scan on Wednesday which I'm quite eager for. Still haven't managed to get a midwife appointment though as the system here is fill in a form and wait for them to get in touch... that system doesn't seem to be working!!

To all those who are worried about drinking we'd just had our first appointment with a fertility consultant who prescribed (I'm not lying) Clomid, wine and sex! We never used the Clomid in the end as I got pregnant on my final normal cycle but I did relax my non drinking regime! I'm sure stress plays such a big part and I got pregnant as I knew I had Clomid to. And somehow felt I wasn't trying so hard that month.

But anyway I really wouldn't worry too much about a few drinks around the time of conception and just after.

Congratulations to all the new bfps and very very sorry to those who've already lost their pregnancies.

olicat · 13/08/2017 09:18

Hi, 4+1 today, EDD around 20th April all going well. Can't believe it and quite nervous, seems bloody forever to wait until 12 weeks!

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 13/08/2017 12:54

Been working in the garden all morning as we are getting a new fence and I am beat 😴
Is it nap time yet

MissYeti · 13/08/2017 16:43

tentatively saving a spot on this threat. Got a faint positive this morning so testing again with fmu tomorrow.

According to ovia pregnancy app my due date is 24th April

Suziesome1 · 13/08/2017 16:58

Hello four waves :)

lulupopsted · 13/08/2017 22:37

Survived work over the weekend!! Feeling much better too :)
How was everyone's weekend?

Harmony tests? Someone mentions one and I did a bit of googling, is anyone having one?

Shnaffle · 13/08/2017 22:45

Hello!! new to this! Congrats to you all :) nervous about joining as only 5 weeks so trying not to get too excited until the 12 week scan. So difficult not to be consumed with worry! Good luck to all though hope we all have smooth pregnancies :) I'll look at joining the FB group of there is one after 12 weeks x

LPMD · 13/08/2017 23:16

Hey guys, just to remind those who want to join the FB group, please DM me your email and I'll you in.

Congrats to you all! :-) xx

MissYeti · 14/08/2017 00:20

1.20am - can't sleep, really nervous. Bean obviously survived the flight last Tuesday but now I have that second line I'm terrified about flying back home this Tuesday :( desperate to tell OH but I want to be sure the flight has no ill effects first.

I'm probably being irrational but good God being pregnant makes you worry about everything! My mothering instincts are currently in overdrive!

Suziesome1 · 14/08/2017 05:38

Bless, flying is absolutely fine. No harm whatsoever, bean is safely stashed away doing its thang. Don't worry and hope you got some sleep.

JadeT2 · 14/08/2017 08:35

Facebook group invite has finally worked for me, hurrah.

Finch82 · 14/08/2017 09:18

Missyeti flying is fine when you're pregnant! Don't panic! It's only in much later pregnancy they don't allow you to fly (is it 28 weeks onwards?) and I think this is more for the airline: they don't want to be responsible for you if you go into labour while you're up in the air!

boatrace30 · 14/08/2017 09:23

Yes flying only an issue much later (later than 28weeks even) and only because airlines don't want you to go into labour.

Also @lulupopsted I'm not having the harmony (too expensive) but a close friend did with both pregnancies. It allows you to find out sex as early as 10 weeks and you can also be very sure about a variety of genetic conditions. My feeling is I would go for it if the 12 week screening showed me to be high risk for anything, (as I'd prefer it to an amino) but otherwise ta a lot of money to spend.

MissYeti · 14/08/2017 09:46

Thank you for the reassurance xx

Poppyandpeaches · 14/08/2017 10:45

Hi everyone, how are you all doing? I think I am 4w+4 but really struggling to believe it! We had a lot of heavy bleeding with my first pregnancy and were told we had miscarried three tims before scans revealed baby was still on board. So lucky to have gone on to have a healthy boy but I am really struggling to believe we can be so lucky for a second time! Is anyone else feeling really anxious? I don't want to tell anyone we're expecting in case we jinx it but it feels really lonely not being able to talk or anyone about how worried I am! Xx
