Sorry I've been AWOL. Been the busiest week. Hope everyone is ok. Welcome to the newbies. Congrats to those who had successful scans. We have to get a second appointment for our scan as the baby was at a funny angle so they couldn't get all required checks completed. .

Have you had your 20 week scan yet? Are you team pink, blue or yellow?
I'm due 24th December and staying team yellow until the end. Scan isn't for another 16 days as we go on holiday to Cornwall a week today.

I can't sleep. I just have one nightmare after another. I feel like such a child.

I'm 20 weeks tomorrow, and the insomnia has kicked in, it's driving me mad as when I'm tired my sickness comes back. Dh is away so no chance to catch up on sleep. Off on holiday with the kids tomorrow and I'm kind of dreading it though it will be fine once I'm there.

I slept much better last night. I'm hoping I'm not joining the insomnia club

This is no3! Scan went well and had a really lovely sonographer who spent loads of time showing us everything.

Just popping in to say congrats on your girl @Mrsbluebell17 ♥️ glad all is well. Wish I was still in this club! Miss my mini bean EDD 10.12.17 every day. Trying again now and on cycle 3 post mc. Finally accepted this will be a new pregnancy next time. Best of luck to you all x

grumpysquirrel I'm really sorry to hear about your mc. I have my fingers crossed for you that this is your cycle. I hope you have someone you can talk about it to if you want, I know I found that the hardest after mine that everyone was too embarrassed to let me talk

I managed to get about 3 hours sleep this morning. 1 neighbour having a massive domestic, another having loud sex, cars driving too fast outside (ok maybe I am a bit hyperaware at night), then loud people passing in front of the room coming back from the clubs, baby decided it was hungry, baby decided crisps were the wrong thing to eat at 3am and then we felt sick. Oh yes, and then to finish it off we had some (albeit painless) Braxton hicks with some fanny daggers. Yey!
(Now I am super grumpy from my lack of sleep )

Your neighbours sound... interesting, cheesecake. Lack of sleep is awful. Could you ask midwife/doctor about hints/tips/drugs to help?

I slept ok finally, though my little boy was up 3 times in the night and my daughter got up for the day at 5.40 though I ignored them until nearly 7. (They were playing not crying btw!)
Going on holiday today dh not coming, dreading the flight even though it's only Spain, my boy is not the quietest of kids and is prone to running away at any given chance so security should be interesting as his reins will have to come off hopefully the people on security will be intimidating enough to stop him being a little sod.

But I am looking forward to some sunshine it's miserable as hell here in soggy Cardiff.

Spain sounds amazing. We are heading to Cornwall for a week on a Saturday. I get the feel it's going to be as soggy as Scotland.

Next week is showing as not too bad weather wise here in the middle of the South Coast (sunshine and white clouds) so you may be lucky in Cornwall - or hopefully at least not as bad as this week! Though what do they know this far in advance?!
