Lulu - I presume it would be abdo scan if you are that far. I've abdo scans at 6 weeks and 7.5 weeks (diff pregnancies) and hb was detected each time. The only time I had a transvaginal was before 6 weeks.

Good luck! ☺️

OrangeCloud18 · 11/07/2017 13:23

Lulus I'm having mine at lunch time tomorrow and they said it will be abdo except if they cannot see anything, then they will do an internal one to try to see. I should be 7 weeks 6 days as well tomorrow.

Still having nausea here so I am glad I am on holidays but dreading work next week. I will have to tell manager if I still feel like this...

LulusForest · 11/07/2017 14:00

Thanks look and orange, I'll make sure I drink plenty of water beforehand then! I am so excited to (hopefully) see our little bean, but also feeling quite nervous in case it doesn't show a healthy little bean. Especially as my symptoms have been quite mild, so I don't really feel all that pregnant!

Good luck with yours, orange!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 11/07/2017 14:14

Hi everyone do you mind if I join?

I'm 8 weeks tomorrow with number 3.

I already have DS 2yrs and DD 5mths

Scandalicity · 11/07/2017 15:46

Good luck lulu & orange on your scans! I have one booked for Friday AM when I'll be 9+1, just seemed like such a long time from 6+1 to 12 weeks, so want to check all is ok in there!

Had midwife booking appt this morning, all registered, blood taken & can call the local hospital on Friday for a 12 week scan date Smile

loulou489 · 11/07/2017 16:22

Hey there wonder if I could join the thread please? Have had a wee read down the page and am so relieved to see my feeling like a bloated nauseous zombie is not uncommon! I'm about 10 weeks and this is my first so all this is so new to me, hoping I'll get some good advice from this site ;) No actual sickness for me just constant nausea and fatigue, sure everyone around me is already sick listening to me moaning lol....fingers crossed it passes soon I am not a good soldier! x

Emwahs · 11/07/2017 16:25

Sorry I have had a busy week or so, had my booking in appointment yesterday all went well and I am low risk but it took three attempts to get blood out of me, they always struggle apparently it's coz I don't drink enough which DH took great pleasure in goating about as since the day we met he says I don't drink enough. Hopefully will get 12 week scan date through in the next few days. Maybe then it will all seem real. Still not convinced I am pregnant apart from suddenly deciding I can't stomach fish after drooling over a fish pie, and boobs still really painful. Least the symptoms are keeping me positive xx

TriJo · 11/07/2017 16:36

Lulus Highly unlikely to be dildocam if you're around 8 weeks. Sonographer had no problem getting our little bean with an abdominal scan at 8+1.

9+1 today - back in work after the vilest of vile bugs. DH is taking today off because he's still in the horrors but maybe I've just learned to function while on the verge of puking!

Toomanydogs · 11/07/2017 18:01

Been to see dr who has given me some lovely drugs and so far is holding sickness at bay as long as I remember to take them! However a main side effect is tiredness, so not sure I'm going to be moving off the sofa for the next couple of weeks... Have my 12 week dating scan next week, starting to let myself get a bit excited now and hoping sickness will fade naturally in the next few weeks as well.

MistyBxx · 11/07/2017 18:41

Hiya girlies!
Mind if I jump in? I'm very nervous 🙈 I'm 9+2
I'm age 32 baby number 1... it's a 🌈 baby as I lost my first pregnancy in March this year. Hence I'm so nervous now... I've known I'm pg since the start of June but have avoided the boards 🙈 I've had an early scan where I saw a lovely heartbeat 😍 and have my booking in appointment with the midwife tomorrow. So I really want to chat to other expectant mammas and see how everyone is doing at this stage 😊

lookatthemoon · 11/07/2017 20:14

Welcome new people Smile

Misty - sorry to hear about your loss in March FlowersThere are a few of us here who have suffered losses and know how anxious this time can be.

Glad to hear the bug has subsided somewhat Trijo.

I have a fun new symptom. Insomnia! Keep waking up at 3 am and can't get back to sleep. Angry

Scandalicity · 11/07/2017 20:29

Hi misty, were you on the November 17 thread? I seem to remember your name (I was kaydee on there), i was on that thread but unfortunately had an ectopic - managed to fall again straight away, so feeling very lucky. So sorry about your MC Flowers

SquintySquirrel · 11/07/2017 21:04

Hi all new joiners!

I had my early scan this afternoon so I'm 7+5 which is what we thought so all looks good so far and saw the flickering heartbeat so that was lovely!

Booking in appt this week but seems like it'll be a long wait until the next scan at 12 weeks!

Haven't told anyone yet and not sure when we will - I want to tell our parents but I am worried about jinxing things before 12 weeks Confused

GingerRogers84 · 11/07/2017 21:36

Hello new people! 👋🏻

Nausea and hunger combo has reached new heights today!

My trousers are resolutely uncomfortable now! I think it's all the food I'm consuming though! 😂

MistyBxx · 11/07/2017 21:52

Oh thanks girlies, wow it's like you're reading my mind already... I am starving constantly! Which is just as well because I've also been feeling incredibly nauseous for 3 weeks and the only thing that stops the nausea is more food 😩 I have put on 8lbs in 5 weeks and my trousers are begging for mercy 🙈 I know it's not a bump and is definitely just bloating and too much food but I'm seriously wishing I could live in leggings right now lol.

@Scandalicity you're right I was on the November board, very briefly before the mc happened. I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic 🌺 but look where we are now 😊xx

bluechameleon · 11/07/2017 21:57

smiling wow, that's going to be a small gap between 2 and 3!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 12/07/2017 07:15

I'm sorry to hear about the losses, I lost my first baby at 14 weeks before ds then I lost my daughter at 18 weeks after ds so every pregnancy is rather terrifying for me.

bluechameleon number 3 was not planned and it took me a few weeks to get used to the idea, I will have 3 under 3 Confused

EmilyK83 · 12/07/2017 07:29

Welcome newbies - and congrats on the scan SquintySquirrel - that's amazing, you must be so happy!

9 weeks today for me - every time I get to a brand new week I feel a little bit more confident that this is going to work out...

Nausea seems to be subsiding a bit but my appetite is ridiculous - I'm eating so much! And a new symptom this week - increased CM, which is...lovely, haha!

SquintySquirrel · 12/07/2017 09:08

Morning all,

Following yesterday's scan I've stupidly been googling about the baby's heart rate - we measured 7+5 which was as expected and the hb was 119 - the sonographer was happy with everything and it's only since reading on google that I'm worried 119 is a bit low for 7+5?

Wondering if anyone else has scanned around these dates?

EmilyK83 · 12/07/2017 11:49

Ahhhh Squinty googling is evil! I'd just take it as reassurance that the sonographer was happy - I'm sure they'd have said if there was anything to worry about Smile

A milestone for me today...the first time I've had to run into a cafe's toilet to be sick to avoid doing it on a busy street Blush

limomo82 · 12/07/2017 12:55

Hello just checking in and saying hi! 9+4 here now, the nausea has mostly subsided but when I do get it, it almost always results in actual sick.

I'm getting lots of stretching pains on my left hand side. Hubby is worried, and wants me to see the Dr. I'm not sure it's necessary yet.

The only other thing is I cannot use public loo's anymore including those at work. Confused I'm getting so sick when I go in them. Got a mini bump now which I guess was inevitable after already having one. Struggling to hide it at work.

Ooo and got a scan date 3rd Aug! Excited and nervous!

limomo82 · 12/07/2017 12:56

Oh and I've just done an Asos order for a few maternity bits as I can't hack the squeeze on my work clothes anymore. I didn't want to buy anything pre scan but I'm struggling!

OrangeCloud18 · 12/07/2017 13:21

I had my private scan earlier today and I am much less pregnant than we thought (yay irregular cycles!), 6 weeks tomorrow it would seem but we saw baby's heartbeat which makes me feel so much better!
My new EDD is now 07/03/17 and I need to cancel my booking in appointment on Friday because it will be too early for blood tests, etc.
So I am going to head to the March 2018 but will probably still lurk on this one Smile

GingerRogers84 · 12/07/2017 13:48

12 week scan set for 26 July! 😍🎉

TriJo · 12/07/2017 14:00

Orange I wouldn't necessarily cancel it - I was pretty sure on dates and they did my booking appointment at 6+2.
