Hey guys, I've created a Facebook group, if you're interested in joining?

www.facebook.com/groups/April2018Babies/

LPMD · 10/08/2017 20:42

It's a secret group so no one will know that you've joined apart from the members. I'm so sorry to hear that "Itsascottishbaby" Look after yourself and please don't give up. Lots of love xx

MrsDneedsaB · 10/08/2017 20:46

That link doesn't work for me :(

FuzzyOwl · 10/08/2017 21:12

I think you have to add us individually using our email addresses because it is a secret group @LPMD. But didn't someone say in an earlier thread that they had started a FB group?

Sharpstagram · 10/08/2017 21:56

Hi everyone, just found this thread! Congratulations! Due on 3rd April with number 2, nausea and tiredness has just hit in the past few days and I remember how much I HATE this feeling Grin

LPMD · 10/08/2017 22:03

Oh sorry, haven't seen the original message. If so, I can delete the new group. How do I add all of your emails??

Merowdiff · 10/08/2017 22:05

Just catching up with all of you tonight. Scottish I'm so sorry to hear your news. MrsD hope you sleep well tonight xxx

JadeT2 · 10/08/2017 22:07

Tentatively joining this as just had BFP yesterday. This will be baby number 2 after my November 2016 baby (think I recognise FuzzyOwl from that thread?!) but pregnancy number 3 after a miscarriage in 2015. Hence I'm feeling a bit unsure.

This baby was unexpected as the age gap is smaller than we'd probably thought it would be. I'm struggling to come to terms with it at the moment to be honest and am still a bit in shock! Congratulations everyone though!

FuzzyOwl · 10/08/2017 22:41

@LPMD I think the poster who did the first group just posted about it and hasn't commented since so maybe they are not a regular MN or maybe their pregnancy hasn't progressed. Either way, their group wasn't secret and I much prefer secret ones! I can send you a message with my FB email and then you can add me that way. Would that help?

Hi @JadeT2 and congratulations. DC1 and 2 have the same age gap that these ones will and honestly, most of the time it really is great. I don't think DC1 was old enough to really be too jealous or upset when DC2 came along. I've had a couple of miscarriages, and this pregnancy is from the cycle following the last one so I meek having wobbles as well. Fingers crossed for us birth.

LivLemler · 10/08/2017 22:46

So sorry to hear that Scottish Flowers

LPMD · 10/08/2017 22:53

@FuzzyOwl, sure! I'll add you straight away x

Jenacles · 11/08/2017 06:51

Hi everyone,

Do you mind if I join in? Recently found out I'm expecting child number 2, after 18 months of trying!Smile

lulupopsted · 11/08/2017 07:36

Ekkk worried
I have had a sore throat since Monday, but it's now really bad, and I also have ear ache!! Owwchhy :(
I don't know what to do, shall I call the GP can they do much? I have the number for the midwife but I haven't seen them yet.
Also I keep getting sharpish cramping down the left side of my womb. In a right pickle over here.

crispydumpling · 11/08/2017 08:14

So sorry to hear that Scottish 😕 Sending healing thoughts your way xx

I had a little bit of bleeding last night but none since and I feel very sick (have just puked up my pregnancy vitamins which was grim) so I'm trying not to worry too much. I've got an early scan on Wednesday evening so nothing I can do until then. Currently watching moana in bed with the baby because I think I'll vomit again if I have to get up!

Finch82 · 11/08/2017 08:27

Lulupopsted I've had some terrible cramping and abdominal pains. I've had no bleeding though. I googled it and period like pains are normal. It sounds like you've picked up a little virus though. Rest in bed! You can take paracetamol if you need it. I would ring GP or 111 though in order to get advice. They probably won't be able to do anything but they will probably tell you to get back in touch if such and such a thing happens. Resting is the best thing for you right now though. And yes ring GP, for reassurance if nothing else. Hope you're okay x

Finch82 · 11/08/2017 08:29

Crispydumpling watching Moana in bed with a baby sounds lovely. This is my first. I have morning sickness but haven't actually thrown up. Hope you don't have too much vomiting!

Finch82 · 11/08/2017 08:30

Jenacles congratulations on BFP! After 18 months as well. You must be ecstatic!

Anban · 11/08/2017 08:39

I tried to register with the midwife this week but shes on bloody holiday. And they didn't tell me when she would be back. Really eager to get and early scan as there are so so many twins in my family.

Really sorry Scottish. Sending you many positive vibes.

So many new people here! Congrats to all!
I have only told my bestie and her bf (and her other friend who was there at the time) because I wasn't drinking and I got asked directly! I was like 'ummmmm er no?' But I was fooling no one. Mum was going on about grandkids again last night but we're not tellling any parents for a while.

We went into mothercare for a browse the other day. Babies need an awful lot of crap don't they?

Jenacles · 11/08/2017 08:55

Hi Finch, thank you Smile.

We are super excited - we had just bought an ovulation/fertility monitor to see if that helped. Instead it has become the most expensive pregnancy test!

Sam91TRS15 · 11/08/2017 09:00

lulu, rest is def the best thing for you, our immune systems are down when we are pregnant, so we are a lot more likely to get unwell. I have had constant dull ache in my abdomen/uterus since a couple days before my BFP, and it has been constant since. I get like horrible pulling feelings which can be very sharp every night and again if I stretch (not even like a big stretch either), so it is possibly quite normal, but your midwife won't mind a wee call if it puts your mind at rest.

Sunshinesaz86 · 11/08/2017 09:36

Good luck today mrsd keeping everything crossed for you.

Welcome to everyone who's joined and got their bfp's congrats! jenacles wow 18 months! Such a journey bet your so pleased!

I've turned 6 weeks today and queasiness has ramped up as well as tiredness.

anban that's a bit frustrating for you, phone back and ask when she's expected to be back.

I hope your bleeding stays away crispy very worrying for you.

lulu cramping is normal, I remember my first pregnancy it worried me so much I was taking paracetamol and ended up having an early scan, but all was ok.

I have my booking in appointment Tuesday going to enquire about an early reassurance scan maybe around 9 weeks as had a MMC in Feb at 12 week scan bean HB stopped at 8+4 so it would make me feel better having one in between. I know that whenever I have my scan I won't be able to look at the screen until I'm told all is ok.
If mw refuses then we may pay for it instead.

mummyto3andbump · 11/08/2017 09:48

Hi
I'm 4 weeks today, due april 21st. I was looking to join the fb group.

Thecomfortador · 11/08/2017 10:05

Hi mummy congrats, we have the same due date (for now, haha). I have initial appt with community mw on Monday, it's seeming a bit real now.

To those with bleeding and cramps, fingers crossed it is all ok. There's always something to worry about.
