I managed to come home from a family gathering this weekend with a free 3 in one pram/ buggy/ car seat contraption, as well as two pregnancy books! I've got two cousins who both have babies under a year and one of them has just bought a fancy new buggy so the one I've now got will be handy for my DM to keep hold of if I don't use it myself so quite pleased as it's in great nick as well.

Ooh nice Toomanydogs! I'm terrified to buy/accept anything yet, scan can't come soon enough...

EmilyK I'm definitely not buying anything for quite a few months yet, even having had my scan, I'm still quite wary! When is your scan?
They were going to leave it at Grandparents' place but GP have already got a lot of clutter in the garage so I've left it at my parents' place lol.

Hi All, another long time lurker here but had my scan this morning and all is well. Measuring 13+1 and another sleepy one so had to do lots of shaking and jumping to wake this one up too! Had to drink 750ml and hour before my appointment time. I'd be interested in a fb group too, this is my first ever post so not sure how to message people?

@Pinkandwhite I'd be so grateful if you could message me too re the FB group. I'm also very new to Mumsnet and a bit useless with technology!

Got my scan tomorrow ladies!!! It's felt so far off for such a long time that I can't quite believe it's now so close.

Toomanydogs it's a week today, but I've convinced myself already that it's not good news...I honestly just want to know one way or the other...

ava - remember also to eat/drink something sugary before the scan, so the baby is awake. I didn't, and mine was fast asleep!

apricot - relieved to hear we had the same experience at the scan! Hopefully they'll be as chilled when they're out.

troika - I too am not on Facebook, so in the worst-case scenario we'll still have each other.

Scan went fine! Little babba was giving me a good kicking XD. Getting excited now turns out my first dates were exactly right! Due on the 12th of Feb, 12+1 today

EmilyK I know how you feel, I hadn't dared let myself start getting excited or anything before the scan. Luckily all went well and looks good, hope yours goes the same!

Hi all, I'm a bit of a lurker. I checked in when I first got my BFP and have posted a handful of times but this thread moved so quickly I just can't keep up haha. How do I join the fb group? Has it already been set up?

Scan went well, heard the heartbeat and saw their arms moving. Feeling so relieved and so excited! Good luck to the rest of you waiting for your scans. My EDD changed a bit to 6th Feb so I'm exactly 13 weeks today 😀😀😃

Sorry I have not been around lately had a rather hectic few days. Two vehicles in our household broke down and one is going to cost an absolute fortune as the turbo has failed :-( only had it six weeks.

Just been checking in this week on all the scan picture they are coming through thick and fast :-) congratulations for everyone.

Had my 2nd midwife appointment this week slightly early but she will be on annual leave when I am due to see her next. Found out my iron levels are a little low but not low enough to treat so will be trying to get more veg down me and taking some liquid iron as apparently if I don't increase my iron intake I will be anaemic by the next blood test. Got to hear the heart beat as well which was lovely to hear 150bpm which is good. but it still does feel real. I think I don't want to get attached until I know nothing is wrong at the 20 week scan xxx

Hope all you ladies are doing well and congrats on recent adorable scan pics! I don't use my Facebook account either so will just be hanging around on this thread 😄

Still being sick here but feeling a little better in between bouts and also eating more! My 4 year old told me to hurry up whilst I was spewing yesterday as he wanted a wee 😂 Scan in two days when I will be between 11 and half to 12 weeks ish!

Hi all - originally joined this group - then told due date was Jan 28th - so joined that group and their fb group - but due date now 2nd Feb - and I am decidedly far behind the Jan group ladies - so I'm back again!!

I have a 20 month old already and can't wait for her to be a big sister! Am 13+5 today and still feeling very rough - although the head cold I've had for a week is probably adding to it!!

May be tmi...but I've noticed this week that my week is cloudier than normal, anyone else? Doesn't feel like a UTI...

Emily - when I had a UTI I had zero symptoms. If you are suspicious might be worth doing a urine test.

Emily I have been on antibiotics l for a week for a UTI I didn't know I had - it was picked up on dipstick from midwife booking in. No symptoms to speak of, but once I looked back, cloudy urine was a possibility! Give the MW a call - they'll probably want you to do a sample! My GP said it was important to get on the antibiotics asap being pregnant - a penicillin variety I believe!

emily I agree worth a check just in case. My urine has been Cloudy right from the start of being pregnant and all test have come back fine.

Any of you on iron supplments and how do you put up with the taste especially the liquid one, can't take the tablets as they make me sick.
