Also if you'd like to join our non-public Facebook group where there is a bit more activity please feel free to PM me your email address and I can add you Smile No pressure though as we still check in here too.

fishfingerSarnies · 25/07/2017 10:22

Fuck it I'm going to join the Facebook group. I wasn't going to as I'm still on one from my little boy and thought it might get confusing but I will go for it. Who do I need to pm?

randomnumber44 · 25/07/2017 10:31

We were told at the 16 week (nhs) scan that they were both boys so Holly would be off the cards anyway. Keeping our minds open though in case of errors. I'll send my email address along to you shortly.

Brens13 · 25/07/2017 10:50

You can PM me fishfinger yeay come one over!!

Ah that's exciting random. One of DH's friends has just had twin boys, they're adorable. Joseph and Jesus it is! Grin

Peachi82 · 25/07/2017 10:52

What's wrong with Holly for a boy? (joking)
Welcome! I think you're the only twin mum amongst us? (not quite sure)

Had a puke this morning. I am 18+5 for God's sake... It is exhausting and annoying.
Baby day tomorrow with Lage 16 week appointment and scan in the afternoon. I'm quite anxious.

Thursday we're flying to see my family over the weekend. Looking forward to this :-D

Peachi82 · 25/07/2017 10:53

With late 16 week appointment.
My phone has a mind of its own.

ScotsLamb · 25/07/2017 12:32

I'm 18 + 2 and have spewed the last 4 days. I have a birthday "event" on Thursday and I have no idea how I'm going to manage. People are still telling me to try ginger biscuits as they WILL help... really?!?

Ooh lots of Christmas Eve babies. Yes to 38 weeks!! The less time to countdown this sickness the better.

I'm going into work today during the holidays to try and get on top of things before going back. Hoping it spurs me into wanting to get back to "normal".

ScotsLamb · 25/07/2017 12:33

Random I think you are the only twin mummy. Congratulations. I'm following a blog about a twin mummy. The blog is called PoppyD I think.

CheesecakeAddict · 25/07/2017 12:40

Oh wow, so many Christmas babies! I think I may be one of the earlier ones...unless I go over, which is likely since it's no.1

Today is a PJ, bed and call the midwife binge day. I am so exhausted I can't even get out of bed.

scotslamb I love how everyone has an opinion on what "cures" morning sickness. I wasn't sick yesterday or today, so maybe week 21 is the lucky week. Fingers crossed for us both!

randomnumber44 · 25/07/2017 13:01

Thanks scots, i'll keep an eye out for that one. Been struggling to find any twin blogs that seem anything like my life. I've been really lucky with the sickness, it pretty much stopped for me at 12 weeks (except for if I accidentally touch my tongue with my toothbrush).

princessmumy · 26/07/2017 02:05

Hello lovely lady's!
How has everyone been feeling? There's so many of us with December babies! I'm hoping I won't be going over my due date to Christmas Day.
Are you all enjoying your pregnancies so far?

I'm 19+2, my stomach is unbelievably big due to bloating, was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to deal with it or what to cut from my diet to combat it?

ScotsLamb · 26/07/2017 07:06

I have been drinking lots more water and that seems to reduce my bloating. I know that when I stop having as much water I'm more bloated and gassy... lovely!

CheesecakeAddict · 26/07/2017 08:31

Drinking LOADS of water has helped me de-bloat.
The gassiness though, hmm no that's constantly there. Not as much now as the first trimester though

futuremrsconnor85 · 26/07/2017 14:18

Hi all!

I'm new here ( but a long time MN lurker!) and am expecting my first baby on December 11th. I have my 20 anomaly scan tomorrow and am quite nervous! We are going to be team yellow though! Wishing everyone a healthy pregnancy x

Brens13 · 26/07/2017 15:09

Hi future and welcome to the thread (and team yellow). Congratulations and I hope your scan goes well.

If you'd like to you can also join our non-public Facebook group as it has a bit more action that this thread. You can PM me your email address and I can add you - tho no problem if not as we still visit this thread too :)

x

ScotsLamb · 26/07/2017 21:03

Welcome! We are team yellow as well. Hope your scan goes well tomorrow. I've got 2 weeks until mine

skimama1212 · 26/07/2017 23:39

Another December baby here! Due 19th :)

Brens13 · 27/07/2017 07:54

Wahoo welcome skimama. Hope it's all going well for you :)

CheesecakeAddict · 27/07/2017 16:58

So my entire life I have hated mash potatoes. So naturally guess what I've been eating all day? I haven't stopped eating all day. (Not a bad thing really as with the sickness I have lost weight so I still have the 25lbs I'm allowed to put on)

runnerbean39 · 27/07/2017 18:32

Hi all, apologies for the late reply but thank you for the welcome Brens, Bisquick and Scots – there seem to be quite a few of us due around Christmas Eve/Day…did anyone try to plan it that way…we certainly didn’t Grin We are in the middle of moving house Confused I wouldn't recommend it whilst pregnant!

Re. how my pregnancy is going – not bad at all in comparison to some, only nauseous in the beginning and just tired, but the exhaustion hasn’t gone away, I nap for about an hour each day. I also get these weird cramps in my bum at night at the moment which are damn well annoying!

I also had my scan yesterday and everything is absolutely fine, which was a huge relief, although apparently I have a low-lying anterior placenta so am having another scan at 32 weeks. Luckily, I’m a calm person day-to-day, as I can see how one might be more scared by that news!!

futuremrsconnor85 · 27/07/2017 19:30

Thanks for the welcome/kind wishes, I too am happy to report a happy 20 week scan. I thought it would be so difficult no to ask the genfer but it was easy! (our sonographer was team yellow too) Feel relieved that scan is done x :)

ScotsLamb · 28/07/2017 10:46

Glad both scans went well ladies. I'm back to the weird dreams. Had a dream I was giving birth. The actual pushing part was blacked out but the got to hold and feed my little boy (we are team yellow). My OH has really bad dyslexia but tried to spell Ruairidh. Bless. His dream person tried his best! I then fed Dream baby and put it in crib to sleep. I then woke up in real life wondering where it was! Any good weird dreams from anyone? I've not had any more scary machine gun dreams.

Brens13 · 28/07/2017 13:45

I had a dream the other day that I was in a very plush VIP commentary box at a rugby match with Will Greenwood and Austin Healey. Was having a great time, and Austin had just told me I was fit when DH woke me up to say bye. Was one of those just really nice real story dreams that you wanted to get straight back into. Not that odd tho....

NB. I in no way fancy Austin Healey but was still quite chuffed he thought I was fit lol.

ScotsLamb · 28/07/2017 14:26

That's a good dream! I like those sorts of dreams and always hope I get to go back to sleep to finish it.

ScotsLamb · 28/07/2017 16:24

I can't remember if it was on here or another thread where we chatted about sleeping bags and what babies should wear with each tog. The Groegg instructions are very helpful.
