Congratulations WCL!!!! Also said with tears in my eyes! Reminded me why I was up for two hours last night and now I don't feel so fed up. Am delighted for you and hope it all went as you planned.

So exciting, hope the babies are coming along like (SMALL) buses very soon!

I had heard the after pains were worse 2nd time round WCL, thanks for the advice.

mammyjo · 25/03/2007 20:55

Hope so too. I feel much more prepared for the pitfalls this time so am hoping to avoid the mistakes I made before - I hope anyway.

babysopiniontakesover · 25/03/2007 21:01

Thats why I can't stop cooking meals to put in the freezer. DH is of the can't cook and won't cook brigade so unless I cook we don't eat. The freezers just about full now - thinking of doing humongous casserole this week if time........

WCL taking painkillers is my favourite pastime so will be with you there! Nurofen and solpadol/paracet and codeine have got to be the best, help you to sleep too....................

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 25/03/2007 21:04

Cooking - must do that also. Last time we lived on pasta and sauce from a jar! Can't abide the stuff now - tastes so fake!!

babysopiniontakesover · 25/03/2007 21:04

Just eaten a whole bag of cadbury mini eggs whoops. And to think only 2 more weeks of being "allowed" to.

babysopiniontakesover · 25/03/2007 21:07

SOSPL I think this is definitely last minute nesting cos I just can't seem to bloody stop and the freezer outside is brimming.

I even wanted to bake cheese muffins today and I can't even bake in fact I don't own a baking tray and wouldn't know plain flour from SR if you threw it at me. Please help!!
Might just go to tescos and do mammoth online shop as a back up????

babysopiniontakesover · 25/03/2007 21:20

God I think I've scared everyone off. Only joking about the painkillers!!!!!!!

eca · 25/03/2007 21:21

WCL WOW! What an amazing birth story! Well done you! You sound very calm, relaxed and in control. Soooo encouraging to hear a positive homebirth story (hoping for one here). Congratulations! Hope that the next few days are magical for you and the dc.

And no stitches! wow, well done. And ds sounds adorable, what a lovely welcome to db from his big bro

Lots of love
xxxxxx

Eddas · 25/03/2007 21:25

WCL, lovely to hear from you and glad all went so well.

Thanks for the tip re the painkillers. With dd i didn't know anything about after pains. I'd only read pg stuff and pain relief in labour as i didn't want to read about labour!! No one told me anythong so rang up in a panic when i felt contractions again, wondered what the hells was going on!!! Have stocked up a little but may buy some more asap

opinions, i've just eaten a whole bag too!! Did the same last night Really must improve my diet!!

babysopiniontakesover · 25/03/2007 21:27

Lol I think I've got a "mini egg" problem.

Eddas · 25/03/2007 21:29

Hmm do you think i have too? I've eaten three bags in two days

babysopiniontakesover · 25/03/2007 21:30

Three bags in two days is pushing it, have you considered counselling.

AngeG · 25/03/2007 21:30

I'm not that keen on mini eggs...but creme eggs...mmmmm I've got a real taste for them at the moment.

EllieK · 25/03/2007 21:33

any more babies?

of course, technically we still haven't managed any April babies before April yet, as WCL was due at the end of March

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 25/03/2007 21:34

I think I mentioned this last night, but I ate a tube of Becky's mini eggs that she had had in her party bag! Thinking about her health and wellbeing of course!!

babysopiniontakesover · 25/03/2007 21:34

Creme eggs too.....but especially mini eggs I think its cos they're farily seasonal. My cousins dp bought and ate 48 creme eggs in a week when pregnant. Ummmmmmmm....but then again she also ate plasterboard as a craving.

Eddas · 25/03/2007 21:34

no? do you really think it's that bad???

Only 7 days til due date now so am making the most of it Will have to lose weight once baby is born so no more excuses

Eddas · 25/03/2007 21:36

plasterboard

Got 2 sheets sitting in my dinning room, shall i try some

babysopiniontakesover · 25/03/2007 21:36

SOSPL - you should be ashamed of yourself lol. Mind you I took the lion bar out of DS' party bag today. Have you noticed how the cake is never really all that nice???

babysopiniontakesover · 25/03/2007 21:37

Give the plasterboard a miss and stick to the mini eggs, less calories though???

Eddas · 25/03/2007 21:37

I always eat dd's party bag stuff am not looking forward to a few years time when she'll be able to eat it herself!!

Eddas · 25/03/2007 21:38

It does look a bit tough!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 25/03/2007 21:38

B quite likes the cake and both days she has sat on the floor and eaten it before we have left the party! I am not a fan of cake really.

Plasterboard!!! Yuk!!

AngeG · 25/03/2007 21:39

I think I could manage 48 creme eggs in a week

Eddas · 25/03/2007 21:40

Shall we do a creme egg challenge??? I reckon i'd make it
