Well fuck. That is all I can say right now.

Currently sitting in A&E. Started bleeding just after I posted earlier, DH made me ring the number on my notes. And then the cramping started, proper take my breath away cramps, so now rather than eating a lovely roast dinner and relaxing on my sofa, I'm on an uncomfortable chair having had bloods taken, waiting to be seen.

So if you could cross everything, that would be great. DH is being an absolute star.

Hello,
I'm new and hoping to join.
I'm 12 weeks as of tomorrow with first DC. I have my scan on Wednesday and would love to share the journey and support with everyone on here.

I've read through the most recent posts on the thread, @emwithme fingers are crossed tightly for you.

Xxxxx

Thank you all. Bleeding has pretty much stopped that is not a fucking cue for it to start again, thank you body, my temperature was a bit high and my blood pressure was through the roof no shit sherlock, I was a bit worried and cramps have pretty much died down. Hospital think it may be that the UTI wasn't quite cleared by the antibiotics but aren't sure so I need to go to the EPU in the morning with a urine sample, and they'll scan me when I'm there too. It may be a long wait in the morning as it's the Emergency Clinic so we've been pre-warned to take a book as we may be there a couple of hours.

I'm glad I told my boss I was pregnant after the 8 week scan so I can just ring him in the morning, tell him what's happened and not have to properly explain everything, though. (It'll just be "Hey, it's me, started bleeding at the weekend so am off for a scan. Will call later and let you know what's happening" rather than either having to bluff it because I don't want to tell them or telling him over the phone that I'm pregnant).

babayagga · 23/07/2017 23:38

I am so relieved to hear that the bleeding and cramping have stopped! This must have been quite an evening for you. Not long now till you go to the EPU and know for sure.

lookatthemoon · 24/07/2017 00:58

Just catching up on this now! Emwithme - how terrifying that must have been for you!! Hopefully it is just a UTI. Am so glad to hear bleeding has stopped. If it makes you feel any better when I had my UTI I had no symptoms except really awful cramps and lower back pain (didn't feel like UTI). Made me so paranoid something serious was wrong.

lookatthemoon · 24/07/2017 01:00

On the UTI issue - what antibiotics were prescribed for you?

I had Keflex - 2 a day for five days which doesn't seem like a lot.

Ava1985 · 24/07/2017 07:32

emwith sorry to read your scary news this morning, fx all goes well for you today and all well with baby.

On the uti note, I had symptoms of a dull pressure and urgency to wee too but the sensation was unnerving as its all around the same place isn't it! Tmi but the smell and colour from my urine was the worst , got a 7 day course of nitrofurantoin, hope that's spelt right!

Emwahs · 24/07/2017 07:38

Relieved to hear the bleeding has stopped, I really do hope it's just the UTI causing all the problems. Good luck at the clinic this morning. Fingers crossed all goes well. Checking this post this morning was one o me the first things on my mind to see how you were xx

EmilyK83 · 24/07/2017 07:47

Keeping everything firmly crossed for you this morning emwithme - thinking of you Flowers

Snozwanger · 24/07/2017 10:06

Hope everything is ok emwithme x

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 24/07/2017 10:47

Thinking of you Em. I really hope things go well today x

Thattwatoverthere · 24/07/2017 11:02

Hope you're ok emwithme and that you get good news 🤞

Just had my scan and it went so well. Baby measuring 12 weeks and wriggling around like mad. Ended up with 6 pictures because it was posing and making the sonographer laugh, well worth the £18 I did have to pay.

Sorry if this posted twice, phone ate the last post I tried to write...

Unfortunately it's not good news. Baby stopped growing at 9 weeks. We are waiting to speak to the on-call doctor to do the pre-checks on an ERPC.

DH is being a star and we are both trying to be stoic.

There will be much cider, gin and unpasteurised blue cheese this afternoon.

Thattwatoverthere · 24/07/2017 11:33

Oh emwithme I'm so sorry to hear that, look after yourself FlowersGin

RainyDayBear · 24/07/2017 12:14

Em I'm so so sorry. Thinking of you both. There are just no words, but sending you very un-mumsnetty hugs Flowers
