SOSPL - ummmmmmmmmmmmm Flake - off to the shop now. Do you reckon anyone will notice if i wear my coat over my PJs .
WCL - PMSL re registering birth whilst DH is @ work, me and DP are also having name wars so may follow your lead.

eca · 26/03/2007 21:39

maveta - there's someone asking about mallorca over here Wondered if you might be able to help????

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 26/03/2007 21:44

Bugger, bum and balls. B has woken up coughing and crying, so have had to put the Flake on hold until another time. Typical that she is seemingly off colour while dh away. Bang goes my restful night.

Sorry, I sound like a crap and uncaring mother. I promise I am not; I could just so do without having a bad night.

Right, better neck my cuppa and head to bed.

See you all in the morning.

Pesha · 26/03/2007 21:49

Hello all

Keep popping in over the weekend but spend so long reading and trying to catch up that I run out of time to actually post anything!

WCL - CONGRATULATIONS YAY someone had a baby!! Sorry Im nearly 2 days late saying anything Glad you're all doing fine (apart from dds bump, typical toddler timing!!) (am now desperately racking my brains to try and remember if she is a toddler or not but like the alliteration so going with it for poetic reasons!!) Have you posted any pics anywhere of LO yet?

Octo - you CANNOT possibly have your baby yet, you're only due one day before me, its far too soon, cant possibly happen and i will not believe it!! Surely you're just faking again?! Sending you labour vibes if you really want them as long as you dont send any back.

Im not ready to have a baby yet!!!!!!!

Ahem

Octo - good luck, hope all goes well

And did i se 1b3 is having a CS tomorrow? Thats fantastic news, really pleased for you.

Sorry but have not caught up on anything else yet, just skimmed through for the baby bits

Ellie - Where is that email update you promised???

EllieK · 26/03/2007 21:52

sort of been doing it pesha, didn't you get them?

sent one with wcl news, then one tonight with octo/1b3 news

Bramshott · 26/03/2007 22:07

Ooh how exciting - so Octo can have her baby tonight, 1b3 tomorrow, Mammyjo on Wed, and then Ooogs on Thurs!! Sorry Ooogs - hope you're not feeling too bad that it looks like 1b3 will get them out first honey. I'll have mine over the weekend please so my mum is available to come over .

Brain now turned to mush and can't remember anything!

Glad it's going well WCL.
AngeG - so sorry to hear about your DH's friend.
SOSPL - sorry Becky is restless. You don't sound moany at all - motherhood should definitely come with an "off" switch at 7.30pm for the over 1-s!

CD - hope the visit to the birthing centre went well. Am getting uncomfortable in the car now so Brighton meet up might have to wait till all the babies are here - sun, lovely babies, ice cream, shops . . . But if some of you are up for it then you should do it now too anyway, and not worry that we can't all make it.

Quick question - my friend has given me a gym ball which is great and I'm looking forward to bouncing about on it in early labour etc, but should I take it with me when I go to hospital?! Or will they have them there? Will I not need or care about one once I get there if I am contracting every 5 mins? Picked up TENS machine today so one more piece in the puzzle . . .

38+1 (blimey, this really is going to happen isn't it!!)

CaptainDippy · 26/03/2007 22:12

Boo! I'm back .......

nuttygirl · 26/03/2007 22:14

Bramshott - I know my hospital has them so i don't need to take mine in, think it depends on the hospital tho.

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 22:16

Hello (((waves))) back from hospital - was monitored for an hour - the variability for the first 1/2 hour wasn;t very good and kept dropping to about 90 then back up again - but then he seemed to wake up a bit and all was fine - they faxed it to Bath for the registrar and he seemed fine - got to go back in morning to be monitored again. Midwife didn;t seem very happy with trace. DH not happy as this is exactly what happened with DS1 and was blue lighted for emergency section - so dh has gone to clean his golf clubs and shoes in garage!

MW says can put tens machine on whenever I like if gets rid of pain - so should sleep tonight even if he starts again!

Still feeling niggly and uncomfy and have headache so off to bed - and hopefully sleep!

EllieK · 26/03/2007 22:16

mine don't have them so mine is deflated and in my bag!

EllieK · 26/03/2007 22:17

octo this is not on, we need a new thread but were waiting for you to give birth

EllieK · 26/03/2007 22:18

and why would you being 'bluelighted' for csection make him want to play golf?

nuttygirl · 26/03/2007 22:19

That all sounds a bit technical for me...hop you get a good night's sleep.

CaptainDippy · 26/03/2007 22:20

[[hugs]] Octo - hope you get a reasonable night's sleep sweetie .....

Birthing centre was lovely and MW who did the tour was fab - Saw a yummy one day old baby girl (so she shares your new DS' Birthday WCL!! ) Drive was a bit yuk though .... Mmmmmmmm ......

Bramshott · 26/03/2007 22:21

Thanks for ball-tips guys. Am booked in for ante-natal class at the hosp on Fri so I will ask them then - and if it happens before then, will be deflating it quick!!

Hope you can get some sleep Octo - thinking of you.

Off to bed too, after last night's indigestion-shennanigans. Night all. xxx

nuttygirl · 26/03/2007 22:21

CD - glad you liked the birthing centre - is that decision made then????

btw...I've got a ball and i'm just sitting rocking on it...is that what I'm meant to do?

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 22:22

Its an escape thing - cleaning his clubs will take his mind off worrying about the baby! I can hear him pottering around out there! He thinks I should have gone to Bath to be checked tonight.

EllieK · 26/03/2007 22:23

having an AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH moment.

just had a text conversation with Justn (baby's father). I'd suggested that he might like to join one of the 'tours' so he knows whats what when he gets to the hospital. he hasn't bothered. i quote

"i don't relly want to be there before i have to be at the moment. it's hard enough just thinking about being with you at the birth with how you have been the last few times we have seen each other"

i'm sorry, but he's been sacked twice since christmas, drives me nuts whenever i do see him, didn't bother to tell his parents for over 3 months that we'd split up, and still gives this as his address

now i have to pay a phone bill i can't afford, because he wanted the phoneline and broadband, as he has no money and the bill has bounced, and if he does get another job he won't get paternity leave. don't really think he can expect me to be too chuffed with him.

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 22:23

Lean over it and rock forward and back or side to side - put a blanket/pillow on it so is more comfy

Night night

Pesha · 26/03/2007 22:25

Oo ellie sorry should have checked emails before accusing you of not dong any I did get the WCL baby one and have now seen the other one, sorry and thank you

You know what else we need - SMS alerts when theres particularly interesting or funny conversation so I can drop everything and come and join in cos I always seem to miss it and end up reading it the next day thinking of lots of things I want to say but the moment has passed

OR I just get rid of my kids and stop doing housework.
Or possibly stop napping so often and go to bed earlier

I like the no kids and no housework idea best i think

EllieK · 26/03/2007 22:25

sorry, needed to rant!

the midwife has tried to convince me that the birth is my experience and if i want to go it alone then i should, but i don't feel i can deny him the experience, and now i'm getting grief about him being there from him

EllieK · 26/03/2007 22:26

ooh no pesha, email me your number and i'll text you when it gets exciting! have already started doing that with Emmymummy and CD!

EllieK · 26/03/2007 22:27

only when i text Emmymummy to say octo was having the baby on saturday night she wasn't really, made me look very silly!

EllieK · 26/03/2007 22:32

sorry didn't mean to scare you all off with my ranting

nuttygirl · 26/03/2007 22:35

Well i'm off to bed cos DH is looking fed up!!!
