baba it's worth at least ringing the epu, they should be able to assess you over the phone to decide whether to come in. With my first MC they went through loads of questions and decided for me to wait and see what happened but I was very early. I think if I'd been further along they'd have got me in for a scan.

choochoo Sorry to hear that, waiting for answers is the worst x

look thanks! Yeah, its good to remind myself that the chances are still pretty good :)

boringbetty · 05/07/2017 21:43

I'm debating a private scan myself because of previous MC to put my mind at ease but then I think if anything was to happen a scan or anything can't prevent it . Plus £90 is a lot of money that I could spend on having a fun day out with DS .

SquintySquirrel · 06/07/2017 06:10

Hi all, been reading the new thread and sending warm wishes to all those who have been experiencing any issues or losses Flowers

I am somewhere between 6+6 and 7+3 depending on which calculator I use! My cycles vary in length from 28-32 so I can't say for sure but anyway, had extremely swollen and tender breasts and weird looking nipples for the last few weeks but yesterday they started to feel normal again and today they feel almost back to pre pregnancy so I'm v worried. Have had some low level nausea which I still have this morning but I just don't feel as pregnant as I did before.

Booked in for an early scan next Tuesday, where I'll be 7-8 weeks and I'm feeling nervous already.

No cramps or bleeding at the moment so just a loss of symptoms concerning me.

Anyone else seeing their symptoms come and go like this? TIA

lookatthemoon · 06/07/2017 07:18

I had this earlier in the week Squirrel - I essentially spent last weekend violently vomiting and woke up Monday with nothing but mild nausea and some lower back pain. Went to the doctor on Tues and he told me to come back today (he is a bit over cautious). Both times there was a really strong heartbeat, am measuring for dates (9 + 5) and all looks great.

I am just accepting that my symptoms may come and go! If there is no blood I would try not to worry.

lookatthemoon · 06/07/2017 08:11

Talk to me about listeria!

I live in a remote(ish) part of Asia and a lot of our fruit and veg are locally sourced and often have lots of bugs on them and soil etc. I obviously wash everything thoroughly and cook most veggies (since being pregnant). However, I really want a salad - really want one! Am currently soaking some lettuce in cold water and vinegar and will scrub it but am still paranoid about eating it.

Am I being over cautious? Or a bit reckless to eat it? Talk sense to me please?!

EmilyK83 · 06/07/2017 08:56

Hey lookatthemoon - there's part of me that thinks that because you already live there you should have built up a resistance...and you're washing it sensibly too, so should be ok? If you're worried, though, I'd say it's safer to avoid. Well aware that's probably no help at all Smile

OrangeCloud18 · 06/07/2017 21:44

I was having some mild waves of nausea before today but since this morning I'm having violent waves. I have not thrown up yet but I am guessing it will happen soonish. My boobs are still killing me and I am super tired but I am happy and I only have tomorrow to go through and then we have a week of holidays!
We are telling OH's family tomorrow and I cannot wait for the scan on Wednesday!
How are you guys doing?

EmilyK83 · 07/07/2017 08:21

Ahhh Orange jealous of your holidays! Hope you make it through today ok! Nausea is strong here too, I'm lucky in that most of the time I work from home most of the time but Friday is my banking day, and I have errands to run..first pregnancy and I'm terrified I'll end up puking in public Grin I'm getting through diet ginger beer like nobody's business (still trying to avoid putting too much more weight on early on!) and pretty much surviving on crackers, pickles and cheese during the day. I can't complain though, only been physically sick a couple of times so far...

OrangeCloud18 · 07/07/2017 08:40

Emily I just got to work, not well at all and have got the bin next to me, just in case Grin
There is nothing wrong with throwing up in public, I used to have gallbladder issues, from planes to random bins to corridors because I could not reach the toilet, you name it! Blush

DoTheFandango · 07/07/2017 08:58

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all feeling ok and not too nauseous! Mine seems to have tailed off this week (9 weeks), hoping that's not a bad sign. So sorry to hear about the losses too, hope you're all taking care of yourselves.
I have a private scan booked for this afternoon- really nervous but hoping to see a baby in there and not that I've imagined it! Slightly intrigued as to how much they will be able to see as a previous ultrasound (not pregnancy related) showed that I have a tilted uterus and from what I have read that can affect how much of baby can seen on an ultrasound!

EmilyK83 · 07/07/2017 09:17

Awww Orange hope it eases up soon for you and that you have an uneventful day! I've left the flat now so let's see how this goes, haha...

DoTheFandango good luck for this afternoon! Exciting! Looking forward to hearing how it goes Smile

GingerRogers84 · 07/07/2017 11:00

Dear god! Absolutely everything is making me cry! Happy things, sad things, mundane everyday things! I hope this goes away and I'm not a cryer!
My eyes are sweating! 😂

Melody85 · 07/07/2017 12:00

@ginger haha I'm exactly the same, cried 4 times on Thursday for no real reason, I thought the worst was when I was at work and just started sobbing for no reason, but then I went to the gym and just started crying on the treadmill! 😂 Got some seriously funny looks..
I'm 10 weeks today and for the first time in about a month I feel human again! It's the best feeling ever so I hope those of you still struggling feel better soon. Likely it'll be back tomorrow, but enjoying it whilst I can 😊 X

LulusForest · 07/07/2017 13:33

Ginger and Melody I'm with you on the crying thing! All day yesterday I felt like I was going to burst into tears at work, for no apparent reason. And the other day I ended up bawling my eyes out when my DH was telling me about his crappy day at work. I mean, I'll always feel bad for him if he's had a rubbish day, but I can't say I've ever actually cried about it before 😂

Emily I used to track my BBT so I could tell when I had ovulated, as I had really long and irregular cycles. I used to then enter all my temp data and my Fitbit HR data into excel and chart them (yep, I'm that sad... 😳) and there was a clear pattern of my HR going up a day or two after my temp jumped up, showing that I had ovulated. It would then go back down when I got my next period.

Hope you feel better soon orange and good luck for the scan fandango!

ELFR · 07/07/2017 13:37

I'm in team crying too. Everything sets me off. Feel human today for the first day in a fortnight, did a workout this morning, I'm so unfit!

lookatthemoon · 07/07/2017 13:47

Thanks for the food reassurance Emily! ☺️Didn't end up eating it in the end.

Melody - I'm 10 weeks tomorrow too! Apparently our beans are the size of a strawberry now (or the length of an ipod charger as some random website pointed out ...)

SofiePendragon · 07/07/2017 15:59

Sorry for everyone struggling with nausea and vomiting. I felt really rough earlier this week and got a bit dehydrated in the heat, but feeling a bit better over the past couple of days. Trying to make sure I drink a bit more but it's so difficult when you feel like you're just going to puke it all back up again.

I had a scan today and saw my little bean with its heart beating away! I'm 12 weeks by dates, hence having a scan now, but the sonographer confirmed I'm not quite that far along and gave me an edd of 5th February which is much closer to what I thought (9+4 today). She couldn't do much except confirm that the heart's beating and everything looks OK, so I'll have to go back in a couple of weeks for all my measurements - and another peek at bubba Smile

GingerRogers84 · 07/07/2017 17:09

Ha ha! I'm glad I'm not the only emotional one! I hope I hold it together for my graduation next week! I don't want to do a Gwyneth at the Oscars! 😂😂😂
Hope everyone feels more human soon! 👌🏻☺️

Loxy4527 · 07/07/2017 17:11

Oh good it's not just me that's getting emotional, I thought I was imagining it! I can't listen to nice music or watch any emotional documentaries any more (super vet was a bad idea)

Sophie aw that's wonderful news! I can't wait to see mine tomorrow.

Feeling alright-ish today. Nearly threw up before leaving the house but gave myself a stern talking to and made it to work with no incident Grin

GingerRogers84 · 07/07/2017 17:45

One piece of advice Ladies. If you're feeling emotional do not watch Binky & JPs baby: born in Chelsea.

I only watched it because I was bored and it made me cry loads! 😭😭😭

Snozwanger · 07/07/2017 20:05

Hello ladies, I've been lurking a bit here and trying to read everyone's posts. So sorry to hear of everyone's losses and anxiety about your pregnancies. I really wish you all well and hope your little beans make it through.

Hope I'm not too late to join...?

Due: 10th Feb, I'm 8 weeks tomorrow
Second baby (have DS1 3.5)

Had my booking in appointment today. I'll be consultant led as I had an EMCS last time. Bricking it about this birth to be honest. I'm on week 3 of nausea and fatigue although I've improved this week helped by some anti sickness drugs from my GP. Had to tell close friends and family earlier this time as I was struggling so much.

pretzelpieces · 07/07/2017 20:23

I'm so behind on the thread! I am also crying at everything, so can relate to that. Lovely news about seeing the heartbeat Sophie.

I'm 10+2 today, two weeks until my scan. Time is passing extremely slowly.

EmilyK83 · 07/07/2017 21:00

I'm with you on the time pretzel - but I realised today I'm almost a quarter of the way there, and that puts it into perspective! Smile

boringbetty · 08/07/2017 08:42

Arghhhh FIL guessed I was pregnant last night . He noticed I wasn't having a drink and in front of everyone "are you pregnant" . I didn't want to tell anyone yet just walked out the room and pretended I didn't hear

EmilyK83 · 08/07/2017 08:48

Ahhh boringbetty it's so hard to lie when someone asks you directly isn't it! I ended up telling my mum's ex for precisely that reason, haha!
