I have really bad insomnia tonight and a 5:30am start for work.

I managed to sleep all the way through last night however last three mornings/early afternoons I have had stomach cramps and diarrhoea. Not sure what is causing them.
Anyone have any hints or tips to reduce them?

Has anyone else been experiencing kicks very low down? Feels like she''s trying to plan her exit already!!

I've mostly been feeling well but woke up with a cold/sore throat/ears today so came home from work early and feeling a bit miserable. Drinking plenty of fluids so hopefully I'll get rid of it soon.

Don't have any tips but hope you feel better soon, @ScotsLamb

I'm starting to get cramps and constipation again. I think it's just unlucky we are experiencing first trimester symptoms during the apparent blooming stage. I am convinced though that Baby is laying on my hips though. I'm not sure how possible that is but that would explain my cramps

Cheesecake. I think 3/4am is my new thing. I usually wake up and can eventually sleep again. But it's annoying. How are you?

How is everyone doing? I've been up since 4 worrying about tomorrow's 20 week scan. Sigh, don't think the scanxiety ever goes away. still can't really feel baby moving yet. I feel like I occasionally sense some twinges but nothing proper. Anyone else yet to feel proper movements? Good luck to everyone having scans this week!!

My scan is on Wednesday. Was awake for 4 hours last night stressing out. Have felt some movements for the last few days and then didn't feel anything last night so totally freaked me out. I know that they are very sketchy at this stage and that placenta position and everything can have a big impact, doesn't make it any easier though. Here to hold your hand. What time tomorrow is yours?

Good luck for the upcoming scans ladies!! Still plenty of time for movements to start (especially if your placenta is at the front!) and once they do, they will come and go a bit - prompting lots of worrying! Seems there is always something to worry about. Looking forward to seeing some lovely pics

Thanks @Miami81 - mine's first thing tomorrow morning, so just need to get through today. Have an anterior placenta, so hopefully that's why I can't feel much movement. gah... so nervous!

Hey Bisquick - minimal movement here at 20+1, think I've started feeling something, but definitely sporadic - only really felt when sat at desk at work. Felt nothing over the weekend when up and about all the time. I've got my scan on Friday and definitely have scanxiety. As we're staying Team Yellow, it really is just an anomaly scan so keeping fingers crossed all is ok.

good luck with your scans Bisquick and Miami81 ! At my 20 week scan I found out that baby has been using the placenta as a pillow so I couldn't feel kicks or movement properly but now (23+4) I've had a few strong enough that I can see them....so definitely plenty of time for the movements to start.

I have my fingers crossed for you today.

I didn't really feel anything that I could say was definitely movement until after my 20 week scan. It was almost as if by whatever they checked at the scan they moved things a bit and now I can feel a lot more since and it gets more frequent and stronger every few days but I was like you and at my 20'week I couldn't really pinpoint anything in particular.

Like glasto said, once the movement starts then you start to worry again when there is a quiet patch!!

Thank you for the handholds! All went well. Spent the night freaked out, to the point where DH was actually telling me "bedtime stories" to try to get me to sleep for a few hours. Good practice I suppose?

But got to see the baby kicking and at one point she gave us a little wave as well! Doc thinks it'll be a few more weeks before I can start feeling her move, but tried telling me to calm down!

All good at our scan, thanks for the good wishes. It's a girl. Surprised and delighted. I was convinced it was a boy after the 12 week scan. Can't get over how much you see. Crazy.

Anyone else not on the Facebook group yet? I feel i'm missing all the fun not being on there but didn't want to move to Facebook really as I'm sure I'll spend all my time on there

I keep forgetting to check this now there's the fb group. Welcome newbies! It's all getting very real now some of us are about to hit the 24 week mark. Still can't believe I'm having an actual baby!!
