I've PMd you pink Smile

EmilyK83 · 30/07/2017 22:04

So many lovely scan pics, congrats ladies!

I think I'm getting a little real bump too, I can't get rid of it when I suck my belly in anymore Smile

FB group sounds great - let us know when it's set up, thanks so much Pink for sorting!

SofiePendragon · 30/07/2017 22:16

Congrats to everyone who's had scans recently. I got the date for my 20 week scan through yesterday, which feels weird as 20 weeks still feels ages away.

Still feeling exhausted and sick a lot of the time. I'm 13 weeks now and I know I was feeling better by 14 weeks with DD, so I'm hoping I'll start feeling better soon. I'm also starting to get twinges of back pain occasionally, so I'm going to have to start being more careful I think - easier said than done when your toddler insists on being carried!

I keep trying to kid myself that I have a bump, but it's mostly fat. I have bought some maternity trousers for work though. The tummy band on them goes right up to my bra at the moment!

lynzmb · 30/07/2017 22:24

Keen to join the FB group when set up - not sure if I can send PM TO @Pinkandwhite through the Mumsnet app? Bit of a newbie Hmm

Louanne89 · 30/07/2017 22:31

@Pinkandwhite a Facebook group sounds like a great idea!!!

GingerRogers84 · 30/07/2017 23:43

Facebook group sounds good. How doth one go about sending a PM through the app?

Scan pics all looking great! 👌🏻

Poppyseed0202 · 31/07/2017 00:49

Hi all, I have been following this thread (and the previous) for a while... since I found out at the beginning of June and baby was the size of a poppyseed!
I'm now 13+2 with my first (due 2nd Feb, I know some of you are the same) I had my scan last week, which was such a wonderful experience followed by the awful experience of some bleeding the next day, which was terrifying esp since I was away in another country with work, another scan then confirmed baby was ok, and measuring 2wks bigger than he/she actually should be!
So still some bleeding, but I'm not too concerned... just thought I'd share my rollercoaster of emotion for anyone else who might be concerned or in the same boat! Love all the scan pics Smilewhat an overwhelming exp it is! Great idea on the FB page btw, will send a pm @Pinkandwhite

Pinkandwhite · 31/07/2017 08:20

So the facebook group is up!

Eeek I actually don't know how to send a PM through the new app but I'll message the people who have said they are interested in joinig and hopefully you'll see the message on the app.

Pinkandwhite · 31/07/2017 08:23

Oh poppyseed, what a rollercoaster for you. I had a similar experience. I had an early scan and everything looked great but the next day I started bleeding. All is well now but that was a very scary experience. I had a similar experience in my pregnancy with my daughter too. It makes it very hard to relax.

Pinkandwhite · 31/07/2017 08:25

What does everyone think about dying your hair/getting low lights in pregnancy? My hair is in a bad way! I'll probably just put up with it but I'd love to get it sorted out.

lookatthemoon · 31/07/2017 08:41

Hi Pink - can you pm me about facebook group too please!

RainyDayBear · 31/07/2017 09:28

Pink I'll pm you, thanks for organising! Will be easier to chat on there (I always feel I have to be more cryptic on Mumsnet!).

My hair badly needs dyeing but I'm holding off until the second trimester when most of the important development is done. That said my midwife last time around said it was fine at any point, so I'm probably being overly cautious.

pink ooo, PM the details please! I'd love to join in :) thanks for setting it up

Toomanydogs · 31/07/2017 10:12

Ooh could you PM Facebook group details as well please?

limomo82 · 31/07/2017 10:37

*Yes please for a PM to the Facebook group here as well.
*
sorry if I've missed anything important for anyone, my husband was taken to hospital on Thursday by ambulance and has meningitis. I have a three year old and I'm getting zero sleep between all that has happened in the last week(death in the family, funeral, and now meningitis) it's been a shocking week.

My scan is on Thursday and obviously he can't come either :(

toots123 · 31/07/2017 10:40

I don't think you can PM through the app, best to use the website. If pink is busy feel free to PM me with your email address and I'll try to add people

Ava1985 · 31/07/2017 11:33

limom that's awful about your husband and all that's gone on for you lately, hope your dh gets better soon Flowers

Congrats on all the lovely scan pics, exciting!

I'm still dealing with the glorious
nausea and vomitting but managing to eat more now than I did last week , which was shocking! Got my 12 week scan on Friday but in the afternoon so will have allll morning to wait! I'm excited and nervous in equal measures! Remind me ladies, how much did you drink beforehand and how long in advance to the appointment? I'm not brilliant at holding my bladder for long these days Grin

Hope you ladies have a lovely day x

EmilyK83 · 31/07/2017 11:40

Oh god limomo I'm so sorry, fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.

Ava I'm sure my midwife said a pint of fluid an hour before the scan...

lookatthemoon · 31/07/2017 11:58

Limomo - you poor thing! I really hope your DH is doing well.

Ava - I was told two big glasses of water 30 mins before but I'm pretty sure I had more ...

GingerRogers84 · 31/07/2017 12:17

@Pinkandwhite
Have sent you a message on FB! ☺️

I've stopped dying my hair with permanent colourant every 8 weeks or so like I did before. I now just dye with a semi permanent if I've had a big event, but have only done it once so far. I dye my hair a very similar shade to my natural colour though so it's not too noticeable. I've only got a couple of greys anyhow.
I'm sure low lights etc are ok as they don't touch your scalp and hairdressers are well ventilated but prob best to ask them.

Pinkandwhite · 31/07/2017 15:48

I think I've messaged everyone who has said they want to join the facebook group and replied to all messages but please let me know if I've managed to miss anyone.

Snozwanger · 31/07/2017 15:56

Pinkandwhite I can't work out how to PM you on the phone app. Was going to send you my Facebook URL so you could add me.

Had my first scan today and all is well so I'd like to join the group please if you could somehow add me.

Melody85 · 31/07/2017 16:05

Hi @pinkandwhite please can you message me too as I'd like to join! Thank you 😊

Loxy4527 · 31/07/2017 16:06

limomo hope your DH has a swift recovery, sounds awful everything you've been through x

Well it's finally coming around - scan tomorrow morning at 8.30am. So glad it's first thing, I can just go to sleep tonight, then get up, get ready and go. DH is excited too, I've promised him we can buy the baby their first teddy bear at the weekend if all goes well. My mum's been cheeky and already bought a couple of cuddly toys and hand made me a giant body pillow to cuddle in bed! Can't complain about the latter though, it's soooo comfy.

Troika · 31/07/2017 16:15

Oh gosh Limo, how awful for you.

I don't use Facebook, is everyone going to desert me??
