Lol Tip Top my thoughts exactly

Does this mean you get to avoid the fishy smoothie MontyPants? If so I feel like Beardy has done you a massive favour there Grin

MontyPants · 27/06/2017 18:57

Yes the fishy smoothie is going down the drain once I pluck up the courage to pour it away. It stinks. Beardy thanks again 😊

Carley27 · 27/06/2017 19:23

Got my 20 week scan appointment through today, 2nd August ☺️

Still waiting for my combined test results though, tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since my scan. How long did other people's take?

ScotsLamb · 27/06/2017 19:30

Carley27 Tomorrow will be my 2 weeks as well and I've not received my letter either. My 20 week scan is 14th August. Seems AGES away!

TootsyBella84 · 27/06/2017 19:44

I got my test results 11 days after scan, hopefully you ladies aren't waiting much longer. Try and take it as good news as you haven't had a phone call x

Still waiting on my date for 20w scan. Booooo I'm so impatient

ScotsLamb · 27/06/2017 19:58

OMG vegetables in my dinner. Nutrients. On purpose! How many tacos will I manage?

I got my screening results through 6 days after my scan. My 20 week scan is 1st August.

I had a consultant appointment today. I'll be having a fetal echo in a couple of months and growth scans at 28, 36 and 38 weeks. That's about it for extra monitoring. They aren't going to do any monitoring in relation to DD being early as she came at 35+5 and they only do extra monitoring if they arrived before 35 weeks. I am pleased about the extra scans, 20 weeks to birth seemed like a long time without a scan last time.

purplek1tty · 27/06/2017 20:11

I got mine yesterday, 13 days after the test. Was starting to worry they'd lost my bloodwork! Hmm

Carley27 · 27/06/2017 20:12

Thanks guys, not worried about results as they said they'd phone within a few days if it was high risk - was more worried that the letter had gone missing in the post! I have my 16 week appointment next week so I will chase it up then if it doesn't come this week.

Scots I am SO jealous of your tacos (even if they contain vegetables!)

Oyster hopefully the monitoring all goes well, the extra scans will be nice. I can't imagine having 20 weeks without a scan, luckily DH is keen for a 4D one so we will probably go for one of those to break up the 20 weeks!

My screening results took just over 2 weeks @Carley27 so I wouldn't worry, they will show up in the next few days, and if they don't, your midwife will have them!!

I had a consultant appt today too @Oysterbabe - good news is I can deliver in the midwife led centre as long as I go into labour before 40 weeks (and everything is normal between now and then!) and I don't have to have the GTT test thingy.. I also have growth scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks. Will be happy to see my boy a few more times Grin

Turkey stir fry for dinner tonight 👍

Beardy1 · 27/06/2017 20:47

No worries monty although it's not the wheatgrass that smells like fish ( just smells like grass really) so I think it was wise not to drink it. Xx

TipTop333 · 27/06/2017 21:02

Scots I opt for fajitas over tacos when it comes to tex mex in this house, would you recommend?

ScotsLamb · 27/06/2017 21:38

I open for fajitas too usually. I had taken chilli out of the freezer in my quest to eat better dinners. We had rice with homemade curry yesterday so thought tacos were a better alternative to rice again.
I have probably had fajitas twice a month for the last 5 years. Since getting pregnant we've not had them once!

MontyPants · 27/06/2017 22:11

Tacos sound good Scots. Fajitas are my go-to meal before a night shift. With a dollop of sour cream and lots of chilli. Mmmmm. I'm in bed but I could definitely eat that right now.

CarlottaJo · 27/06/2017 22:17

I had a bagel with laughing cow light! To be fair had an unusually quiet shift at work and have nibbled all day, had a subway for lunch and have been crippled with heartburn. Actually felt relatively normal this afternoon which was nice. Off out for breakfast in the morning to a fabulous little place, will post a pic for food porn xx

TipTop333 · 27/06/2017 23:21

Chilli is on my menu this week so maybe I should pick up a taco kit for day 2 (I always make enough for 2 days). What else do you have with it?

Mrsbluebell17 · 27/06/2017 23:25

Currently having a total meltdown moment as I feel so bloated after a rich dinner out that it actually hurts. I can't sleep, I can't lie comfortably and my tummy is so so full of what feels like air. I have to be up early for work and really need to sleep HmmBlush.

How are you all doing?

MontyPants · 27/06/2017 23:53

Waves at Bluebell
I'm awake too. I have itchy feet.
Don't know what to suggest to ease the bloat

Bisquick · 28/06/2017 03:53

Jetlagged and super awake at 3.50 am. Sigh! Did manage a 10 hour flight followed by work yesterday although I very glamorously threw up at Gatwick as soon as I landed. Have a fair bit to do tomorrow and want to sleep but just feeling so awake right now!

Mrsbluebell17 · 28/06/2017 04:08

Hope your itchy feet calmed down monty. I've slept very badly all night. So on and off and restlessly. My bloat has gone down but not fully and I still feel sick from it.

Oh Bisquick did you have a good trip? Have you tried eating something? I have found that a glass of milk often enables me to sleep again usually. Not today though as I can't bear to eat anything else.

It's going to be a long day anyway as I didn't sleep so well, especially if I can't squeeze in another hours sleep between now and getting up for work at 6.

Bisquick · 28/06/2017 04:13

Had a lovely trip, thanks! And that's a good suggestion Bluebell. I've had a slice of cake and a glass of milk will try sleeping again now to see if it helps! Hope you catch some more 💤 too!

Mrsbluebell17 · 28/06/2017 04:26

Honestly I've not felt this sick in a long time. I hardly dare to move so lying in bed on my phone to try and distract myself.

I hope that works for you, and the cake doesn't give you a sugar rush instead Hmm hehe.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 28/06/2017 07:03

Hope you got a little rest in the end @Mrsbluebell17 Have you tried gaviscon / rennie for the bloating? Found it helps me a bit when things get really bad

MaryShelley1818 · 28/06/2017 09:07

Wow!! Just seen we have thread #7 and we're on page 7 already!!

I thought all the chat had gone across to the FB page but clearly not! Lol!
Hope you got some sleep MrsBluebell?
I had my first Glucose Test last week, nurse couldn't get any blood, midwife didn't dare try so they called a surgeon who got some out of the main veins in my wrist. I've now had 16 needles in just over a week for 2 x attempts to get blood! This is going to be fun!!
Feeling a bit down as had 2 very negative comments about the fact we're having a boy now, feeling very protective over my little boy 💙

Peachi82 · 28/06/2017 09:25

I am back to the UK. Boyfriend very happy that I'm back, even though he came home when I just had a puke... (Does this ever stop?)
Home today, but will attempt to go to work tomorrow (and maybe even tell one of the bosses the baby news, not sure yet). I'll see how it goes, if I cannot make it through the day, I'll go to the GP and ask if I can get signed off for longer.

Bought some iron supplements and took the first dosis last night. I'm still so tired and needed a nap every afternoon for the past 2 weeks.

Has anyone tried to hear baby's heartbeat with a fetal doppler? I'm tempted to buy one just for the one off listen and to have a reassurance that everything is ok. I'm just so worried that the little one got any damages from the stressful times.
