Glasto hope you're ok
Peachi haha that sounds like the way to do it! I'd prefer to be a koala 🐨 They're cuter.

I fainted and threw up at work yesterday. If I tell my mum anything she goes and does loads of research for me, or rings up a midwife lecturer at the uni she works at! And she's told me that our blood pressure drops to its lowest mid pregnancy, and then goes back up at around 25 weeks. So I'm 18 weeks tomorrow, only 7 more to go!

CheesecakeAddict · 30/06/2017 19:03

That doesn't sound very good at all MontyPants. I definitely think it needs looking into.

feelingcalledlove · 01/07/2017 06:53

I know this has been asked a million times but I can't remember the answer - who do I message about joining the Facebook group? Have FB announced now so I'm not paranoid about being found out anymore 😀

Monty Hope you feel better this morning

Peachi How was the pillow?
Which pillows would everyone recommend? I feel like a purchase is not far away!

Brens13 · 01/07/2017 07:04

Hey feeling I'm an admin in the group but can't seem to add email addresses on my phone annoyingly. If you search for the group name - December 2017 (MN) - and request to join I will approve it. Otherwise I don't remember who else is... scots can add emails I think.

Happy Saturday everyone. I'm going baby gear wish list window shopping with my sis today. Going to take lots of pics for my pinterest board so can start planning what to buy 😊

Brens13 · 01/07/2017 07:29

feeling I've checked and I think QueenEnid has added the most people so would probs be the best person to send your email address to if you can't find the group.

Peachi82 · 01/07/2017 07:51

Pillow was fantastic! So comfy.

I wanted to wait with the Facebook group until I told all my bosses. I told one now (and he was lovely), but there are more to come...

purplek1tty · 01/07/2017 08:47

Good morning all, still quite new to the thread so can't recall if this has come up at any point?

Have any of you experienced round ligament pain or general growing aches and pains?

Was on my feet quite a lot yesterday and ended up get some mild stabbing pain and aching low down in my groin. It completely eased when I put my feet up on the sofa apart from the odd shooting pain very low down in the right hand side of my groin (maybe once or twice since yesterday evening).

I feel fine otherwise but my bump has appeared out of nowhere the last few weeks and seems to be growing very q quickly!! So I'm thinking it's everything stretching/moving to make room.

Anyone else had similar?

ScotsLamb · 01/07/2017 10:25

Purplek1tty I was just coming on to ask about growing pains. I am feeling lots of them just now all around where bump would be (still debating the fat vs bump). It's as though I've done lots of exercise yesterday and muscles are tired.
My body is also very unhappy if I sleep on my right hand side. It wakes me up and more sore bump pain. I've not had shooting pains. More pulled muscle pains sometimes.
Oh the joys.
I lie very still lots of the time to see if I can feel movement. Nope. Nothing!
15 weeks tomorrow.

I'm sure I can add people to the Facebook group.

QueenEnid · 01/07/2017 11:17

Hey guys

The Facebook group is a secret group so you will need to pm me your email address if you wish to be added!

purplek1tty · 01/07/2017 14:43

Scots it's so hard to know what's normal isn't it. But with our bodies changing so much there is bound to be various discomfort!!

Just read about someone on the main pregnancy thread who has had something similar feeling to me and her midwife called it lightening crotch. Brilliant!

CheesecakeAddict · 01/07/2017 19:12

I think the tightening feeling is normal. I don't feel any pain though, it just feels uncomfortable.

Ow! My feet hurt so much. I've bought 2 new pairs of shoes including some trainers with arch support and still my feet hurt constantly.

Oysterbabe · 01/07/2017 19:23

They're normally called Fanny Daggers on MN Purple completely normal.

I'm still so incredibly tired but feeling less sick. I'm 16w and just don't feel like doing anything at all, I'd lie on the sofa 24 hours a day if I could. I feel bad but when my toddler goes to bed and I can just veg is the best bit of the day.

CheesecakeAddict · 01/07/2017 21:52

Oh no. I've just thrown up blood. I have no idea where that came from. Shock I will need to see the doctor I think when I am back

Mrsbluebell17 · 01/07/2017 23:24

Evening all. Sorry I've been awol. Busy few days!

Purple yes I've had similar pains and feelings. Nothing that lasted too long. Can only presume it's the same thing.

Cheesecake that doesn't sound good. Have you been throwing up a lot today? Hope you're ok! When will you be able to see a doctor? Take care of yourself.

My bump is getting more bump shaped by the day. Exciting times. Nervous already about our scan next Saturday. Scans make me so nervous!! Heard sad news of a friend who had issues with her pregnancy and it's made me really sad and also worried.

Mrsbluebell17 · 02/07/2017 04:59

Guess who's awake again 👋🏼

CheesecakeAddict · 02/07/2017 07:57

I have been quite sick lately. I wonder if I've torn something in my stomach.

Can anyone else feel when the baby is low? I've woken up today barely able to walk and there is a huge pressure on my pubic bone. Not a pain. I am going on 18 weeks now so I would imagine it's the right time to start feeling baby?

purplek1tty · 02/07/2017 08:10

Thanks for the reassurance guys! Fanny daggers seem to have eased off since Friday. Smile

Thewinedidit · 02/07/2017 09:08

Fanny daggers SmileSmile

This is my new favourite phrase.

Mrsbluebell17 · 02/07/2017 09:11

Cheesecake I'll be honest that I can't feel anything so far but I know many people can. Hope you're ok!

ScotsLamb · 02/07/2017 09:29

Peachi Bluebell what maternity pillows did you buy? Would you reccommend them? I now really need as tummy does not like when I lie on my side and it has to "droop" to the bed. I already up with stretchy pain multiple times during the night.

ScotsLamb · 02/07/2017 09:29

Bold fail!

Peachi82 · 02/07/2017 10:15

ScotsLamb, I bought the original Theraline. It's 1.90 long (I am quite tall as well) and so far it's been really comfy. Bought it off Amazon.

Mrsbluebell17 · 02/07/2017 10:48

I got this one
Love2Sleep BIG U PILLOW MATERNITY SUPPORT PILLOW/ PREGNANCY/ U SHAPE/ ULTIMATE SUPPORT U PILLOW https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00T9Q37P6/ref=cmswwrcppapip_EAMdrBYupYEM5

I ordered a pillowcase for it too as it didn't come with one. It's huge but it works for me.

Carley27 · 02/07/2017 12:03

Hope everyone is having a good weekend - I've wasted a lot of mine sleeping! 😴

Struggling a bit with getting dizzy and lightheaded - any tips on avoiding/recovering?! Yesterday was the worst of it, started feeling sick and seeing spots but seemed better after a rest. I do have quite low blood pressure anyway so they did warn this might happen ☹️

glitteryvibes · 02/07/2017 12:46

carley I think The only things you can do is get up slowly to avoid the postural hypotension, I think blood pressure drops to its lowest mid pregnancy didn't someone else say? Perhaps adding A bit of salt to diet to help keep blood pressure up a bit?

I go dizzy everytime I stand up/ chcange position too quickly and tried to claim to my dp that this means I just need to lie down while he does all the cooking/cleaning etc but he wasn't having any of that!
