New thread time ladies!

Ahhh Thattwat I'm sure it's absolutely fine - it's good your scan is so soon, I'm jealous, haha! And congrats on the house move...we're talking about moving in January, which could be interesting...

I had a random one last night - was lying in bed reading, sneezed, and felt my stomach muscles cramp up massively all of a sudden...was a bit worrying!! Booking appointment tomorrow, I honestly can't wait...

I get that all the time emily, but feels a bit like something is tearing inside me. I think I had it before pg so am trying not to worry about it, I bet it's nothing

I'll be 11+4 next Monday so a little bit sooner than I expected but I got my booking in appt at about 6 weeks because of a previous mc. Feel a bit fast tracked!!

Hey everybody! Just checking in - not much been going on. My boobs aren't too sore anymore (much to DH's delight ) but my nipples get weirdly sensitive sometimes. The nausea has been getting better overall except yesterday I brought up my lunch, that was nasty. Keep telling the placenta that it needs to hurry up and start doing its job! Haha.

Do I carry on counting the pregnancy by the weeks based on LMP still or should I switch to the new estimate my private sonographer gave me? 10 weeks by the former method but 9+4 by the latter. I've switched all my apps over to the revised due date but they said it could change again at the 12 week scan.

It's nice I've got some things to look forward to - going on holiday for 5 days tomorrow then telling our parents at the weekend, then next week it's the scan

Afternoon ladies! I need to do a proper catch up on the thread as I've been a bit AWOL what with getting married and everything. Officially a Mrs now!!

Had our 12 week scan this morning and have been put back by a couple of days so due date is now 2nd Feb! I no longer feel like an imposter!! Was very very surreal to see baby moving but not be able to feel a thing!!

Hi ladies! Hope you're all well! Some gorgeous pics on here! So exciting!

I've had my 12w scan appt today, it's going to be in a couple of weeks when I will only be 11weeks 5days 😳 I told the midwife in my booking in appt that I'm off work for the first 2 weeks of August so would be ideal if they could make it for some time in that 2 weeks.
But I don't know if perhaps she was confused and thought I would be on holiday or away for that fortnight as it's booked for the last Friday I'm in work 🙈(I can get it off though)

Do you think I should ring them and explain that I won't even be 12w at the date they've given me and actually will be totally available for the whole fortnight between 12 and 14 weeks?

I'm just worried that I may not see something or something may be missed as I won't be quite 12 weeks 😳

Or am I worrying over nothing as the date is is just 2 days out, and won't make any significant difference??

Any advice appreciated xx

Misty I'm a first timer so not sure, but would've thought 2 days before would be ok?

From what I've read, the dating scan can be anytime between 11-14 weeks, so that should be fine? :)

Hey misty, if you cannot make the appointment ring the number on the letter and change the day. The receptionist should be able to help you wth this. X

Misty it's my first as well but I also think just 2 days shouldn't make a difference. Not too long to wait now! My 12 week scan is 2 weeks tomorrow and I cannot wait. I never like to wish time away but I can't wait to get the reassurance that my little bubba is alive and kicking.

Can I ask, is anybody else starting to show? I am genuinely showing! Initially I could tell it was a bit of bloating but now, even first thing in the morning I look different and then it grows throughout the day a bit as I eat. I'm not finding it that easy to conceal in my regular clothes. Turns out my clothes are more fitted than I'd realised!

Cooking yes im only 8+3 and im massive already but its my 3rd pregnancy i lost the 2nd at 13 weeks. I keep reminding myself how its all bloat, I didnt show until 16 weeks with my first im not sure how long I can keep this a secret for as its getting fairly obvious :/

Odansetron is great stuff, had it in my first pregnancy. It's what they prescribe for chemotherapy patients but is super expensive so they don't really like to prescribe it and will usually only do so if you've tried everything else.

I'm now 9+5 we think but not even made my booking appointment yet. Really must get my arse in gear.

cooking I'm pretty sure I'm showing too, although to others I'm not sure it's obvious (9+5). Same as you, grows throughout the day, but there's still a little bump there in the morning too!

noparticularpattern scan pic is lovely! Making me more excited for mine tomorrow morning! I will only be 11 + 5 but apparently that fine. Finally think my mum is getting excited about it too!

loxy. I was told by midwife to still go from LMP for dating until my dating scan so that's what I am doing even though I had a private scan a few weeks ago.

cooking I think I am very slowly starting to show stomach has a little pot belly to it but feels firm. I am taking pictures once a week now to see if there is any diffference as I will probably notice more then. Stomach muscles are hurting today so I am presuming that's the muscles strecthing to make room. The headache has finally just shifted let's just hope it does not come back tomorrow.

I've got my scan in 1 week. I can't wait!! Will be a huge difference from the blob I saw at 6 weeks. (Hopefully!!).

To all those wondering if they'll be far enough along- I was 11+6 by LMP but was put back to 11+3 today and they got all the measurements fine (once I drank some more and waited for my bladder to be more full- 2.5 litres it took and I've needed a wee ever since!!

I've been off doing holiday-stuff with friends for a couple of weeks (actually had 30-odd crazy cat ladies over for a week's shenanigans) so I've not been on the thread.

Had booking in with midwife last Thursday, and scan appointment is two weeks today (will be 13 weeks exactly). I've also got a UTI according to my urine sample, so I've started on antibiotics today.

I'm not so pukey any more (11+0 today), so of course I'm worried that it's all gone wrong but obviously trying to remain upbeat! I've been having some weird stretchy pains (the easiest way to describe it is the opposite of period cramps) but everyone says that's normal, so here I am just cracking on. I'm still really tired, and DH is being an absolute star.

Cooking I'm definitely showing, 10 weeks today and I've just given in to the siren call of maternity jeans. I'm about as big as I was at 14-15 weeks last time.

I went for my 12 week scan today but as I am only 11+2 the sonographer asked me to come back on Fri instead as she said it was slightly too early 🙄 She didn't even try to get any if the measurements. I did get a mini scan though and saw some lovely movement!

It's nice to hear that others are also starting to show. It's quite exciting isn't it?!
I text my mum last night to say, we don't have twins in our family do we? To which I found out that we do! 😳
I'm just trying to remind myself that everybody's body is different and we all grow and show at different times. I just wasn't expecting to see mine yet as it's my first baby.

It's so lovely to see the scan pictures coming in, it's definitely making me more and more excited! Have a good day everyone, glad to hear the sickness is starting to reduce for some 🎉

I think i must be showing a bit as none of my clothes fit me properly! Think I'm too small for maternity jeans though, living in old baggy jeans and leggings at the moment.

My scan is on Friday, I'll be 12+2. This week is going very slowly!

Booking appointment done and dusted! Now just need to wait for scan appointment...next midwife is 3 days before my wedding, haha! Going to be a busy week that week!
