So sorry to hear that emwithme. Take good care of yourself Flowers

babayagga · 24/07/2017 12:28

My heart is breaking for you. At least now you know for sure- and I'd certainly bring out a bottle of chilled white wine at this point... Wine Take care of yourself! There's a good chance you'll be back on the forums before long.

boringbetty · 24/07/2017 17:06

That - what a lovely scan I'm excited for mine now on weds even tho I'm only 10 weeks

emwithme · 24/07/2017 18:43

Thattwat that is a bloody gorgeous scan. I'd've spent £18 on photos too!

emwithme · 24/07/2017 18:48

Thank you all for your lovely kind wishes. Have cried lots, and have an ERPC booked for Friday morning (the first available date).

I am full of Thatcher's Katy (I'm a Somerset girl these days so cider it is) and have bought gin and plenty of tonic for later. My boss was an absolute darling when I rang to tell him I wouldn't be in this week there are easier ways of getting out of doing Year End may have been mentioned

We are trying to keep cheerful and I know that more tears will come at some point. DH is in bed right now, I've had a nap this afternoon, and I'm cooking the roast beef that we should've had yesterday but didn't because I made the (obviously right) call that I needed doctors!

I wish you all truly happy pregnancies, with very easy labours (two coughs and a sneeze, as my mum said it took to deliver me), and lovely healthy babies at the end of it.

Ava1985 · 24/07/2017 18:53

So sorry to see the news em Flowers I hope you and your dh get your happy ending very soon. Much love X

lynzmb · 24/07/2017 19:05

Sending love your way @emwithme, take care of yourself Flowers xx

SofiePendragon · 24/07/2017 19:52

So sorry Em Flowers

pretzelpieces · 24/07/2017 20:22

emwith I'm so so sorry. What sad news :( thinking of you and hoping the coming days and weeks are as gentle as they can be on you.

emwahs Telling people went alright thank you. My close friend is really excited but the other two were more muted in their responses. I guess people don't get as excited when it's your second :/ it sounds like your mum was being quite unfair with you about work.

Thanks emily. I'm convinced my 'bump' is a food baby too. I've been eating all the cheese (and milk chocolate, and soya containing things) since weaning my allergy baby last week.

ava Bah, sorry about the uti. Not fun!

ginger that made me laugh! "Bag of poo tied round the middle". I'm also a maternity leggings fan (didn't stop wearing them between pregnancies either!). I'm going to do Daisy Birthing. It's a mixture of birth prep and antenatal yoga/relaxation. I found it really helpful during my last labour. Not as woo as it sounds and hoping to make some friends.

thattwat Glad you have a head now 😌 congratulations on the lovely scan.

Welcome poppy!

Scandalicity · 24/07/2017 20:24

So sorry emwithme, cannot imagine how you both must be feeling, take care & look after each other. Hoping Friday is as smooth as possible for you Flowers

That what a pic!! I am getting major scan envy now, mine isn't for another 2 weeks!!

EmilyK83 · 24/07/2017 20:40

Two weeks tomorrow for mine too Scandalicity - it honestly can't come soon enough!!

Pretzel I'm addicted to McDonalds milkshakes at the moment. As a Slimming World consultant, it feels a bit hypocritical...!

Emwahs · 24/07/2017 21:05

em again so sorry to hear the news. Hope everything goes the best it can.,

pretzel glad if all went ok with telling people. Thing is I don't even work for my mum. I have a stressful job as it is. Not really spoke to her much the last couple of days as I have been angry about the guilt trip she gives me and my other sister who could not work.

that lovely scan picture mine was a wriggler as well :-) was so cute to see.

Today I definitely feel fat probably bloat of the crap I ate earlier. But was cooking my tea earlier suddenly felt sick and threw up in kitchen sink! Two minutes later I was eating tea like nothing had happened! Very odd! I am 13 +2 today so bump is slowly starting to appear! :-)

Thattwatoverthere · 24/07/2017 21:50

em I hope Friday goes as well as it can do. I'm glad your boss is being supportive and also that it sounds like you have a great DH to get through it with. So hard to know what to say because nothing anyone can say makes things any better but I do know that wine was a big part of my mc healing last year so I'm also glad that you have cider and gin.

Thanks all for the scan comments, I can't stop looking at them! And had a strop earlier because OH fell asleep on them and creased them. The bastard. 😂

Really hope the time flies for those of you waiting for your scans still and enjoy lugging the big pack of notes around with you everywhere afterwards Grin. Have you all got to pay for pics or is my hospital just quite tight??

Still undecided between bloat and bump. I do have quite a roomy uterus apparently so maybe I'm an early grower rather than complete pig? My mum helpfully commented during the scan that my hip bones have gone Hmm. Only put on 1kg since my booking in appt which was a surprise.

I want to start telling my team at work but one of my close friends there has fertility issues and she gets very upset when her friends get pregnant (as did I after my loss so I do get it) so telling her first is only fair. But I'm a scaredy cat and am putting it off

Christ that was a long post, sorry about that!

Sherbet38 · 24/07/2017 23:01

Evening everyone. I'm just catching up on the thread. Had a busy long weekend with my DS 2nd birthday Smile

So sorry to hear your news Em, take care of yourself x

Lovely too see all the scan pictures. Ive had my scan date through for 15th Aug, hoping these couple of weeks will fly by. You can't help but worry until then can you.

boringbetty · 25/07/2017 06:14

That - hopefully your friend will be supportive and take the news well . My hospital charges £5 per pic so you got a good deal with yours

Pidgythe2nd · 25/07/2017 06:31

So sorry Em Flowers

Emwahs · 25/07/2017 07:21

em my hospital charged £3 for one or £5 for two not a bad deal.

Still suffering with headaches day number 12 now so off to docs at suggest if midwife to see what they can do but she did say they won't be able to do much least I can get my BP checked etc. Just sick of waking up with a raging headache. anyone else had this problem?
