Oh trijo that sounds like a tough night.
On my first birthday as a mum my DD awoke several times throughout the night and was really unsettled. Then at about 4.00 she vomited full on in my face (hair and everything!) And promptly went back to sleep whilst I had to scrub and clean.

Oh the joys! Grin

Thattwat I probably won't find out, as I didn't last time but doesn't stop me reading every old wives tale and trying to guess

Mean to also say hi BlackCatSmushyFace and llamabeans

Hi I found the thread . I am 6weeks today so EDD is 21st Feb . Going to ring midwife tomorrow to see if I can get my booking appointment . Had a miscarriage in March so a bit anxious this time round

EmilyK83 · 29/06/2017 15:20

I don't think I'm going to find out the sex...we want a surprise! I'm not calling it "it", though - every week we refer to the baby based on what my app tells me it's the size of. So this week, it's a blueberry! Smile

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 29/06/2017 17:15

Assuming things go ok and we have a healthy baby, we'll definitely find out the sex! Probably at 16 weeks like we did last time. I'm really nervous though that things won't be ok as I have no symptoms at all. I know every pregnancy is different, but by this point with DS I had really bad nausea and was exhausted all the time. Right now I just feel a little bit tired, no nausea or anything (although I'll quite happily have a nausea-free pregnancy as long as it's healthy).

As for weight gain, I'd only just got out of my maternity clothes Grin. I gained over a stone in my first trimester last time as I was constantly starving and needed to eat carbs or the nausea set in. Hopefully I won't gain as much this time!

ELFR · 29/06/2017 17:31

So tired and lacking motivation right now, I looking forward to the weekend so I can sleeeeeeeeeep. Bloating mostly seems to have gone thankfully so not having to wear my smockiest outfits to work.

EmilyK83 · 29/06/2017 17:40

Coffee eating constantly is the only way I can deal with it too! Not weighed at my Slimming World group the last few weeks -i know I'm still in target but I hate the fact that I've gained at least 3lb already and I'm only 7 weeks in!

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 29/06/2017 17:49

Emily - I can totally understand how you're feeling. It's horrible. Especially after you lost loads of weight! (Was it you who lost 6 stone?). TBH you're probably gaining because you were at such a low weight compared with your 'usual' weight. Also, I actually don't think 3lbs is all that much at all, so really don't worry Smile.

GingerRogers84 · 29/06/2017 17:50

I'm constantly eating as well! Buttered crumpets do the trick. 👌🏻
Still cannot face coffee or tea and now meat. Smell of alcohol makes me retch too!,😷😷😷😷

We decided not to find out the sex. But we might change our minds!☺️

GingerRogers84 · 29/06/2017 17:51

Ps
I had broccoli at lunch today! I couldn't get enough of it! Not normally bothered either way...

RainyDayBear · 29/06/2017 18:07

We'll definitely find out way we're having. I reckon boy as this pregnancy feels very different - if I had the choice I'd love another little girl though!

We're going away for the weekend and I just sent DP out to buy my snacks for the weekend. It was an extensive list Blush

Will be my first and I've not got a clue what baby will be, do want to find out though as I like to be prepared lol!

cookingbabydunc · 29/06/2017 18:39

Thanks for setting up the new thread! I'm 8 weeks today 😀 I found out I was pregnant quite early and can remember feeling so jealous of those that far along. Admittedly 12 weeks still feels like a lifetime away though!

I am also struggling to fit into my clothes. I can't wear any of my trousers. I'm ok for about 2 hours in the morning but as the day goes on my tummy grows a lot, yet I don't feel too horrendously bloated but then I had chronic bloating in weeks 3/4/5 so this feels easy in comparison.
Ideally I wanted to wait until my 12 week scan before purchasing maternity jeans but don't think I'll be able to wait that long. I'm also nibbling little and often to keep the nausea at bay, which seems to be working for the time being 🤞🏽

cookingbabydunc · 29/06/2017 18:43

I thought my OH would definitely want a surprise, as I do, but the other day he told me he definitely wants to find out. I would have put money on him wanting to wait! So, looks like I'll be finding out! To be honest as much as I didn't see it going that way it's quite exciting to think we'll know in the not too distant future if all goes well.

emwithme · 29/06/2017 18:48

I think we're going to find out the sex - if only to rule out half the potential names. Saying that, though, we've had a boys name nailed down since before we got married (5 years ago in September) but girl's names are far harder!

I'm so tired and so nauseous, and so bloated. I've gained 6 lbs since I found out I was pregnant, am starting to not fit into my clothes. I lost 4 stone between summer 2015 and last November (and at my lightest was over 7 stone lighter than my heaviest) so I've kept most of my "fat" clothes (knowing we were going to TTC) but I didn't think I'd be going up a size already! I know that it's 90% crisps but OMG...

Emily if you tell your consultant you're pregnant you get to stay "officially in target" throughout the pregnancy. I've gained every week since I found out but I'm still going to group because if I fall off the wagon completely I'm going to put all the weight on and more. I'm just concentrating on eating relatively healthily and need to stop buying bloody pringles

I told my boss yesterday. I know it's early but it's a really small firm (there's only 5 of us in the office, and 5 in production) and the other ladies in the office knew so...I asked for a quiet word. We went into the break room and he said "so is this congratulations or are you deserting me Grin"

SofiePendragon · 29/06/2017 18:49

Thanks for the new thread Rainy

I think we'll have a surprise this time again. Last time it really was a surprise as I'd convinced myself I was a boy and didn't believe my dh at first when he told me she was a girl. I really treasure that memory though - one of the few I can smile about when it comes to my labour last time.

I guessed my daughter's birth date right though, so I definitely get bonus points for that even if I was totally wrong on the sex.

SofiePendragon · 29/06/2017 18:53

*it not I!

I knew I was a girl - labour wasn't quite that bad!

llamabeans · 29/06/2017 19:56

Had such a rubbish day at work today! So tired so I snuck out early (grateful that I can!!) came home and got into bed! So glad it's Friday tomorrow!

Have been trying to be good and not eat too much because I could easily put on lots of weight. Had managed to lose about 7 lbs just before I found out so diet went out the window. Doesn't help that I am so tired and hungry all the time!

I think we will probably find out what 'flavour' baby is. DH always said he didn't want to but then realised we'll be excited anyway on arrival day so finding out before then gives us another day to look forward to. At the moment he thinks girl and I think boy; just a gut feeling.

Hope everyone is feeling as good as can be tonight! :)

Emwahs · 29/06/2017 21:44

I am not too fussed about finding out what sex baby is but DH wants to find out as he likes to prepare and their is no arguing with him. Least we can plan things a little better. I don't mind what sex it is but I hope it's a boy for my husbands sake as he is a proper mans man and not too sure he would know what to do with a girl!!!

My symptoms have seemed to have all completely gone only a it of nausea when hungry and nippels a little bit tender when cold... should I be concerned and speak to midwife as I have not seen her yet and I am not booked in for a couple more weeks. Just getting slightly paranoid. Only had a scan last week and baby had heartbeat and was looking good. Just starting to get attached to baby penguin now and don't want my heart broken, xx

Loxy4527 · 29/06/2017 21:47

I thought the nausea was getting better today and then I retched in the kitchen sink while trying to make dinner Sad hey ho. DH doesn't really know what to do about it all. I've got him to come along to the booking appointment, I think it'll help him feel like it's happening. Just in time for the scan next week Shock I had to warn him though "by the way, it's not going to be like in the movies with gel on my belly. That one comes later, this one will be different." Grin

EmilyK83 · 29/06/2017 22:51

Yeah Coffee that's me! I know I shouldn't complain but it just feels weird...

Emwithme she knows, and I'm officially down as pregnant on the system...part of me just doesn't trust her not to blurt it out in group and I don't want everyone knowing. I'm a consultant too so technically could just weigh myself at my own group, but don't want to do that...

Scandalicity · 30/06/2017 07:51

Hi everyone,

Hoping I'm not too late to join in, got my BFP a couple of weeks ago!

I was slightly reluctant to join as earlier this year I had an ectopic pregnancy. I had surgery to remove it & my right tube on 3rd April this year, and after healing have been extremely lucky to conceive again at the first month of trying.

I'm now 7 weeks & we had a scan on Tuesday which confirmed this one is exactly where it's supposed to be it was measuring smaller than I thought I was but when it's only a couple of millimetres this early I'm not too concerned, and the little heartbeat was flashing away, so fingers crossed.

Aiming to have a reassurance scan in a couple of weeks at around 9 weeks to check its cooking as it should be, and generally trying to be really positive about this one

lookatthemoon · 30/06/2017 08:06

We are not finding out the gender - didn't with DS. Ridiculously in all the craziness of giving birth, DS was put straight on my chest and neither DH or I thought to 'look' until the midwife said 'what did you have?'.

I keep getting a weird tugging sensation in my uterus - this is normal right? Presume it is just growing and it is not cramping but it's a weird sensation.

Welcome scandalcity!

Alicantine · 30/06/2017 08:34

Marking my place. I am still following the thread just been very busy at work. Sorry for the losses and glad some of you have been booked in , I have not yet!
