Hi everyone, I'm 5+6 with DC2 having a lazy day today! I hope you're all happy and healthy!

Papillion86 · 07/08/2017 17:40

Hi, can I join you lovely lot? Got my BFP on Saturday whilst in France with my inlaws....quite possible the worst place as it's too hot and they keep trying to make me eat pate and side cheese argh
Came off the pill in March but honestly didn't think I'd get pregnant at all (don't know why). Going through a mixture of emotions including complete and utter fear with a bit of excitement. My SIL arrived today with her six month old and I couldn't even hold him Confused to top it all off feel so sick all day!
Would love a bit of support
Xx

itsascottishbaby · 07/08/2017 23:12

I'm so sorry @Babydreaming, look after yourself.

@Papillion86 That's so tricky, I hope you can get some space soon.

Pregnancy rage here too (my poor husband) and I'm also so emotional - we're currently sleep training my DS and I'm finding it tough. I cry at the smallest thing!

bondbaby · 08/08/2017 07:51

Hi @LivLemler yes it does seem so far away! I'm quite anxious about something going wrong so we agreed that we wouldn't tell anyone for a few weeks, but at the same time, I've found myself in lots of situations since I found out where I just want to tell someone! @OuiMerci, I'm impressed by your organisational skills!

itsascottishbaby · 08/08/2017 10:26

I'm bleeding this morning :-( Only a small amount so far, this is so upsetting.

YorkieDorkie · 08/08/2017 11:19

Scottish keep positive, are you being seen today? Flowers

Sam91TRS15 · 08/08/2017 11:35

Oh scottish, I hope you are OK. Early pregnancy is so horrific Sad. I hope you get through to your EPU and they can book you in for a scan as soon as possible xx

itsascottishbaby · 08/08/2017 11:38

Thanks both, I haven't planned to be seen yet as it's so early, I didn't think you could have a scan so early that could give you a definite answer? I will see how the rest of today goes...

Finch82 · 08/08/2017 11:39

Sorry to hear this Scottish** Hope you are okay. Sad

Mimilicious013 · 08/08/2017 11:48

I'm so sorry @baby Flowers, please take care of yourself.
@scottish, hope you are okay and it's nothing to worry about.
Everything crossed for you @mrsd
Welcome to all who just got their bfps and congrats.
It's so true @sam. You would think ttc is the only nightmare, yet the pregnancy journey is a scary experience too.

I am struggling with dizziness. What could be the cause? I am always knackered too and can fall asleep as soon as I sit on the sofa or get comfortable.

How is everyone else doing? Hope you are all coping

Sam91TRS15 · 08/08/2017 12:31

mimi, I get dizziness too, I think it's due to blood being rerouted to your uterus, or so I have been told!
scottish, it definitely wouldn't do any harm to phone epu/midwife, at least so they are aware. They can do vaginal scans from 6 weeks - how far are you again?

itsascottishbaby · 08/08/2017 12:34

@Sam I'm only 5 weeks 3 days :-/

fitbitbore · 08/08/2017 12:46

I had a epu scan at five weeks 2 days they can see if there is pregnancy in place but unusual to see a fetal pole.

Sunshinesaz86 · 08/08/2017 12:58

So sorry to read that scottish I do hope it stops for you and all is ok?

mimi dizziness was my first symptom with my last pregnancy I found I got it if I hadn't drunk enough water or was hungry.

I hope your scan soon comes round for you sam.

Welcome to everyone new who's joined and congratulations.

itsascottishbaby · 08/08/2017 13:09

Phoned my EPU who said I should speak to my GP/midwife. I've just left a voicemail for the lady who was my midwife last time, will see what happens!

MrsDneedsaB · 08/08/2017 13:25

Hope everything goes well Scottish my EPU wouldn't see me until I'm well over 6 weeks either.

Normally they don't let you self refer unless you have a history of mcs.

Hope the GP does the right thing and refers you to EPU instead of being a "wait and see" arse Flowers

itsascottishbaby · 08/08/2017 13:46

Midwife called me back. She was lovely and said I can speak to the GP and they can refer me for a scan but realistically they won't do that until next week. In the meantime I should monitor it and take another test in a few days (for what it's worth I did one this morning and it was a really strong positive, while last time I had a CP I had a negative as soon as I started bleeding). I hate not knowing what's going on.

Finch82 · 08/08/2017 13:56

@scottish That's good they called back and you've got a scan scheduled, but poor you having to wait. I think getting a strong positive this morning is a really good sign. Thinking about you and keeping my fingers crossed all is okay Flowers

LivLemler · 08/08/2017 14:18

Glad the midwife was nice scottish. The strong positive sounds like a good sign, fingers crossed the bleeding will stop soon Flowers

Stonesourfangirl · 08/08/2017 14:35

Hi Scottish.
Sorry you are having a scary time. I hope the wait for your scan goes quickly and uneventfully x Flowers

MrsDneedsaB · 08/08/2017 19:13

A little update ladies, just had a call from the GP and she's informed me that my HCG levels are 4,000 which are spot on for 6 weeks. A little relief!

Although my prolactin levels are at 3,000 which is v v high so will need to talk to my endo about pregnancy safe prolactin meds.

A little less stressed about my scan on Thursday Cake

Thelostsock · 08/08/2017 20:00

Congrats @MrsDneedsaB that's great news! Hopefully can help you relax a little

YorkieDorkie · 08/08/2017 20:26

Great news mrsD and Scottish that's really hopeful. Keeping everything crossed for you both Cake

NickMyLipple · 08/08/2017 22:26

Please can I join? Got my PFP today - early days still at around 4 weeks but I'm very excited!

Finch82 · 08/08/2017 22:49

Woo! Congratulations NickMyLipple! I think I'm about 4+4. I called the local midwifery team and have my first meeting with them at the end of August.

How are you feeling? I've got constant, low level nausea but I suppose it's a good sign so I don't mind. I was only ttc for the last month and did not expect it to happen so quick as I'm 35 and only have 1 ovary. Its not sunk in yet Confused
