Our gender scan is tomorrow.
Feel really rough today, so just chilling out on the sofa.

MontyPants · 24/06/2017 19:47

Ooooo Bluebell, Carly & Steph that's so exciting. Wonder if you'll all be having girls to even out the numbers? Any pre-scan predictions?

DH is home and he brought ice cream!!! I was so happy I almost ripped his clothes off as soon as the ice cream was in the freezer!!! Hahaha.

CarlottaJo · 24/06/2017 19:56

I showed mine to someone at work last night and she said the two lines here are girly bits......we'll see!

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/06/2017 20:25

My previous scan isn't clear enough to allow any predictions I don't think. So who knows!! Exciting times.

ScotsLamb · 24/06/2017 20:28

Zaber we went to The Highland Show today and I felt sick until about 11.30 (that was with the tablets). I took another tablet then with a banana and by 1pm I could eat about half a 10" pizza. It was amazing! Felt a wee bit sick not long after that but not sick enough to stop me eating 4 churros but I've just been for a nap and I now feel hungry so going to make a club sandwich for dinner. It's been a long day but better than I was anticipating actually.
Tablets seems to work after I've taken two so just need to have one early then another mid morning to get myself going.
How is everyone else?
It was pretty chilly at the show ground and my nipples were rock hard and agony! Anyone else found this? They've never done this before.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 24/06/2017 20:34

@ScotsLamb - hooooo yes, everything boob related definitely hurts more now!

ScotsLamb · 24/06/2017 20:53

I was in the bath and even the bath water was making them tingle. Jeez!

Royalsteph · 24/06/2017 21:19

My boobs have grown three sizes already. Tingle quite often and are tender.
I think blue, but only because I have three boys. Dh and Ds2 think girl, ds1 thinks it's both. So tomorrow will be fun, we've all put bets on. I've said that baby will be uncooperative as our 12 wk scan it was doing somersaults and didn't stay still once.

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/06/2017 21:36

Good luck for tomorrow Steph

TipTop333 · 24/06/2017 21:49

Placemarking!
So yesterday I was HUGE - everyone at work (including the kids) commented on how I looked months further than I am and my back and ribs were killing me (I looked it up and apparently rib pain from 16 weeks is a thing especially in, ahem, pear shaped women!) then woke up this morning with no pain, deflated belly, and the least pregnant I have looked in weeks!! Where has it gone?!

Carley27 · 24/06/2017 21:58

Bluebell is yours two weeks exactly? Mine is the Friday - can't wait to find out!

Eee good luck for tomorrow Steph!

Monty I've been thinking boy the whole time but for no actual reason, so who knows! We don't have a preference so excited for either possibility! Ooh clever DH, I'm loving ice cream atm, think it's because I'm so thirsty just now!

Scots churros.. 😍😍 glad your tablets are helping! My nipples are ok but my boobs are sore as feck! Thought they were getting better but I woke up the other night thinking they were going to explode 😂

Excited to hear your news tomorrow @Royalsteph, loving all this reveals xxx

CarlottaJo · 24/06/2017 22:14

The reveals, bloody phone!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 24/06/2017 22:31

@TipTop333 - I know what you mean. My size (and discomfort) seems to vary daily as well, but I'm guessing there are other factors like stomach bloating, how full I am, how much ab exercise I'm doing etc that might then affect how much Bump sticks out?

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/06/2017 22:39

Tiptop I know the feeling. Some days I feel I'm showing loads. Others it's barely there?

Carley yes it's two weeks today Grin

Miami81 · 25/06/2017 04:31

Tiptop
Loads I have read suggests that at around 16 is when the bloat calms down and the real bump appears. I am sure that is all that is happening. I can't wait for the bloat to calm down slightly. I am roundy anyway, and the level of discomfort at the moment is shocking.
I am awake again - obviously. Really hoping to get more kip.

Mrsbluebell17 · 25/06/2017 04:44

Miami I think I'd agree with that as I'm 16 weeks now and although the size of the bump seems to vary, when it's more obvious I do seem to be more bump shaped now rather than just carrying more weight on the bottom of my tummy as I was for the last few weeks. I'm quite pleased about that as it feels nice to look like it's a real bump Smile

Obviously I'm awake too..... Hmm

Miami81 · 25/06/2017 04:48

Waves at mrsblue. The sleep thing is really starting to get me down. We are on holidays and had to come home from dinner at 9pm so that I could get to bed. Now I am awake and probably will be for hours. Think I might try to push to later bed time this evening and see if it helps. Maybe 10 (I know, wow right.....). Perhaps I am just in a bad sleep pattern and need to break it.

Mrsbluebell17 · 25/06/2017 04:54

Miami it's worth a try. Have you tried eating something and then trying to go back to sleep when you have woken up early? When I go to bed a little later then I tend to still wake up around 4 ish, but i have found that if I have a glass of milk or something to fill my stomach slightly, I can often get back to sleep again for another couple of hours.

Just trying this now..... popped downstairs to get a glass of milk, just drinking it in bed now...... will then try and sleep again for a bit Hmm

I've just realised I sound like a baby! Feed me and I want to sleep! Shock

Mrsbluebell17 · 25/06/2017 04:54

Also, hi 👋🏼 back at you! Grin

Beardy1 · 25/06/2017 06:07

dirtygrubby which abs exercises have you been doing? I'm 16+1 and have read mixed things about ab exercises causing issues etc. My gym Pt told me to stop now since I'm showing. I hate the idea as I'm a real ab girl and so them 4 times a week. I'm trying to just incorporate all ab holding into my lifting which I do anyway but making more of a point of it. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. X

Just place marking.

Funeral was on Friday, I've still not realised that my dad is gone for real and forever, it feels more like he's in hospital or somewhere else.
I'm flying back to the UK on Tuesday, attempting to be back to work on Thursday, just see how it goes. Also want to tell one of my bosses about the pregnancy.

Oh peachi I'm sorry to hear how you are feeling. It all makes sense. It's your choice about going back to work if you feel ready. Some people need that distraction and I did a similar thing with my mums passing. Although I did take more time later on when I felt I needed. Anyways I'm sending you a massive virtual hug. Xx

Mrsbluebell17 · 25/06/2017 08:38

I can't begin to imagine how hard it is for you peachi. Do things at your own pace as much as possible. Thinking of you x
