March thread already. Wow.

Decided against the Angelsounds, I think I am OK. I thought last night I am starting to feel the little one. Like a feathery touch from the inside, it can't be long now that it will become more clear.

But ordered the seat belt adjuster and a nursing pillow! My sleep is still rubbish and last night I couldn't find a single position I am comfy in.

Brens13 · 29/06/2017 17:31

Anyone else getting lots of stabbing pains in their breasts? I've had it on and off for about a week now, can get really sore. Don't think I should sit in the office cupping them for comfort tho 😂

ScotsLamb · 29/06/2017 18:47

Sorry Brens my boobs have settled down. It's about the only bonus!

Hope yours aren't too sore for long.

It's toad in the hole for tea tonight. I'm aiming for two different types of veg.

CheesecakeAddict · 29/06/2017 19:09

Mine go through stages of being like that brens but only if I am wearing my pre-preggo bra which is too small.

Ok alarm set for 2.45. Me vs 12 teenage boys in Gatwick airport. Wish me luck!

Brens13 · 29/06/2017 19:14

Thanks both. Enjoy your dinner scots I love toad in the hole.

Good luck cheesecake. I'm shopping on Saturday so may get refitted for some bras to see if that helps.

rebs1993 · 29/06/2017 19:59

@Brens13 I have had them a few times too, I'm the same with the cupping, I had realisation I was doing it at the nurses station just before speaking to a relative, was mortified! Blush

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/06/2017 20:23

@Miami, I did wonder if maybe i was dehydrated, I'm drinking LOADS of water, but equally going to the loo a lot so may just be passing it straight through, who knows.

@Lixon sorry to hear the anxiety is troubling you too. I'm hoping i'll get back to a relaxed state soon, hope you do too.

@Scotslamb it's so weird you ask as i've been thinking about this today. For the past week, up until the last few nights, i've slept really well on my left side and hardly woken up on my back at all. Then, the last few nights (incidentally when i've been anxious, restless and have woken a lot more times in the night) i've woken on my back a lot. I got one of the big U pillows from Amazon, and I do rate it. I've got used to it now and it doesn't make my back ache as much now, so i'm going to stick with it. I think it was just taking some perseverance to get used to sleeping with that in my way as such! :) Thanks for the info re the Uphill blog, i'll take a look now.

@Biginjapan thank you for letting me know your essentials, i've been gifted a sling so will definitely use that! Good luck with the car hunt, sorry I don't know anything about them so can't help you out with that.

I've eaten ravioli for tea - pretty lame in terms of nutrition but i'm shattered and home alone, and needed something quick and easy. Good excuse huh!!

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/06/2017 20:24

@Peachi by the way, i've got the seat belt extender thing too and love it!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 29/06/2017 21:31

@Peachi82 @Mrsbluebell17 Which seat belt adjuster please? 🙂

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/06/2017 21:36

Biker I got this one, although you may want to read reviews of others as it was an impulse purchase for me and although I'm pleased with it and it has good reviews on Amazon (4.5 stars I think??) , I don't know if there are better models and offers:

Clippasafe Bump Belt https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0007VB6WI/ref=cmswwrcppapip_zZDLflNPpmZv9

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 29/06/2017 22:39

Thank you 😊

Miami81 · 29/06/2017 23:04

Mrsbluebell so in terms of water it may be that you actually need a small bit of sugar/salt to retain some of the water. There have been a few days when I have felt that hangover feeling of needing g to drink gallons of water and it didn't do anything to get rid of the thirst until I had a packet of baked crisps with it. Maybe worth a google.

CheesecakeAddict · 30/06/2017 02:29

It appears my morning sickness is back with a vengeance. I hoped it had gone at 14 weeks and yesterday was just a fluke, but apparently not...

Peachi82 · 30/06/2017 03:58

4am again... Why oh why...?
This child doesn't seem to like nutrition and sleep... Funny years ahead I guess.

Mrsbluebell17 · 30/06/2017 04:07

Peachi I literally just thought the same thing..... oh 4am again?! Hmm hope you're ok.

CheesecakeAddict · 30/06/2017 04:52

Peachi, maybe the baby is just preparing you for the first few weeks!

Miami81 · 30/06/2017 04:55

Waves to peach, bluebell and cheesecake!!! I really hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Why oh why am I awake again......

glastogal · 30/06/2017 08:48

Can't believe it.. seems I may have been exposed to chicken pox at the weekend. And now I have a cold. Off to the docs for me today!!

ScotsLamb · 30/06/2017 11:20

Oh no. What has the doctor said?

Oysterbabe · 30/06/2017 12:02

Have you had it before?

glastogal · 30/06/2017 12:57

I don't remember having it.. I know my sisters had it and I didn't so I probably had it before them but my mum is a bit non-commital about whether I did or not. She thinks I did. Thought it was best to speak to someone as I don't want to end up one of those cautionary tales!! Dr is waiting to hear back from a virologist but thinks I probably am immune.

Lixon · 30/06/2017 13:20

Just had my midwife appointment and the lady I saw was so nice! I had been very anxious about it, hadn't slept all week, didn't realise it was a group session as I never received the appointment letter and received some awful news by text just as I sat down so wasn't feeling brilliant at the start.

But I think I had the midwife who heads up the team and she was so kind and even though they don't usually at 16w she was happy to try and find a heartbeat and managed it. Now just hoping I can get through to 20 weeks (hopefully feeling some movement before then..)

I hope you hear back quickly glasto and that you are immune!

And that you feel a bit less nauseous soon Cheesecake 🙂

Carley27 · 30/06/2017 13:33

Hopefully you're immune Glasto and the cold doesn't stick around for too long!

Glad you're feeling a bit better Peachi, lovely that you're starting to feel movement!

What was your group session for Lixon - your 16w appointment? Hope you're ok after the bad news, hearing the heartbeat would have been amazing :)

Is it just me or is time going very fast all of a sudden? I think it's because of all of the appointments etc.! I have my 16wk on Tuesday, gender scan next Fri, Physio the following Tue, 20 wk scan 4th August.. guessing it will all slow down again after that Grin

glastogal · 30/06/2017 14:40

Hospital are checking my booking in bloods for immunity but apparently this kid probably wasn't infectious on Saturday anyway.. I feel better (in theory, I still have a cold) and less worried - so that's good!

Peachi82 · 30/06/2017 15:19

My nursing pillow has arrived - off for an afternoon nap!

I think it's too early for regular movements, but I felt something. Not again since the first time, but I was maybe not concentrating enough.

Still not got in touch with anyone regarding the 16 week appointment...
Tomorrow is an open day in the hospital, not sure if we're going. I feel it's far too early to view a delivery room, I don't even want to think about delivery. And when I do, I really want to be a koala bear or a kangaroo... You give birth to a little something that from then on lives in a pouch and you can always check on it. This sounds far more superior to what we're doing...

Anyway, off to dream land.
