Hi all,

Just on for a little moan - been feeling really nauseous the last few days and have had heartburn and some headaches - all in all not the most fun!

I'm 8+5 and I am so tired these last few days - I'm sleeping 12 hours at night and also napping at work mid afternoon 😳

Really hoping these symptoms don't last much longer, they're making me miserable (feel bad for complaining about when some have it so much worse!)

EmilyK83 · 18/07/2017 18:07

Awww Squinty - hope the symptoms ease up soon! If it makes you feel any better, I'm now 9+6 and the nausea is starting to subside...hang on in there!

Emwahs · 18/07/2017 18:35

Baby penguin is alive and kicking! They have put me further forward then I thought I was. According to dates I am 11+5 but today i was told I am 12+3 due 27th Jan but staying in this thread!! Got to know you all now Smile

Been having a little bit of stomach discomfort and stretching pains since scan wondering if that's normal after all the prodding and poking. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's scans in the coming weeks xxx

Exciting looking at these scan pics, got mine on Thursday!
Was sent to hospital this morning through A&E by my dr for the sickness (keeping nothing down and still losing weight), got there at 1, seen at 3, have been on the ward now nearly 4 hours and not seen a Dr yet and no idea if I'm staying in or not so getting a bit frustrated as they haven't offered me any food or drink today, was on a drip which ran out and they said dr would be around to review (2.5 hrs ago) asked again and apparently won't be round until 9.30 now as they're doing the night changeover Hmm

limomo82 · 18/07/2017 21:11

Ooh no too many I hope you get seen too soon. Kick off about the lack of food, my mum was recently in hospital and we realised the poor lady next to her hadn't eaten for 24 hours once and had no one to speak up for her. I lost my temper and she got some food. Just because you are struggling to eat doesn't mean they shouldn't give you any.

Hope the Dr comes round soon.

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 18/07/2017 21:16

Oh no TooMany, hope it gets sorted soon x

Congratulations to everyone who has had a scan! How exciting for you all x

Scandalicity · 19/07/2017 06:51

Glad everyone is doing well with booking in & scans Grin mine isn't for another 3 weeks when I'll be 12+6 - feels aaaaages away!!

So glad you have all mentioned starting to show too! I thought I was imagining it!!! It's definitely not food as my appetite is at the lowest it's ever been in my adult life right now, and it's making me paranoid! I wore a dress to work Monday & Tuesday, Mondays was ok, yesterday not so much & have put trousers back on this morning and they are beyond tight Blush not sure what I'm going to wear for another 4 weeks & manage to keep it hidden!

Emwahs · 19/07/2017 07:46

toomany sorry to hear about your struggles did you get seen in the end? Sounds like you are still suffering

I can't do the top button of my trousers up but someone gave me a tip to use an elastic band of hairband to help keep it together. Its mad to think baby is the size of a peach by now. They suddenly start growing loads! It's scary x

babayagga · 19/07/2017 09:21

Hi all - since many of you have been getting your 12-week scans, and I am due for mine next week, perhaps you could clarify something:

Is the 12-week scan done vaginally or through your stomach? If vaginally, then I imagine having a full bladder at the same time would be very uncomfortable... How is one supposed to deal with that? Hmm

limomo82 · 19/07/2017 09:49

Babay it is done through the stomach. At this stage vaginal shouldn't be necessary x

emwithme · 19/07/2017 09:51

12 week scan is abdominal, and the wee afterwards is the Best Wee Ever.

(For vaginal scans you need an empty bladder, when I had my MC last time they started doing an abdominal scan, couldn't find anything so sent me for a wee, then did a vaginal scan)

My 12 week scan is at precisely 13 weeks. As long as it's between 11+6 and 14+1 apparently they can get the measurements they need for screening.

EmilyK83 · 19/07/2017 11:34

Gorgeous scan pics *Emwahs"!

Yeah, my midwife told me yesterday anywhere between 11 and 14 weeks for the dating scan - hoping mine is sooner rather than later as the suspense is killing me...I just want to know everything is ok!

10 weeks today! A quarter of the way there! Smile

Toomanydogs · 19/07/2017 12:27

Just got home, stayed in overnight and had plenty of fluids, new anti sickness drug is helping have managed to eat and keep food down! Still feel rubbish but I just need bed rest wHich is going to drive me mad lol. On the bright side got a scan today (to make sure it's not twins) although 'official' one is tomorrow, baby is very active and good strong heartbeat!

Hi ladies,

Don't suppose you have room for another?!

Hope your all doing well and congrats on your pregnancies, sorry for some of the ladies that are having problems/recent loses Flowers

Just to update myself, I'm 31 pg with baby no.3 (dd7 and ds4) and edd 16th Feb! Got my 12 week scan 2 weeks on Friday and a little nervous/excited !!

Sympathy for all suffering with sickness, I have been pretty strung out on all day nausea this time but largely managing to avoid actual vomitting!

Have booking in appointment tomorrow at a day off 10 weeks so bit later than the rest of you? This has changed since my last dc as the booking in appt followed the 12 week scan at the hospital, so feels strange to me!

Anyway sorry to waffle on! Hope all you ladies are having a good day Smile X

Ava1985 · 19/07/2017 12:33

Lovey photo toomany congrats! Hope your feeling better soon x

EmilyK83 · 19/07/2017 12:42

Awww Toomanydogs - glad you're feeling better, and what a lovely scan!

Hey Ava, welcome and congrats!

Snozwanger · 19/07/2017 13:16

More sympathy for fellow nausea sufferers from me. Is anyone else on prochlorperazinr for theirs? Been on it since the 7th week. It took the edge off the worst do I can manage to eat but have still vommed twice.

I've been eating two breakfasts a couple of hours apart and mostly been living off cheese and crisp sandwiches.

Jeans are so tight now I'm wondering if I can bust out the maternity o end already...? Hmm

Toomanydogs · 19/07/2017 13:39

Thanks, I'm actually letting myself be exited properly for the first time now! Baby was movingly around loads and my doctor was lovely.

Snozwanger · 19/07/2017 13:52

I've got my first scan in just over a week toomanydogs The suspense is killing me!

Toomanydogs · 19/07/2017 17:21

These first few weeks do seem to go on forever lol! Keep telling myself it'll all be worth the waiting and sickness haha.

boringbetty · 19/07/2017 17:27

I've just got my scan appointment letter . It isn't till 29th august . I'll be 15 weeks then I am so mad . Think I'm going to get a private scan before then

cookingbabydunc · 19/07/2017 17:54

15 weeks! Oh no, that's rubbish! Is it worth giving them a call to see if they can bring it forward?

I've got just less than 2 weeks to wait for my scan and I'll be 12+5 and that is feeling like forever!

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 19/07/2017 18:20

Boring - definitely give them a call as there must be a mistake. They should be able to see you a week or two earlier.

SofiePendragon · 19/07/2017 19:05

boring definitely call them and tell them your dates. They should be able to see you before that
