I remember my cat was amazing when I had my first mc. He never left my side. I do think they know! I've got lovely pics of my cats sleeping next to my bump with my son ❤️

GingerRogers84 · 02/07/2017 11:43

Aww! That amazing that animals can pick all of that up!
While my dog is being super cute, the cat couldn't give a toss! 😂😂😂

LeannieRVN · 02/07/2017 11:51

*MY 2 dogs and 2 cats.....

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 02/07/2017 13:19

My cats definitely knew first time round! They were suddenly even more affectionate than usual and kept pawing my tummy...then when I got a bump they'd both come and sit on it Grin. I doubt they'll do it this time as I'm usually carrying a shouty 9 month old!

Toomanydogs · 02/07/2017 18:26

Two of my dogs are much more affectionate and cuddly than usual, the rest are the same as they usually are! Had two days Friday & Saturday with no sickness but feeling awful, was sick this morning and feeling little better today.

boringbetty · 02/07/2017 20:34

I've have a bit of nausea but no sickness . But is anyone going to the toilet a lot (poos not wees) ? Sorry tmi

emwithme · 02/07/2017 20:45

I can't clean my teeth without retching and I think I'm 90% ginger ale. I'm so tired all the time, and my boobs are bloody agony.

The little furry asshats cats are ignoring me the usual amount, and mithering me the usual amount when it's food time so I'm not sure if they're aware of anything.

9 weeks tomorrow...apparently that's the point it stops being an embryo and starts being a foetus!

lookatthemoon · 03/07/2017 00:04

You are all making me wish I had a pet! My 2 year old keeps accidentally elbowing me in the boob which is excruciatingly painful. Does that count?

In fairness my boobs have tripled in size so it is hard for him to avoid them.

Emwithme - I also turned 9 weeks this weekend - bump! 😀

Emwahs · 03/07/2017 08:16

Sorry not been around for a few days, my best friend got married so all was go! Now off to a sailing course for a week! My husband knows how to keep us busy!! Thakfully the lady who runs the course says there shouldn't be a risk to pregnant woman as we are doing it on a larger boat.

I have two dogs don't think they are acting any different but it's hard to tell as one of them as soon as you sit down is always on your lap for a cuddle anyway.

boringbettt I have been going a little more but noticed a huge increase in wind as well lol!

halloumisandwich · 03/07/2017 09:08

My cat is definitely being more affectionate-she curls up with me when I fall asleep on the sofa each night!
I'm 9 weeks + 3 now and definitely feeling the bloat... having to wear baggy clothes to hide it. I am a bridesmaid in a couple of months (when I'll be 18 weeks, assuming all goes well this time), and we bought the dresses ages ago... I got a size up thinking I might be pregnant so it still fits with a bit of space now.. hopefully I'll be ok as this is my first! For those who have done this before, when did you start properly showing?!

RainyDayBear · 03/07/2017 11:26

Em I'm impressed you have the energy to go sailing!

We've been away for the weekend and it was lovely, had to tell PIL about the pregnancy though as it was quite obvious I wasn't drinking! Must tell my Mum this week now.

I had booking in this morning. It was actually really lovely (four bloody vials of blood aside!) as it was with the community midwife I had with DD, so was really nice to catch up with her and tell her how DD is getting on. I got to know her really well last time, was pleased she remembered us! Been referred for scans, and to the VBAC clinic (so I can be referred to a consultant for a c section, apparently you have to jump through the hoop!). Was very weird being back in the hospital as I was in for all sorts during my last pregnancy, but haven't been back since having DD! Annoyingly the disappointment of the day was that the canteen has stopped doing the bakewell tart flapjacks!

Nausea is still continuing, I am eating hula hoops just to get through the day now. Hope everyone is getting on okay!

God I could not face sailing! Feel seasick as it is! I am shit at being pregnant. Always in awe of those people who carry on as normal.

My mum is coming up tonight so she can take dd1 to her secondary school transition day tomorrow as I can't go in to work late enough to do the drop off. She's clearly going to guess as I am rough! Not being sick too much but constantly nauseous and dizzy. Then pils are coming to stay next week so I guess we'll have to tell them too.

OrangeCloud18 · 03/07/2017 12:21

I have booked my book in appointment for 14/07. As it's my first and my GP surgery did not know, what can I expect at my appointment? Can OH come?

We have told my parents and are planning to tell OH's parents this weekend.

Eclecticmama · 03/07/2017 12:23

Hello all, had a hectic few days at a friend's wedding and driving the length of the country. Sorry I haven't edited the list, haven't checked if someone else has done it.

Today I've had spotting, no cramps as such but fearing the worst as my symptoms have tailed off and I didn't have anything similar with my first.

Just have to wait and see I guess and try to stay positive

TriJo · 03/07/2017 13:15

Orange Endless questions! They have a lot of information that needs to be filled in at booking. Your OH can come, but he'll be kicked out of the room for certain questions (related to domestic violence). You'll have to give a urine sample and there are 3-4 vials of blood taken too. Mine was around an hour this time.

RainyDayBear · 03/07/2017 13:30

Orange OH can definitely come, but to be honest it's quite a dull appointment - mainly about you and your medical history, and explaining next steps such as scan referrals, appointment schedules, extra tests and vaccinations. Very little baby centred stuff to be honest! I didn't take DP to either of mine.

Had forgotten about that question TriJo it took me by surprise today as we'd been having a nice chat and she just got to that section of the form!

Eclectic Crossing fingers for you, can you ring the EPU and see if they can fit you in? Hoping for the best.

Rainy - now you're making me want hula hoops. Mmmmm.

Eclectic - no cramping is a good sign. Hopefully this is just one of those scary pregnancy things. Fingers crossed for you x**

ELFR · 03/07/2017 13:59

Finally accepted the boobs have taken over so been to M&S for some new bras. Practical and comfy but bloody ugly. Between these and the whining about nausea, my husband is a lucky lucky man Wink

ELFR · 03/07/2017 14:01

Orange - I just went by myself, it was pretty dull and took over an hour. He doesn't get as much leave as I do so wanted to make sure he can save it for when we need it.

boringbetty · 03/07/2017 14:09

Eclectic fingers crossed for you hopefully it's nothing to worry about

llamabeans · 03/07/2017 16:13

DH came to my booking appt and stayed the whole time! Have to go back for more blood though as they used a wrong bottle??? for one of my samples. Can confirm the lots of questions and I also got given lots of leaflets.

Emwahs · 03/07/2017 16:53

Well we booked the course before we found out I was pregnant, first day today and it was ok. But I am completely exhausted now. Time for a snooze on the couch.

I am dragging my DH to my appointment as we will both still be on on annual leave. Not looking forward to the blood tests tho!

OrangeCloud18 · 03/07/2017 17:29

We will both be on annual leave as well so I think that he will come too. Is there an internal exam or is it just questions and blood tests?

GingerRogers84 · 03/07/2017 17:36

My first appointment with midwife was at GP surgery. She took a wee sample and put me on the system.
Booking in appointment took place at my house and she asked loads of questions about family health history allergies etc. she didn't ask anything about domestic violence though?
Also I won't have any blood taken until my 12 week scan where they will do everything in one go!
Mine sounds very different to everyone else's! But then I am in Wales. 🤔

bluechameleon · 03/07/2017 17:53

Hi everyone. I'm 7-8 weeks (had scan 2 weeks ago and they said 5-6 weeks then!) This is my third pregnancy - I had an ectopic in 2013 then my son was born in 2014. I'm feeling much worse this time round - constant nausea and utter exhaustion. I've got my booking in on Wednesday then my scan on the 4th August.
